War via Asian Massage Parlors and white sugar daddies. Give me death, murder and mayhem like that any day over over the obliterating effects of thermonuclear war, carpet bombing, predator drone assassination, and the torture/murder of children by my country’s elite leaders.

This is not a dream. Its a nightmare
Even the 1% and the enablers will become garbage

The West of course would fight such an attack. In 1994, in a world conference in San Francisco’s Fairmont Hotel including H. Bush and M. Thatcher, Xin He reported, “The outstanding people of the world attendance thought that in the 21st century a mere 20% of the world’s population would be adequate to maintain the world’s economy and prosperity. The other 80% will be human garbage, unable to produce…high-tech means should be used to eliminate them gradually .”

Doomer porn, like all porn, sells best to audiences with no personal experience of the real thing. And I think I can safely deduce that no one in today’s audience has experienced the end of the world.

There are commercial advantages to this form of publication and idea propagation, the first of which is that no one in the audience can prove the authors wrong in any of the alleged details. The second big advantage is that in the unlikely event of TEOTWAWKI actually happening there won’t be many disappointed customers to drag ya into court for misrepresentation.

I look at it this way. Contemplation of Doomsday is fun, entertaining, and constructive. Done properly it gets ya thinking about changing your low-down-ways so as to assure the survival of ones self and loved ones . Wanna be the ” Last Persons Standing” ? Then clean up your act. The sort of compelling motivation to self improvement that we could all use more of. Helps sell a lot of survival goods and hardware too, so there’s that.

My only problem with the genre is that I have yet to see even one example of it in which the victims behave like actual living breathing functioning human beings, for whom the instinct and impulse to survive surpasses all other instinctual drives.

This oft overlooked characteristic of life explains the miracle of Fukushima. A 20 foot high wall of water unexpectedly swept over a densely built up coastline housing millions of people, destroying half a million structures in minutes and yet killed less than 20,000 people and negatively impacted GDP by less than half of a percentage point. How is that even possible ?

When confronted by reality, people get real. . . . real fast.

    Yes.

And let’s manufacture in a big way again with workers cooperatives so that economic power is distributed throughout our economy, rather than closely held by a relatively small number of players at the top of business and government.

    Greetings,
I have been listening to, learning from, and enjoying the conversations at TAE for well over a year, but have until now discerned no point of entry for myself. I have a memory that pertains to this post, however, and some questions I’ve been waiting to pose to this small community, so here we go.

    First the memory:
Some 15 +\- 2 years ago I was a grad student at the University of Washington, attempting to straddle the divide between “earth and space sciences” and urban planning. There were regular guest seminars, and one of them I attended was a presentation by a NASA scientist on a study that used land-cover classifications derived from satellite data to estimate the impact of urbanization on agricultural productivity. The talk was technical and uncontroversial, but during the Q&A session afterward the presenter said something that stuck with me, though no one else seemed to think much of it. He said that at a remote sensing conference in China he attended a few months earlier he had pointed out to a Chinese colleague that the NASA analysis showed that the agricultural productivity of the United States had hardly been affected by urbanization, but the story was quite the opposite in China and the trend was not good. The NASA fellow asked if that was a concern, at which the Chinese colleague said something along the lines of “no, we will just eat from the American land.”

And now, after a bit of context, I have some questions for y’all:
The good doctor’s prescriptions seem well-advised, if one is in a position to influence what the greater “we” does. I am not in that position. I have 3 young (<5 years old) children, a teenager, and a full time job that is needed to pay for land rent, food, and modest entertainments, and to service debt inherited from a previous bad marriage. It can sometimes take the better part of a day for my wife and me to finish a short conversation. I live and work among comfortable, professional-class urbanites. I can talk to almost no-one about the sort of things that are discussed at TAE; apart from my wife there is only one other person in my circle of acquaintances who is not deeply propagandized by MSM. Questions arise:
    1. If some great struggle against fascism (Great Reset, CCP take-over, or whatever) is in the offing, what are isolated dissidents to do? Is there some place where those inclined to resistance and liberty are sufficiently dense on the ground to have some hope of mounting resistance, but not so dense as to be easily massacred?
    2. Is there anywhere that the authorities are not hopelessly compromised?
    3. How can those of us disinclined to go along with “the elimination of all human rights forever” resist that, or effectively work toward “return to a forgiving, cohesive unity”, when we are just isolated dissidents communicating over monitored channels, with all the vulnerability that entails?

