With all the hullabaloo about President Donald Trump’s “peace” gestures toward Russia over Ukraine and the resetting of US-Russia bi-lateral relations, it is worth remembering the “pivot to Asia” announced by the Obama administration in 2011 and the coup d’état it carried out in Ukraine in 2014.
For those who might not remember, I would recommend two films: John Pilger’s The Coming War on China and Oliver Stone’s Ukraine on Fire.

the US should shift its military resources
reducing military aid to Ukraine
change U.S. defense policy from concentrating on China, as he had previously argued, to the Western Hemisphere.Colby aligns with Vice President JD Vance on the desire to disentangle the U.S. from foreign commitments.
Colby’s policy team is also responsible for a forthcoming global posture review, which outlines where U.S. forces are stationed around the globe, and a theater air and missile defense review, which takes stock of U.S. and allies’ air defenses and makes recommendations for where to locate American systems.
The Pentagon is expected to release both reviews as soon as next month.”It is expected that the new global posture review will move U.S. military resources from Europe, and probably also from Asia, back to the States.

Here’s the deception:RFK Jr.: “The ‘vaccinated’ vs. ‘unvaccinated’ data is the biggest statistical trick of this pandemic.
Here’s the deception:
You are NOT counted as “vaccinated” until 2 weeks after your 2nd shot. For the first 6 weeks, the vaccine is ineffective. Infection & death rates rise.
But all those deaths are attributed to the “unvaccinated” group.
This creates an illusion of high efficacy for the first 2 months. Then, the protection falls off a cliff.
By month 7, efficacy doesn’t just hit zero—it plummets into negative territory.
That means you are more likely to get COVID than someone who never took the vaccine.
This isn’t a theory. This is the data, and it’s holding up across every country in the world.
They sold us a temporary shield that ultimately makes us more vulnerable, and then they rigged the stats to hide the decline.”

And then leave the government to JD Vance or Mike Johnson?
I hated the Russia!Russia! Junk before and during Trump’s first term because it rang to me as obviously false. While I did see Trump committing what, in my view, were impeachable offenses, the actual impeachments were about spurious issues that were, in my eyes, obviously fabricated. For all of that time, I disliked Trump. I still dislike Trump. I don’t like his brash style or the way he speaks (and acts) without fully thinking through what he says (does). (Like that ridiculous executive order about flag burning.)
Your assertion seems, to me, to be verisimilitude to all of the past (and many present) witch-hunts against Trump — a tendency to conflate what he actually does with things over which he might have some itty bitty influence.
A corollary example: a few weeks after my kids started spending increased time with their father seven years ago, all three of them displayed notedly changed behavior that was adverse in nature. Out of concern, I got my daughter into behavioral health services. (at that time, my sons already were.). My ex then manipulated the behavioral health staff for two of the kids into believing that the brand new fifty/fifty time split was the status quo, and framed me as a problematic parent who was the prima facie cause of my children’s “behavioral issues.” The staff discussed these things behind closed doors, documented the discussion in writing, and my ex then pulled the records of these concerns and put them into an emergency petition to the court to remove my custody.
To my eyes, you are doing something similar with Trump: framing him as “the man responsible” for the Gaza conflict, when it is very, very obvious that this is not the case.
I would like very much for Trump to end yesterday all military aid to Israel so that the US would have zero culpability moving forward for the death and destruction rained down on Gaza. I also know that Trump, sadly, is simply not going to by my champion in that arena. However, at the end of the day, the greatest responsibility for the genocide of the Gazan people lies with those who are using the weapons and directing the people using the weapons.
I hope that Trump’s desire to receive the Nobel Peace Prize incentivizes him to be a part of a successful action to stop the bloodshed in Gaza. It would be very nice if the people of Gaza could retain their homeland. However, that may not be a part of the equation. It isn’t right. It isn’t just. There are many things in this world, and in my own life, that are not fair. Often, all we can do is pick up the pieces and figure out what to do given the situation as it is.

