Is this another form of slavery? Why didn’t she just keep doing her job in pensions. Certainly none of the rest of us listen to their bosses at all, since they neither know, nor care what we do. In fact, isn’t this really the best situation, since she can stamp the department most with her will and get the most done? So if this is intolerable, does this not suggest she doesn’t do jack on her own but runs to her master for every little decision? If not, then isn’t this just another case of being hyper-political but pretending not to be.

It’s going to come back to par, either when the market corrects or when the bonds are redeemed—and somebody’s got a capital loss of large magnitude sitting right on their balance sheet at the moment.
That’s the crisis because it’s being done on leverage. Of course, there are some cash buyers, but all the smart money and the speculators are buying this low-yielding or negative-yielding debt on repo and collecting the capital gain. Let’s say the price moves 110 to 120 on 95% leverage, and they’re laughing all the way to the bank. This is big-time speculation.
When it reverses, they’re going to unwind these trades and all these elevated, insane prices in the bond market.
That’s what $16 trillion of negative yield means. It equals insanity.

Not long after 9/11, there was a video (no idea if it still exists) of Larry Silverstein, who had leased the entire Twin Towers complex just 2 months prior from the Port Authority, saying “we decided to pull the building”. And of course you can’t pull a building (that size) if there are no explosives installed. That made it all very clear. Not that I think we’ll ever find out the entire story. I used to say: solve the JFK murder first, and then get back to me.

why anybody still thinks the Saudis had anything to do with 9/11 eludes me. what possible motive could they have? the amount of organization was enormous. it had been planned for decades. it takes a very sophisticated organization to pull off something like that. only Mossad has that capability. we have more than enough evidence now to identify the perpetrators and put them on trial. maybe the forthcoming grand jury investigation will move things forward.
there are connections with the Jeffrey Epstein debacle. the same people are involved for the same evil reasons. we have a real cancer in our midst.
