The usual excellence of light and detail; but, I noticed that the rapt students were not young men (20’s); and of course no women to be seen…

Rembrandt van Rijn The Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaes Tulp 1632

Well, there’s a coincidence! I just saw the original of that very painting a couple of weeks ago during my first ever visit (I know, right) to the Mauritshuis (Maurit’s House) museum in The Hague. My wife took a photo of it as she thought it would make a good cover for our daughter’s master thesis on arthritis of the hand. She’s doing her masters in Leiden, the home town of Rembrandt.

    From yesterday:

You are all cheerleaders for a narrative that you can’t let go of. You cherish your narrative. And you contort reality to fit it into your BS. It is tiresome. And fucking ridiculous.

IOW, you didn’t even bother to read the thread. Here’s the whole thing in one place for you:

    So, Putin flinched first.

I hope Putin realizes that without following through, ie cutting off the silly, lying, non-serious EU, he’s just given them reason to doubt his resolve & grant the EU time to build alliances, increasing NATO’s chances of winning “hearts & minds” concerning boots-on-the-ground + a no-fly zone in Ukraine. And beyond…

Specifically, without making the West pay for their hubris regarding sanctions, the West will become emboldened to believe they’ve got Putin on the ropes, that the Ruble/Gold demand for payment was just a bluff.

Only a fool negotiates with psychopaths, terrorists & small children.

“No women to be seen”: I would think not. Everyone in that painting is taking their life in their hands hanging around a rotting, open corpse.

From yesterday’s hypothesis, yes, those things such as cloistered diseases are possible. If actual, and I’ve noted the nonsensical, uneconomical media/industry push for 5G that ties in CV strongly – then they are quite beyond what I would expect and would have to change my yardstick. I’m thinking of the – I forget now – Group “A”, 1-in-20 batches that were 100x more deadly. Okay, IF batches are not all the same, how many? Are there 100 completely different, equally deadly? Was Group A only the immediates, and same fatality, just faster? I have considered it. Since it’s “Experimental” and they don’t need to write anything on the vial or inform, why NOT run 100x different Mad Scientist Dr. Mengele tests?

Yes HIV/AIDS (we may have a non-HIV type of Acquired Immune Disorder) diminishes the immune system. But so do a lot of things. I think I’m pointing out it’s not exact, but more importantly, its a very wide gradient between “working” and “not working”. Very, very wide.

They can claim us as genetic species and charge us rent? Hahahahaha! Molon Labe: Come and claim it if you dare. Ain’t nobody gonna lie down for that. To be chattel slave property to some rich geezer who just tried to kill you only last month? I’ve got a better idea: please come down and try it!

Covid update: Epidemic over, no one in hospital with “Covid”, and hospitals are so overwhelmed they’ve cut staff in half in cruel, creative ways. Nurse patient ratios were nosebleed redline in 2019, now twice that into “Criminally fatal” and “Reckless disregard for human life.” Admins are all still there, paid, in pajamas, lawns mowed on campus, new expensive toys being bought, expensive, glamorous “Nurses R the Bestest” ads being placed. If you want to live, live careful, drive slow, stay out of them. There is a nationwide nursing strike going on, like the trucker strike, but no one’s talking. With a I dunno, +7:1 patient ratio, a nurse has a good chance of someone unnecessarily dying every shift, on their license. So investigation, jail time for crippling yourself with hard work and getting beat up, spit on for 12 overnight hours. You can’t be in the chair when everyone dies, so they are all leaving. Because: Otherwise people will die??? I mean this isn’t rocket science. X patients means Y nurses, providers, housekeeping, etc. I don’t care if you fire every admin, make all of them into janitors, you have to have care:patient ratios or it’s not a hospital, it’s a crime scene.