    All the best,
    CA

Raul I really wish you’d stop giving a soapbox to a deluded man who gets his worldview from the Book of Revelations (and that’s probably the least sinister of his epistemological wells). Doomer porn is right, a signal is in there with the Noise, but man is there a LOT of noise.

I’ve read more than my fair share of this stripe of reactionary-right doomer machismo over the years, it’s the sort of muck that required shoveling on the old LATOC boards. It reeks – a perfect mirror of Nicole Foss’s Trump Derangement Syndrome, which is equally nauseating and sad. Can’t listen to her any more either.

J.M. Greer has his faults, but dear Christ, a few drops of Archdruidry would go a long way for Dr. D and his ilk. Here, have some R.A. Wilson he’ll do just as well.

QUOTE: “All conspiracy buffs are persecuted eventually. This is a sociological law on which I would stake my life, because I have seen it confirmed in every conspiracy-seeking group I’ve ever known. Perhaps the persecution is created by the conspiracy-seekers themselves (in the sense that every neurotic creates his own problems), or perhaps the mad satire in Illuminatus is true after all and every conspiracy ever imagined actually exists. The fact remains that those who believe the world is run by the Jesuits get persecuted as much as those who believe it is run by the Elders of Zion; and those who believe it is run by the Rockefellers get persecuted in exactly equal measure. People who believe the Air Force is deliberately hiding the facts about the UFOs get persecuted by a special group of sinister beings known as the Men in Black, who claim to be Air Force officers—but who are (naturally) denied by the Air Force. There almost seems to be a neurotic-psionic law: whatever you fear most will eventually come after you.

The shaman, of course, lives through this process on more levels than the ordinary paranoid, because the shaman is determined to confront every terror and conquer it. Many, however, are shamans without knowing it, and invoke their private demons in total ignorance, thinking it is all coming from outside themselves…

In researching occult conspiracies, one eventually faces a crossroad of mythic proportions (called Chapel Perilous in the trade). You come out the other side either stone paranoid or an agnostic; there is no third way. I came out agnostic.

Chapel Perilous, like the mysterious entity called “I,” cannot be located in the space-time continuum; it is weightless, odorless, tastless and undetectable by ordinary instruments. Indeed, like the Ego, it is even possible to deny that it is there. And yet, even more like the Ego, once you are inside it, there doesn’t seem to be any way to ever get out again, until you suddenly discover that it has been brought into existence by thought and does not exist outside thought. Everything you fear is waiting with slavering jaws in Chapel Perilous, but if you are armed with the wand of intuition, the cup of sympathy, the sword of reason, and the pentacle of valor, you will find there (the legends say) the Medicine of Metals, the Elixir of Life, the Philosopher’s Stone, True Wisdom and Perfect Happiness.

That’s what the legends always say, and the language of myth is poetically precise. For instance, if you go into that realm without the sword of reason, you will lose your mind, but at the same time, if you take only the sword of reason without the cup of sympathy, you will lose your heart. Even more remarkably, if you approach without the wand of intuition, you can stand at the door for decades never realizing you have arrived. You might think you are just waiting for a bus, or wandering from room to room looking for your cigarettes, watching a TV show, or reading a cryptic and ambiguous book. Chapel Perilous is tricky that way.”

While the US politicians were selling the country and making China strong having them sell us cheep plastic trinkets, life for the most in the country was, still, way too good to notice or bother. Atop of that if good number in citizenry finds particular enjoyment in “interest” of how people in “other system” live, or at best, imagining how “that system” is creeping it’s way into the country, there you have it.

Raw immediacy of early sixties pop art, still fresh as six decades ago. USA has quite a few high points in art, in general, to be proud of.

    4 Rules For Happy Living

    1. The world (Reality , Truth, the Universe, whatever ya wanna call it) is what it is and does what it does. You are in that world, right now, whether you like it or not., and there is no quarter asked or given.

