A requiem for free will (part three)

The whole human mental frame is build around two single premises:
    1) How to delay personal demise; and
    2) how to postpone human extinction.

For the most part, we can’t stray away from this trodden path; the few who do fall under a single moniker: the insane.

Human mind was designed to handle gradual change fairly well; it was never meant to deal with abrupt change.
Yet, abrupt change (e.g., earthquakes, stellar flares, death) is part and parcel of the universe.
We are going through abrupt change times; those who’ve truly enjoyed ridding roller-coasters won’t have it as badly as those who’ve hated it.

There’s no way to resist the allure of progress.
There’s no way of stopping catabolism.
Low functioning minds bring forth a minimal maintenance mode world.
James Howard Kunstler is (partially) right: we live in a world that was made by hand, using manual tools; it will become undone by hand, using power tools.
Manual tools will eventually return, possibly handled by another species’ hands, working to develop power tools.

I expect Americans will happily eat GMO beef, though I wouldn’t have said so ten years ago. I hope this will boost demand for small producers who will shun the CRISPR critters. I expect the USDA to demand that nonGMO meat cannot advertise itself as such.

“As gasoline prices rise to record levels, the International Energy Agency is calling for energy lockdowns, such as banning the use of private cars in cities on Sundays. Other measures proposed in the agency’s “A 10-Point Plan to Cut Oil Use” include reducing speed limits, working from home, cutting business air travel and imposing an SUV “tax,” reports Climate Depot, the website run by former Capitol Hill staffer Marc Morano. “Governments have all the necessary tools at their disposal to put oil demand into decline in the coming years, which would support efforts to both strengthen energy security and achieve vital climate goals,” the report states.”

How about cutting off the global MIC?

Imagine if Hitler had the “red button” in the Berlin bunker towards the end…

Then remember what sort of “human” has control of U$ Empire’s “red button” right now 😐

If polled, as the curtains close on Brandon, how many would tell him to push it?

For some reason I had these sobering thoughts today, in between all the RUSSIA! RUSSIA! RUSSIA! mania + send money Now! to save Ukraine ads, everywhere…

2022 is turning into an unmitigated disaster of horrific proportions, of course the reckoning has been coming for decades, hope & pray we all “mostly” still exist on the other side.

34 people on six continents really! Overwhelming numbers. I wonder how many were actual farmers?

Farmers elsewhere are making similar moves. Reuters spoke with 34 people on six continents, including grain producers, agriculture analysts, traders and farm groups. All expressed concern about the cost and availability of fertilizer.

Recovery? Where’s this recovery? Nothing is moving globally yet there is a recovery? I still say the pandemic was used to cull fuel consumption, however we were already well past peak. So it’s Russia’s fault I’m sure even though they are honouring the contracts in place.

“Similar distillate shortages have emerged in Europe and Asia as the rapid recovery in consumption after the pandemic has outrun increased output of crude oil and refinery production of diesel.”

    https://www.reuters.com/markets/commodities/global-diesel-shortage-pushes-oil-prices-higher-2022-03-24/

…and then there’s this little nugget: “Hardy said the shift to more diesel consumption over gasoline in Europe had helped to create shortages of the fuel. He added that refineries could boost their diesel output in response to higher prices at the expense of other oil-derived products to shore up supply, but warned that rationing was a possibility.
Meanwhile, Torbjorn Tornqvist, co-founder and chair of Geneva-headquartered Gunvor Group said that “Europe is short of diesel” but added that “Diesel is not just a European problem; this is a global problem. It really is.”

“Europe desperately needs war for 8.6 years of NEGATIVE interest rates has wiped out pension funds. NY banks will no longer lend against European sovereign debt. They cannot fund the governments any longer and the central bank cannot buy their debt endlessly. The only solution that they see is to default under the pretense of the Great Reset so they NEED war” –Armostrong.

Well that’s ominous. I thought Europe was the one keeping us out of war.

Meaning like when London promised to “hold” all the Libyan gold, they are going to ‘steal” all the “holdings”. Because they’re desperate, discredited, and dead-broke.

Again, they are stealing Russian money to fight the Russian war, and begging hard for donations and bake sales to save themselves. Does that look like strength?

(Note: I have a bad feeling about it this week.)

“Biden is making a colossal mistake in thinking he can bleed Russia dry, topple Putin and signal to China to keep its hands off Taiwan…” Niall Ferguson of all people, Bloomberg. He does however add the requisite denial of any and all Azovs and any and all Nazis. The NY TImes reporting on this many times is just because the NY Times is a right-wing conspiracy theory.

“a Kinzhal air-launched missile which was used to take out an underground munitions depot at Deliatyn”

I post this not to make fun but because this is really happening. Westerners are arriving to fight the Good War™, he PR Twitter war in Ukraine, then because they aren’t serious people, because they are infants, they are posting their locations on social media and getting everyone in the battalion killed. Relax. It’s a video game, dude. Just hit AAB and get another life.