ParticipantKunstler:
Thus, you have that battery of US Senators all paid handsomely by Pharma to defend the industry with hysterical obfuscation against the lone figure, Mr. Kennedy, striving to correct all that fantastic corruption. He retorted to their malign nonsense honorably, revealing their conflicts of interest, their cupidity, the bales of dollars paid by pharma to the likes of Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, and the rest over the years, and their longstanding silence on the afore-mentioned poisoning and drugging of America.
Incidentally, to understand how this grift got so exorbitant, look to the unfortunate 2010 Supreme Court decision Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission (558 U.S. 310). In a 5-4 ruling (by majority conservative justices, then including Alito, Thomas, and Scalia), SCOTUS decided that previous prohibitions on corporate money in election campaigns were unconstitutional because corporations enjoy legal status as persons, that is, as citizens, and giving money to election campaigns is a form of free speech under the first Amendment, which can’t be abridged by any law.
And so, the spigot opened on vast fortunes laid on politicians by corporations seeking to protect their interests. If anything went to warp speed, it was the Beltway lobbying industry. The Citizens United decision was a singular tragedy for our country. The legal reasoning behind it was specious because corporations, unlike real human citizens, do not have duties, obligations, and responsibilities to the nation, entailed in their citizenship. Rather, corporations have duties, obligations, and responsibilities solely (and explicitly in law) to their shareholders, whose interests are not necessarily consistent with the public interest. Why has no one noticed this?
Well, they haven’t and that is exactly where American politics went badly off-the-rails. The resulting accelerated corruption in the public health agencies of our government has been a disgusting side effect of all that, which RFK, Jr., has been called to clean up, a Herculean task. The most visible manifestation of that corruption is the chronic illness of the people — 76.4 percent of all of us, he told the committee, with eight out of ten young men physically unfit for military service. We’re the sickest nation in the world.
When the senators confabulate over “the science,” what they really mean is the armature of medical authority that has enabled the money-flow to their campaign committees (and eventually to their own bank accounts.) It’s that very scaffold of authority that has collapsed. Why? Because the medical authorities lied over and over about the Covid-19 episode, and especially about the vaccines, which were never properly tested, and were neither safe nor effective.
Your own doctors got paid extravagantly to push the vaccine. The so-called Pfizer Papers, collected, collated, and analyzed by Naomi Wolf’s organization (because nobody else would do it) showed the sloppiness of the whole process behind the vaccines’ development and release, and the pharma companies’ evasion of responsibility for the damage done. The medical journals lied about everything from the origin of the virus to the efficacy of the vaccine. The CDC campaigned against viable, inexpensive treatments for the virus. The CDC pushed the worthless, gamed PCR tests to jack up the case numbers. The CDC pushed the idiotic mask rules, school closings, business closures, and the vaccine mandates. The hospitals killed people with remdesivir and respirators, and got paid for it! The authority of all these parties is blown, especially the CDC’s — and these perfidious senators have the gall to hide behind this “science”?
What Mr. Kennedy is challenged with is sorting through all the official lies told by these agencies — the so-called “data” — to arrive at a comprehensible picture of what really happened. And then to inquire beyond Covid into many other pharma products that might be making Americans sick. Neither the politicians nor the people employed by the agencies when Covid went down want that to happen.

Trump can bomb Iran for Israel but cannot stop weapons shipments to Israel? He can protect big pharma from legal consequences but cannot stop a few ships/planes taking weapons to Israel? The Houthis can hit Israeli ports but Trump cannot stop other countries from supplying Israel with weapons? Your assertion that Trump cannot do these things is not making sense. It is something called “leadership”, look it up in the dictionary. Your faux ignorance, expressing that other leaders and their lieutenants are responsible for crimes in the past, stuff not happening today, means that it is not leader Trump and his lieutenants’ fault that Gaza is happening today. Trump is not the only bad guy so even though he is genociding TODAY, he is the leader TODAY, he is the guy who can stop it TODAY, we should focus on the people who committed crimes in the past otherwise this is not fair? This is so childish that I feel I am back in the toddler zone again; reading Dr D does that to me.

Participant“Gaza” is shorthand for a series of murders committed by Israel, enabled and financed by America, which is led by Trump. Sure, there have been murders in the past, we know that, but there is nothing we can do about those murders, we cannot bring those people back, that is all gone.
The starving people being massacred in Gaza today, right now as you read this comment, are still alive; they could be saved by Trump. He could save that starving dying child by picking up the telephone right now, but he does not.
What others have done in the past, what Trump has done in the past, the masses of dead children that Trump has killed, those children are gone, but the ones still alive can be saved, Trump has that in his power, his refusal to save them is the point; even Trump cannot bring back the children that he killed in the past.
The American people should be trying to stop him from continuing to kill children. Instead, many American people are making excuses for him, pretending that the principles that are used in USA domestic law do not apply to genocide. Those principles being that if you are an accomplice when a murder is committed, then you are guilty of murder as much as the person who pulled the trigger. While Trump is a Netanyahu accomplice, he is guilty of every one of the Gaza murders.