    2. To last for very long, you better figure out what the fuck Rule #1 is all about. . . and pronto.

    3. Based on how things go with Rule #2 , you also better act upon what you now believe or strongly suspect to be real (or True, etc.). You have absolutely no choice. You SHALL act, and you always will.

    4. To evaluate how these rules are working out for ya, see Rule #1, and adjust your knowledge, actions, results and consequences accordingly.

ref : ” a crossroad of mythic proportions (called Chapel Perilous in the trade). You come out the other side either stone paranoid or an agnostic; there is no third way. ”

I’ve never taken much notice or given a hoot about the occult because, hey, if something is “covered up” then it is COVERED UP , right ? Nothing to see here until it get’s uncovered . . . at which point it ain’t occult any more, right?

Nevertheless, and occultist nonsense aside, there is, of course, a third way , and therefore there are outcomes other than paranoia &/or unrequited agnosticism. The third way is to answer this question :

“What , in my most intelligently and enlightened BEST interests , shall I do now ?

Berlin cca 1937. Hubby to his wife: “Listen honey, I got this great piece of land where we can move away from everything.” Or WWI trenches that we see in scratchy reels and wonder, since we were so detached from such a existence, how “poor souls” can possibly be in such a mess. Life, dreams and talent destroyed on mass scale.
If one can answer why he/she thinks that “this time is different”, as not to find oneself in similar position (for further generations to marvel about), that pretty much is the key for surfacing at the other end alive and, as some are also expecting, well.

Dr. D is right; “the times they are a changing”.

It one is alive it is simply impossible not to believe in conspiracy theories. Take Bill Gates. He is buying up farmland in the USA. In a renter economy with 0% interest rate, land is about the only way to make more money if one has created a monopoly like Microsoft. Or is it to produce corn and soybeans to sell to Asia to feed the workers where all the Windows computer hardware is manufactured.

I have the last episode of “The Looming Tower” on Hulu yet to watch. I already know what is going to happen next. The end result, 9/11, was blamed on hubris, keeping the House of Saud on the throne to support the petrodollar, and wasting trillions of dollars on purpose in the Global War on Terror (GWOT) to line the pockets of war profiteers. If you are peeling onions what is further underneath?

In disaster B-movies, TV reporters set the stage for the action to follow. What is weird about reality is that corporate media cuts out anything that adversely effects their owner’s profits, so the truth isn’t the truth. There is no prelude. The US Postal System stops working and nobody reports it. What else isn’t working? There are hints that global manufacturing is shutting down due to failure of just-in-time logistics i.e. Toyota shut a US auto assembly line due to lack of computer chips.

Today’s post below links to the dire resurgence of COVID-19 in Manaus Brazil that has prostrated the city. It is right on the Amazon River just around 300 miles just south of the equator with tropical humidity, lack of a breeze, interior location and cloudy most of time that cuts down on vitamin D made by the skin.

The United States has the highest number of deaths in the world followed by Brazil and then Mexico. What is it with the Americas?

The US federal government has once again failed spectacularly to protect its citizens. I agree with Chris Hedges. My take is that the great reset is unintentional, but inevitable, in a society governed solely to enrich the wealthy at the expense of everyone else.

    Writer: Worst. Disaster. Porn. Ever.

“I don’t personally feel this is our future.”

Deagel is wrong and already has had to change forecast.

What would address this problem is exactly the actions that would fix everything else.

The reactions are peculiar though. So your thesis is that Generals and Defense ministers of major nuclear powers do NOT have plans to kill people? Wouldn’t that make them really bad at their job if they didn’t have the plans and materials to fight wars and save their populations? Wouldn’t you fire any general or Defense Minister who didn’t?

What about the U.S. Generals, perhaps posted at Ft. Deitrick? Do they have materials to kill people and the written plans to use them? We don’t have any Pacific Trident submarines swimming around? Have we already attacked Asia, killing 500,000 North Koreans? Is there a very famous American general who planned and even attempted to invade and conquer China and was only narrowly restrained? Was there already a disease that appeared that seemed to primarily attack Asians, and did China identify and believe this was directed at them? Has there already been financial war against Asia, the Tigers of Thailand, which has already killed many million people, but economically?

