On the Two-State solution for Israel.

I fear that the the material atheist faction of the Artificial Intelligence club has painted themselves into a deadly corner, where they and their postulated “demon spawn” called AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) will die in a botched Caesarian section.
Here’s their problem. AI at its current level of development, is WAY far from being abled to run even the simplest of human replacement functions, and still requires massive and constant human oversight in such areas as creativity, wise judgement, and self-activated agency. In other words, they can’t do it (or even come close to it) with the machines, data inputs, and electrical power consumption currently extant. They can’t even fake it very well (even the best fakes, are still 90% human conceived, generated, built and theatrically displayed so as to fool people into thinking that AI is further along than it really is.)
To reach the truly CAPABLE level that they tout as being “better than human” performance at virtually everything that humans do, will require (DOES REQUIRE) exponentially MORE of everything that they currently have at their disposal. In other words, a THOUSAND times faster computing, a THOUSAND times more data flowing in (and being stored for retrieval !), and a THOUSAND TIMES MORE ELECRICITY to power it.
Well, not to be a spoil-sport or anything, but NONE of those are possible to be done. Not with today’s physics anyway. They are damn lucky to be even be able to barely maintain what they’re already built and still manage to crawl forward in baby steps at a snails pace by robbing resources from other vital activities like food production and rational thinking by actual humans. You can get yourself SHOT for attempting to do THAT, brother, because in today’s world rational thinking stands in the way of them speeding up the process of AI assisted suicide for the entire effing species.
What’s got them really sweating bullets, though, is that they are already fully committed (no turning back now!) to continue trying to do just that. They are trying to do it with every fiber of their malfunction brains, even though it is ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN that the project is doomed to CATASTROPHIC failure, for all of the reasons stated above and a whole bunch more even better reason not yet mentioned.
Look around (or talk to an AI chatbot for awhile, to verify that the AI systems currently used to run all of the big stuff in the world, is damned near USELESS. In fact it’s WORSE than useless because the way it is running things now is visibly and demonstrably FAILING faster than the United States of America (and for many of the same reasons.)They are not going to get more data. They are not going to get more (and exponentially faster) computing machines or storage space. They are not going to GET ten times more electrcity than the world can produce.
They’re already so far up our poop-chutes looking for more data that the peasants are about to revolt. How could they get a THOUSAND times more than that? They’re already consuming 20% of the entire electricity generating capacity of the entire developed world. How ya gonna even MAINTAIN that, much less DOUBLE it ten times per year for the next 10 years?So, what happens if they quit their low down ways, abandon the AI boondoggle, and get honest and straight? Well, I’m pretty sure that the result of THAT kind of drastic action, if done suddenly (such as by war, financial collapse or accident) would kill off half the population and turn this sandbox into a funeral pyre for mankind.
There IS a way out of the mess, and it doesn’t even require abandonment of smart phones and the Scientific Method.
What it requires is accepting the field of NONMATERIAL INTELLIGENCE as being not merely legitimate and bona fide, but as ABSOLUTELY VITAL to our survival and beneficial development as human beings (complete with an immortal awareness, a Divine Creator who made us, and everything.)
There’s not much intrinsically wrong with the Science. Serious problems only arise when its practioners get caught up in a Mass Formed Psychosis which demands that they DENY the only thing that just happens to be the ONLY thing that’s absolutely true. Science goes a bit haywire after that, and comes up with all sorts of FATALLY flawed notions like the idea of a MACHINE that can make itself conscious. How insanely wrong is it possible to get? Stand by, we should find out pretty soon. Elon says that the AI will be able to answer that right after YOU give him the resources to build it (whether you want to or not.)

Technically, Karl Marx did not say that in socialism the government was to own the means of production, he said that the workers were to own the means of production. He also didn’t advocate for government control, in general, he said that for the revolution that he predicted that government would play a role. It was the Communist Party that decided to interpret “the workers” as “the government” or, more specifically, “the Communist Party” which usurped the role as the workers’ “trustee.” We all know how well *that* has worked out. (Hannah Arendt documented it well, calling it out as “totalitarian.”)
Sole proprietorships give one owner control over the business, and can work well. In a partnership, two or more owners run a business, and this can work well. Employees come on board, and now we have a two-tiered system under the sole proprietor or partnership, where one tier is isolated away from control over the business. An argument can be made that, initially, current business owners do not know whether or not a new employee will stay long or will be a good fit, and justifiably do not want to share power with a stranger. And, in some businesses, tiered models may be appropriate and simply work best. However, people like having control over their lives and often take greater pride when they own or share in ownership of something. At a certain point one has to ask: is the business structured so that ownership and control is in the hands of relatively few, rather than many because that is, ultimately, the best way to run that business? Or is it the best way for a small number to extract as much profit as possible from the business and into their own hands? This starts driving down to how do we empower individuals who are cooperating together so that they have freedom but still enjoy benefits of cooperation. Also, can we structure organizations (countries, cities, businesses, etc.,) in ways that promote individual autonomy and liberty while maintaining cohesive, strong organizations?
These are the questions that I look at when I examine the writings of Karl Marx. They are cogent questions and still relate to today, even though Marx was wrong about there being an impending proletariat revolution as he described.
Looks like a pretty good arc so far (bumpy in a few places, sure, but solid upward trend.) Hang in there. That’s what I’m doing.
