Kudos Ilargi; that was a hell of a read and spot on.
The U.S. is doing its damnedest to drive S.E. Asia into the arms of neo-liberal economic policies and there does seem to be push-back.
Thailand, Vietnam, and Myinmar appear to be pivoting towards China and Russia; especially Thailand. The U.S. envoy here has greatly pissed off the Thais with his constant droning on about returning to democracy. This is especially ironic because democracy doesn’t really fit here and only ever had the appearance of democracy in the first place.

With what I believe were false flag attacks on the U.S. Destroyer off Yemen; the U.S. fully realizes growth is over and has now turned to war as a desperate means to drive its own economy, trying to counter its own demise as the sole super power. Waring againt 7 nations will use one hell of a lot of ammunition; all needing to be replaced, mostly from U.S. factories.
We’ve once again entered a multi polar world, much to the consternation of the U.S..

    Arnold,

Spot on. An obvious false flag – just like the Gulf of Tonkin.

The timing is revealing – only a few days after the Yemenis (the media pretends that all Yemenis are Houthis) severely damaged a fast craft belonging to the UAE that was smuggling in weapons and mercenaries from Djibouti – where the USN has a base. This craft was sold by the USN to the UAE not so very long ago.

    Globalization …

    “would make everyone better off”

    Growth is over.

    The truth ….
“The result was that large sections of the population were left to moulder in stagnation or poverty, some without any prospect of finding a productive place in society.”

We are into the phase of “Zero Sum”
Some of us will be lucky and find ourselves in a “Green Zone”