To me, these are the BEST people. Unlike every other whining, crying mouth-off, they DID something, they ACTED on what they believed in. Which is more than a single one of our leaders can do. That we lost a fantasy cartoon fighter and upped our % of serious people at home, while they got everyone killed in Ukraine but not here in America is also good of course. But if people believe something, I want them to ACT. I don’t see that because they’re universal liars, supporters of “The next thing”, and words have no meaning to them. They are therefore, not men, and to me, not Americans. It’s harsh, but there are levels and requirements to being a human adult, and a viable citizen. It’s okay if you’re not, but you’re not allowed at the big table either.

Def. Sec. Wallace is one of these non-adult toddler people. Like the Social Media posters, he has no OpSec and gets everyone killed because he can’t be arsed to check calls and sources and believes everything he’s told.

“Kiev Post” is CIA and NATO, the UK “Independent” is Saudi Arabia. Very “independent” indeed.

“Zelensky has already given in to all of Russia’s demands. The invasion could have been prevented.”

Perhaps, but Ze and Ukr are “not agreement capable.” They agreed to Minsk and ignored every line and kept shelling and ethnic cleansing their own citizens. How are you going to make them when the whole Ukr government is an illegitimate western coup?

“NATO is not prepared to accept Ukraine.”

We just saw yesterday, they would side-agreement Ukr in as de Facto NATO. They’re open, world-wide publishers of this plan. And then what? Russia is in the same position but worse. You have to internalize that EVERYTHING IS A LIE. They are INCAPABLE of treaties, words, actions, only POWER. Why read what they write? They write it only to lie, that is the PURPOSE of expression and human existence to them.

“Can Venezuela Negotiate an End to US Deadly Sanctions?”

“Deadly.” So we’re murdering Venezuelans. And have been for years. And this write openly admits it. And that’s an Act of War. Oil is NOT fungible, and we must have heavy oil for diesel and to mix with the over-light gas-oil now in Texas. Are we going to give them their gold and gas stations back?

The U.S. is f’d because they think windmills are oil. Solar is oil. Gas is oil. Gas is propane. Diesel is gas. And all run through the same pipelines that take up no land corridors and are run by magic elves who live in a money tree.

I’d say nothing can make these toddlers serious and real people, but apparently something can: all the Russian Nuclear football holders are missing. Shockingly, that mattered to the media and Reddit, so perhaps (although still tactical idiots on this specific question) still retain the brains enough to be afraid of horrible, sudden, total death. That’s a start. One nuclear bomb could essentially wipe out all NY, Long Island, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Maybe they can put away social media and for the first 10 seconds of their PlaySkool lives, think “this is not a game.”

I expect it was not on purpose, but I hope this is WHY Russia has those military leaders out of view: to scare the Hell out of Americans enough to think for two seconds, two coherent, consecutive thoughts in a row.

“Banning the use of private cars in cities on Sundays. Other measures proposed in the agency’s “… reducing speed limits, working from home, cutting business air travel and imposing an SUV “tax,”

They of course will do none of these things, just as they didn’t with masks and curfews, and fly in on a jet to drive around in their SUVs breaking the speed limit looking for violators. Same as now.

“French Lawyer Arrested for Treason after Helping Reiner Fuellmich (DE)”

The only treason is truth. Its the one thing that can bring the system down. …And replace it with a non-corrupt France and America.

“In late March 2020 NZ had 5 cases in a single day and went into complete isolated lockdown.
In late March 2022 NZ has 20,000 cases in a single day (yesterday) and drops almost all restrictions.”

Everyone has it. Nothing was stopped. Business and Rights erased. Mission Accomplished.

““Do you interpret Justice Ginsburg’s meaning of men and women as male and female?”

Nobody knows what any of these words mean because they don’t believe any of it; they are not serious zealots, they’re just casual liars.

“What has the FBI been doing?” Tampering with evidence and looking at pull ropes. They did finally start asking around about the D.C. bomber tho.

Albright: what do we have to say about it? “We’re jealous.”

PS “use WMD” that Saddam didn’t have.

“How will they do in the occasional blizzards?”

Yes, I was thinking they need MORE hair, not less. Unlike lab meat, they are trying to get people to accept the idea before they do more edited and murder them all.

“2022 is turning into an unmitigated disaster”

    “No city driving on Sundays…”
That is the problem with top-down edicts and plans — they do not take into consideration the facts for individuals.

Myself, I mostly work from home and drive very little. The only day I do a significant amount of driving is…Sunday, once a month, meeting for family dinner with my parents and sister and her family.

So…my mindfulness of using less in general would be ignored, and this one travel suppressed?
What about the folks that work on Sundays? What about the businesses open on Sundays? What about all of the church services!!!??