Surely you overreact Herr Docktor, as usual. “Tech is going to da moon!!!” “Subprime is contained” “RussiaRussiaRussia”. No. As usual, I am under-reacting. This week’s story is the criminal trial of nurse RaDonda Vaught of Vanderbilt Hospital. The hospital thought it was a good idea to have critical nurse:patient shortages, no nurses on staff at all in the MRI room, and an IT system so broken so badly for so long you had to override every medication by hand. This nurse then got a prescription, overrode the system and killed a patient with an unfamiliar drug. And immediately reported it as required by nurses. Vanderbilt hid the evidence, covered up the “crime”, fabricated the death certificate, and paid off (half) the family. When it came to light, Vanderbilt had the Vanderbilt-alumni local D.A. charge the nurse with murder. Of which she is now convicted. For a misprescription, caused by the Vanderbilt profit systems. None of the cover-ups, the fake Death Cert, have been, or ever will be prosecuted.

Needless to say, on the conviction of a nurse to save Vanderbilt from mildly-embarrassing, slightly-expensive but common lawsuit, the Vanderbilt nurses walked out. Because: do your job, go to jail. But it’s not Vanderbilt. ALL hospitals act this way, and if the U.S. legal system supports this, no nurse in the country is safe. So net-net they are all walking out, going elsewhere. In a crippling nurse shortage that’s already causing 7:1, 20:1 nurse patient ratios with travel nurses making $100+/hr. Since ICUs are full, that’s 7:1 with ICU patients sent down to the standard care floors. Ding! I know you should be ICU but congratulations, Admin says you’re not sick anymore! ICU beds aren’t a profit center, haven’t you heard? Good luck surviving the next few days! Or rather, the nurse will focus on the ICU patient only. Good luck being a normal Joe on that floor who accidentally dies because something was missed while she was busy trying to be a triage ICU nurse with no training and special equipment.

Note: the nurses EXIST. That’s a medical degree and the nurses with licenses are listed in the book. We know how many there are in the country. They just won’t submit to being employed under these conditions and would rather do anything else. Because: death? Jail? For the privilege of being the most overworked, most assaulted occupation in America? And this can end in a day. Staff properly and they’ll come back and save YOUR life. If you don’t, they won’t, and you will die next time you have a medical event. I bring this up, but providers are also (much less) overworked, they have no floor secretaries, transporters, “Techs”, housekeeping, and other “untrained” support staff either. All those extra, non-medical-degree people are easy to get: pay them enough. They appear. Easy. That’s called “Capitalism”, the one thing we don’t have.

Not news. Only reported in that corner of the world. Too busy with the Oscars. I hope everyone goes long coffins! BuyBuyBuy!

Bonus question: what do you call a “Hospital” with no staff manning it? Deathcare? A sort of leper colony where people only go to die? There are no words.

“Highly Pathogenic Avian Flu Detected in Five More US States”

Suspect this also has a fake test as well. Or the disease is nowhere near as dangerous as advertised.

“California Reparations Panel Struggles to Decide which Black Americans Should Receive Handouts”

Thanks to “America” and “Lack of racism” many of the “Black” people I know are half black. Does that mean they should pay themselves? Some of the others are Italians, landing far past the 1890’s. Should they get the bill? Their parents’ generation were also top experiencers of American racism. The last one was from Jamaica in the 80’s like Harris was. They got every opportunity and landed after civil rights. Do they pay or do they owe? Here’s a pancake on your head: your argument makes no sense. This is why racism doesn’t work: the deep abiding racism inherent in the reparations bill.

We have a legal system for this: if a specific person does a specific, provable wrong, they can be sued and make whole the damages they caused. That’s what that subset of “Law” is. But we don’t have specific crimes, harmed people, harming people, measured damages, or anything else. We just sorta make some s–t up from our feelz and make somebody else pay.

“March Payrolls Preview: Can Wage Growth Slow Enough to Dent the Fed’s 50bps Rate Hike”

Great headline. Shows the deep internalization that when inflating the Fed hates only one thing: rising wages. Working people getting ahead is the only enemy. Rising standards of living are to be stopped.

Ruble completely recovered. Vatican has bought it, presumably to buy gas and not sit in the dark.

“Ukraine: Transfer of Power Balance from West to East (Leckie)”

It’s over; Russia won, but I see rumor Putin retreated to a nuclear bunker before telling Euro-toddlers they can’t have free gas without paying for it. Figures they would nuke him in a tantrum. They look gob-smacked and don’t understand why they can’t take things without paying for them. In true communist fashion: I have not gas, and you do, so share. I did no work but you did, so gimme.