You have a chessboard, and sitting as a pawn on C2, and across the board, there’s an army! There are at least 3 pieces that can drop out of air and kill you from across the board! It can happen any minute!

Yes, they have an army. And WE have an army. And Europe has an army. And Russia has an army. And we all have intel services. And any time any piece moves, ALL the pieces move in reaction. So what you have since Ogg hit Gog is a Balance of Power. If any of these people were all-powerful, why are we still here? If there are no good guys, what’s restraining them? Should I have to tell you this? We’ve been over-focusing on the U.S. — goodness how we’ve been over-focusing — and Europe, but that’s our lineage and our family, while ignoring this enormous force in Asia, indeed all of Asia. Which is their way, fighting quiet, not letting outsiders into their private matters.

What I’m trying to do is point out how the chessboard is or was positioned. Right now there are reformers in the U.S., attempting to prevent perpetual wars to take over the world: the Nationalists. Right now the people are against the CCP and are attempting to reform the CCP and China’s very severe, mortal problems, perhaps even Xi himself. I can’t tell because everything’s hidden, and if true here, ten-fold more there.

So IF this is true — which despite the response, I didn’t make up these speeches, and they’re pretty similar to the “We’ll coup who we want” talk and “we came, we saw, tehehehehe”,” “Son of a B-, we toppled Ukraine” speeches — IF this is true, or has been a large, long-standing positioning for China to solve their upcoming problems, what does the chessboard look like? Are Pompeo and Military Intel full of crap, or is Biden’s approach preferable?

Even IF this tells you China needs food, they know they need all of it, and it’s life-and-death, what does that tell you here in Minnesota or Arizona? Or Southend-on-sea? Maybe….food prices go up? Maybe…financial systems go down? Maybe…we can’t import goods for ourselves when 2/3rds of them are made in China? Maybe…we unify with China, get on the same page of cooperation, or we both die?

It’s all up to you. The knowledge will inform the choices you make. Since your situation is especially unique, I can’t tell you the response. But I can tell you the information.

My fear, it doth envelop me
Til what I fear is all I see.

“…for whom the instinct and impulse to survive surpasses all other instinctual drives.”
Is that why millions are lining up to participate in a vaccine trial of a vaccine that has been shown in the past to kill its recipients; a vaccine that makes them so sick they are in bed for two days- to protect them from a disease that has a minuscule chance of killing them, let alone making them sick? A disease that has treatments that make the chance of death even more minuscule?

Every communications revolution has changed civilization on a massive scale. The smart phone/internet communications revolution has made us feel each other’s presence so that the world seems tiny and crowded and dangerous.
It’s odd that there have been no major “viruses” or interruptions that take out phones.

    Thanks, Ilargi. Thanks, Dr. D.

You can take these facts you have and fabricate any number of possible scenarios. What is the point though? Should we write letters to our congress members alerting them to this possibility? Isn’t there enough doom actually going on right now, today;’s reality, to discuss, or try to plan for, or look for solutions for (hah!)? There is nothing to do with conjecture of this magnitude other than try to dispel it for something more constructive. (I know, very simple, but very difficult.)

No way that China will engage in Nuke-war-blasts unless forced as last-ditch, and even then, maybe not. China’s aim is to expand commercially, control ressources outside of China more firmly, augment exchanges and supervise it all.

E.g. Agri-land + its workers in Africa which can be exploited. .. *First thing to watch*

Essential is: Transport => stakes in ports, ship companies, rail, etc., as specialisation and using cheap labor for profit rests on shunting goods, the essential, needed kind, minerals for ex., over long distances.

OBOR – one belt, one road – is built on the premise of ‘free trade.’ Which can funtion and move forward as long as ‘wars’ are minimalised and not disruptive, only erupting sometimes in very local skirmishes, folklore even.

    Greetings,

Humans come with a built-in safety device: death.

The only thing that matters is to avoid prolonged pain before dying – it will be wise to be around someone who can kill you fast in such a case (it will also be advisable to man up yourself to the task if this happens to the one(s) you lay your trust with.)

You can only see what you are able to see.

    Life’s just
    an educated guess,
    nothing more,
    nothing less.