Biden will spend $1 Billion on humanitarian aid for Ukrainians means ….

Buy all the inventory that USA has and ship it to EU to take care of Ukrainian refugees
Therefore, USA consumers will also need to do without.
USA consumers will also need to share with 100,000 new Ukrainians immigrants
Biden is explaining that the “US Deadly Sanctions” are going to destroy the Russian economic structures and drive the Russian people back into the dark age so that the US can go and take their resources.
Meanwhile Ukraine want 1,000 missiles per day, for free, to kill the Russians for the USA

On Vocation, Connection, and the whispering of the Inner Voice of Conscience

“The antidote to this abuse of formal government, is, the influence of private character, the growth of the Individual.” Ralph Waldo Emerson, The Essential Writings of Ralph Waldo Emerson

Developing private character and growth of the Individual requires mindful (personal) COMMITMENT and CONNECTION to daily living. Vocation/work is a Way to develop character as you uncover/discover the truth of who and what you are/are not.

Vocation/Work is LOVE made visible, brought into tangibility through the experience known as living on PURPOSE.

From the Academy of Ideas (hat tip Gary):

Growth of the Individual is attained through the possession of a vocation. A vocation, as Jung explains, is the crucial “factor that destines a man to emancipate himself from the herd and from its well-worn paths.” (Carl Jung, Development of Personality) To be in possession of a vocation means to turn within and listen to the call of conscience in order to discover our purpose, or life’s mission. For as Jung explains our conscience is the inner voice that provides us with “a special form of “knowledge” . . . or certainty about, the emotional value of the ideas we have concerning the motives of our actions.” (Carl Jung, Civilization in Transition) The call of conscience might direct us in the pursuit of a bold goal, the furtherance of a cause, or the defense of cherished values, and as Viktor Frankl writes:

“. . .only to the extent to which a man commits himself to the fulfilment of his life’s meaning [i.e., his vocation], to this extent he also actualizes himself. In other words, self-actualization cannot be attained if it is made an end in itself, but only as a side effect of the self-transcendence [that is guided by a vocation].” (Viktor Frankl). From Viktor Frankl, Man’s Search for Meaning.

To turn within and listen to the call of the Inner Voice of conscience is the “practice” of our times. You are being called to listen. Everything you need is here.

P.S. Own a copy of Man’s Search For Meaning. Read it now and keep it for the challenges ahead. Everything you need to know is written there.

    LOVE to All.

You’re going to see when you’re there, you’re going to see women, young people standing in the middle, in the front of a damn tank saying ‘I’m not leaving,'” he said while standing in the center of US troops in Poland.

The remarks came during his visit to a base in Jasionka (Rzeszów County) in Poland, in the country’s southeast, which is a mere 60 miles from the Ukraine border. The 82nd Airborne Division was earlier deployed along NATO’s eastern edge as a ‘deterrent’ of sorts in protection of NATO territory.”

Today’s good news! We are one day closer to using up the last Ukrainian!

It is hilarious listening to everyday Russian soldiers talking on their radios. A Russian commander demands that tank crews get in their tanks and move forward! The tank crews reply we outta f’king gas! If you don’t get us some f’king gas we might as well f’king go home! Commander, mad, says then f’king go home! Then the general over hears the commander, and says get in your tanks and get moving! That’s an order! A chastened tank crew replies but we don’t have any gas! The general explodes and says then buy some dam gas at a local gas station! Or beg, borrow, or steal some gas! The stresses of war!

Yes, the world is going to hell in a hand basket. Situation completely normal! I am more concerned about the path Little Red Riding Hood is taking our hand basket in. She is afterall vaccine injuried and the hand basket might be heavy. I milled my first two pieces of dimensional lumber from black spruce trees cut not far from the cottage.

4 inches by 4 inches by 8 feet

I had to do bit of research to figure out how to setup to make the cuts and learn the cuts should be parallel with the centre of the tree.

It is a fairly time consuming process, uses a fair amount of fuel/oil and requires saw sharpening/cleaning.

This is my first time so I expect to get better. It will take much time and effort to mill the lumber I need. Not easy.

I have a 26 inch manual ripping saw that I will use next time to see what that would be like.

The petrodollar will remain between the United States and its allies. But alongside it, there will be the Saudi-yuan and India-yuan arrangements for trade in oil, minerals, industrial products and probably international investment. Trade in these products will be able to occur in a number of currencies, probably on a number of exchanges. It is not clear whether some formal or informal arbitrage may develop between these areas. That is part of what is to be designed. To oversee and regulate the resulting financial and trade arrangements, an alternative to the IMF is needed. The U.S. will not join any organization in which it does not have veto power, so we will see a division of the world into different trading and monetary areas. The result is not so much a conflict as two quite different operating philosophies as the non-U.S. world develops its alternative to financialized neoliberalism.