“The ruble keeps rising – and is now back to roughly the same level before Operation Z.”

Yes but we in the West outlawed the letter “Z” so we’re really “winning.” Ha ha ha! I swear to God it’s like dealing with a 2-year-old. “Fools, Terrorists and Small Children” They are all three. Now you see why empires rotate: civilization depends on cooperation, which is a subset of “keeping your word”(Contract law). When you’re “Not agreement capable”, you have no cooperation, no civilization, no economy, and therefore no “Empire.” It’s really simple: cheaters never win. Because no one will deal with them, you can’t deal with them, and if you have to rebel and put them in a ditch to sign a scroll because they think “The Law is in My Mouth” then you have no choice but to risk death by hanging and do it.

And why? Is “Not Lying” and “Keeping your word” really that hard? Jesus Christ on a pogo stick these guys are dum.

German Chemical Giant Warns of “Total Collapse” If Russian Gas Supply Cut (ZH)”

This is not hyperbole. In chemical plants you often have processes that cannot be interrupted. Even a disruption could cause costs that blow the quarter’s or the year’s profits to restart. I don’t know exactly of what he speaks, but it’s possible. No quarter profits, plant down = no payroll. AND product shortages.

31 Years after End of Warsaw Pact, NATO Continues as Regional Disrupter (GT)”

As everyone says, “Who is NATO supposed to be fighting?” There’s only one country: Russia. Russia is the size of Italy and doesn’t have enough men to occupy anyone, therefore NATO can only be the aggressor, not the defender. Which we know from their 30 years of actions. Worse, it’s the aggressor of the U.S. attacking Europe. Germany specifically. They don’t want that, Americans don’t want that. So why’s it happening?

“What use is denying [Hunter] at this point?”

Half the nation believes them. And that RussiaRussiaRussia was in the voting machines and changed the tallies, although Obama and Mueller both said they didn’t. Why NOT say it, if people are that credible and dumb?

Anyway, going back months now, where not a single person can do their job and arrest the multi-hundred-thousand felonies, they don’t want the U.S. to collapse because the White Hats enforced the law. The collapse has to come first, the arrests after, and we now what that collapse is. The collapse of money laundering, therefore bribes, and the crack of the US Dollar system. That has to be Biden’s/DNC’s fault.

I wouldn’t do it this way, but I understand it.

I suspect the White Hats are aware, they know what needs to happen, and are actually allied and feeding info to Russia and China that permit these actions. That is off-color because from one point of view it is treason. From the other point of view the White Hats are the real legitimate government and have both legal authority, as well as recognizing they can right the world and make it not-corrupt and functional again in a realpolitik kind of way. Deal is: WH runs the U.S. Military. They promise not to respond if Russia cleans Ukr and cracks the Dollar/banking system we cannot. Flip side, with assurances, we sell Taiwan to China and they merge, but China continues to become less authoritarian instead of more. All that is hidden, however, as the East prefers to do.

U.S. banking and Empire end, which is the goal of everyone worldwide. Nuclear war averted, honest commerce begins again. Profits stop being stolen, lack bribes, courts and rule of law begin to function again. Or that would be the plan.

    @ VP:

    I don’t think Putin blinked.

Good article explaining the latest comments from Putin at naked capitalism (opening paragraphs from article below):

    ************

Perhaps an allergy to finance, particularly among political leaders and media employees explains the widespread lack of comprehension of what the Russian “unfriendlies pay for gas in roubles” would amount to. Recall that in his original statement, Putin set forth boundary conditions, most importantly that existing pricing mechanisms would stay in place.
I have to keep recycling this clip because the Russian leader made clear from the get-go that the contract terms and economics would stay in place. What was being added was the requirement that the payment be tendered in roubles: [video]

Folks, this is not hard unless you want to make it hard. It’s a mystery why the press went into MEGO (My Eyes Glaze Over) mode. If your going to leave the contract otherwise in place, all that Putin was appending was a requirement to exchange the euro/dollar/sterling amount due into roubles at the time of payment. Theoretically, Putin could have insisted on an above-market exchange rate, but that would conflict with his stipulation that price terms remain unchanged, since that would de facto change euro/dollar/sterling pricing for a new higher price stated in roubles.

We listed a whole set of advantages in our post yesterday that Russia would nevertheless get from a minor-seeming, technical change. The main one was to require gas buyers to tender payments to Russian banks, since only Russian banks could get their hands on enough roubles to execute the foreign exchange transaction (more on an important fine point soon). There aren’t a lot of roubles trading outside Russia. That would prevent the West from sanctioning more Russian banks, something they seemed intent on doing at last week’s series of European summits. It would also mean the foreign currency payments would be in the hands of Russian institutions, and hence not vulnerable to being “frozen,” aka expropriated.

The fact that the West seems willing to go along, and is now incorrectly depicting the Russian detailed explanation as a climbdown, makes it awfully hard for them to object when Russia, as it floated on Wednesday, extends this procedure to other commodities, like oil, lumber, wheat, metals, and fertilizer. That means in having payments from “unfriendly countries” on contracts denominated in their currencies be made to an account at an unsanctioned Russian bank with the customer also effectively ordering the currency exchange to roubles. I guess the next thing to do is to conscript Nurses and staff and tell them it’s illegal for them to quit.

Oh wait: they already have! In Wisconsin. Because hospital want no-contract yet won’t pay market rates.

Socialism at work: you HAVE the training I didn’t bother to get. I NEED that training. Therefore, you have to give it to me. OR ELSE. Or else I’ll have the state TAKE it and kill you. That’s love! Caring. Tolerance. WHO takes it? It’s a big club and you ain’t in it: You’ll get nothing and like it.

Why Did Hunter Biden Have DOD Encryption Keys On His Laptop?

    https://andmagazine.substack.com/p/why-did-hunter-biden-have-dod-encryption?s=r

The ongoing analysis of the hard drive of Hunter Biden’s laptop has revealed that there are multiple Department of Defense “encryption keys” on it. These keys allow access to DOD email accounts and databases. The exact number of these keys is still unknown. There may be dozens.

The keys are known more formally as “root encryption certificates.” Some of them appear to have unusually long expiration dates with many lasting twenty years or more. Such keys should not be present on a personal laptop of any kind, and there is no known reason that Hunter Biden would be in possession of them at all.

Many of the commenters here have mentioned the deep state and I have only had some notion of secret services but this video that I have started to watch is providing clarity regarding what the deep state actually is and how government actually works.

Stole this from another site, makes sense to me and explains why they advocate mixing and matching jabs:

“It’s not a conspiracy theory, it’s a simple legal reality. Let’s say that it becomes common knowledge, and legally recognized, that the vaccines caused harm. Anyone who got one is now able to sue, no problems so far.

But, if you mixed, then you can’t do it nearly as easily: in order to win a case, you need to prove you were harmed by that product, meaning that if you took another vaccine, each manufacturer can point to it and say, “We don’t know if it was our vaccine that did it, it might have been the other one!”

Each manufacturer can argue it was the other vaccines which did it, and so the victims have to fight that much harder to win their case.”

https://drjohnsblog.substack.com/p/ending-financial-colonialism?s=w (a last picture before sheetrock goes in)

Please excuse the lapse between posts. Real life work on our living system has taken all of my time this week. Commute between Austin and Yoakum is 4 hrs/day.
I have been working on the interior of the homestead, finishing the cabinet-plywood walls, placing insulation in the girders between upstairs and downstairs, getting ready for the precise placement of the gas wall furnace, split-mini AC unit and stove hood-vents before the sheetrock goes in.
I have also been building the permanent staircase to replace the pull-down attic ladder. I am having to mow every week again, and do weeding and further spring planting in the gardens.
I’ve replaced some fruit trees and have some seedlings to replace some of the avocado trees that succumbed to the hard and sharp freeze in early March, when they were starting to perk up. Seedlings that have gone through a cold winter in their very early days seem to do better than grafted trees, though some grafted types tolerate cold better than others.
We will have a garden party the Saturday before Easter, April 16. Pot luck; whip something up and come-on-down…

The first few articles are all big picture pieces on the failing western financial capital neo-colonialist system. The west has lent money at interest to buy commodities from the world, where commodity producers must use the $US and can barely squeak by. All profits go to the banks and higher level manufacturers that use commodities to make things like iPhones and Teslas, which do make profits. The main beneficiaries are the banks/financiers, who make lots of profit for lending money that they create from air (and faith).
This system has been in place since WW-2, and has been sustained by the US military, CIA, $US and before 1971, American gold. America still exports food, but American farmers are still bankrupt and suiciding, like in the rest of the world. Financial colonialism does not spare any commodity producer.
The “Non-Aligned-Movement” sought to break countries free of financial colonialism, but leaders got assassinated and countries got regime-changed. The desire to free countries from foreign extraction of their wealth, using a despotic elite class, is what led to the American Revolution (basically against the British East India Company).
The $US as the only currency to buy oil made American financial institutions rich, and kept wealth flowing to the US government to finance military adventurism to keep the colonies (Hi Libya!) in line. With the US military now losing face globally, and Russia/China starting to look like better guarantors of “protection” there are desperate actions by the “petrobuck empire” to punish challengers. These desperate actions accelerate the demise of the petrobuck-empire.
My back-of-envelope estimate is that the $US needs to lose 75% of its value this decade to pay off huge financial debts while the economy declines, and dollars come back to the US for wheat, soybeans, oil, and maybe some jet planes.
This will be very hard on people living in the US. The top 5% will lose the most, because they have wealth to lose. Many cities and states will go bankrupt.

Dan sends this interview with Michael Hudson, Author of “Super Imperialism”, which I will excerpt a little of:
..It’s about neoliberalism. So when Richard talks about the tectonic shift? It’s really a shift between two systems. It’s between the United States pushing neoliberalism on the one hand, and countries following, let’s say, an industrial capitalism evolving into socialism, on the other hand. And all of this has already begun, just as President Putin has said, this war is not about the Ukraine.
It began a year ago when the United States started the war against Germany and Europe to haul it in. When President Biden insisted that Europe and especially Germany, has to block Nord Stream 2, what he said he has been saying for over a year now: that we want Europe to become dependent on American gas and oil and not on Russian oil, not only because we want the business of the exporting, but we want the ability to control the world oil trade...
..And it’s a 50-year perspective that goes back to the (1955) Bandung Conference in Indonesia. In 1974 when President Sukarno moved with India and much of the global South to create a nonaligned nations. The attempt going back way to 1974 was to realize that the United States was acting as an exploiter of third world countries, that it [U.S.] investment that did not aim at helping them grow, but just to siphon off what they could from their raw materials and to take over the government and make the financial sector the planning sector, not the government sector.
Well, the Bandung conference and the Third World were not able to go their own way because they didn’t have a critical mass. But the United States started a racist revolution in Indonesia. A million of Chinese were killed and the rivers ran red, I’m told, with ethnic cleansing. There was regime change the United States overthrow of Indonesia. It was the bloodiest internal conflict you could call it, or a fascist war, up to that time outside of Europe..
This has been the model ever since. And the United States continued to push the model. They thought they could do to Russia what they did to Sukarno, and they could do the same to China...
..President Biden has indeed got a regime change, but the regime change is in the United States itself. When Biden said last week, well, we’ve got to make America make a lot of great sacrifices to support the Nazis in Ukraine….
..That means that in the future, as America spends its money abroad, and from the 1956 and the seventies, the entire U.S. balance of payments deficit, the deficit that forced America off gold was military spending. That was produced all the charts in my book Super Imperialism.
And now this foreign exchange is going to be not recycled to the U.S. to support the dollar. It’s going to be spent on gold and on mutual currency swaps. Well, what that means is that the dollar no longer has the free ride, no longer has the free support…
..What the United States has realized in the last, I think, since World War Two is, you can control, where you don’t need to go to war with other countries.
You can control them financially as long as you’re willing to impose University of Chicago-style free market, meaning you have to kill everybody. Every academic professor who advocates an alternative, you have to treat the world like Chile. And what’s the free market realized in Chile. It is if you can kill every labor leader, every land reform or every intellectual, then you’ll have Margaret Thatcher’s dream. There is no alternative. And that’s the U.S. policy...
..So there’s an idea that you motivate people by hurting them instead of by offering an opportunity to develop. And the problem is that the United States strategists don’t know how to develop because they’re neoliberals. And the neoliberalism is all about grabbing unearned income, grabbing other people’s property, grabbing other people’s income without working…
..How are you going to support American living standards and voters? You can only get this by exploiting other countries by imperialism. And other countries are realizing, do we really want our economic surplus shifted off to the United States so that they can live well at our expense? …
..America is basically the blob, the State Department, the C.I.A., the national security state, and its ideology is to shift economic planning away from government to Wall Street and other financial centers in England and France. And I don’t see that financialization and neoliberalism changing. That’s their religion. And you’re going to have, instead of the reform that you’d like to see, you’re going to see an increasingly violent vicious fight against anyone proposing this reform, just as they fought against Allende in Chile and against against Cuba and as they’re fighting against China and Russia today...
..The United States? Again, there will be a polarization in the United States between the 1% and the 99%. The 99% what you call the economy, of course, will suffer and the 1% well, will increase their power over the 99%…
..I talked to officials in the U.S. Treasury. They say we can simply buy foreign politicians, we can simply pay them. When you say Europe, what you really mean are the foreign politicians that are getting enormous financial support from various U.S. State Department agencies and they’re after all opportunists…
..Now, that whole foreign dollarized, foreign trade policy, finance is going to disappear for American banks. They may make a lot of money on the arbitrage. Trade economies fall apart, but you’re also going to have a huge third world southern hemisphere debt crisis this summer.
If what we’ve described for American consumers is true of Latin America and Africa and other countries that have to pay more money for their oil, more money for their food, they’re not going to have enough money to pay for debt. So there are going to be huge debt defaults occurring, and that’s going to traumatize the world market...

Some reports say Putin backed down on his demand for rubles for energy. Those reports are essentially wrong...
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz agreed to Vladimir Putin’s clever way around the problem of rubles payments.
The EU will pay in euros and via a separate account at Gasprom, the euros are immediately converted to rubles...
In this case, Russia demands rubles and get them via immediate conversion from euros or in some cases US dollars, depending on the contract…
Russia gets paid and Gazprom is protected from sanctions.

    Maajid Nawaz:
President Biden confirmed to business leaders that we are at an inflection point, and there will be a New World Order. For some reason, he felt the need to couple this announcement with the number of people that he believes usually die when such historic turnings occur: 60 million.
It’s not rocket science. World Orders are built around the financial system. Historically, this would usually only change through war. By way of example, the end of World War II heralded the creation of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), agreed at Bretton Woods. This established the modern financial system by linking global currencies to the US dollar and – at least until 1971 – the US dollar to gold…
After 1971, and due to Nixon’s alterations, global currencies remained linked to the US dollar, but the US dollar was pegged to absolutely nothing. This is how – right up until now – the US Federal Reserve had a monopoly on global monetary policy...
..Central bankers are clamouring to fend off the advancement of decentralised currencies so as to maintain their global control, by creating their own centralised alternative: Central Banking Digital Currencies (CBDCs).
Due to greed, corruption and unaccountability leading to the cover up of global mass-embezzlement, our current financial system is in its death-throes.

Pepe Escobar, Mariupol may become a hub for Eurasian Belt And Road rail lines between Europe and Asia, as well as shipping to North Africa.
How Mariupol will become a key hub of Eurasian integration
Mariupol was battered by Ukraine’s right-wing Azov battalion well before Moscow launched its military ops. In Russian hands, this strategic steelworks port can transform into a hub of Eurasian connectivity...
Amidst a flurry of testimonials detailing the horrors inflicted by the Azov neo-Nazis on Mariupol’s civilian population, a way more auspicious, invisible story bodes well for the immediate future.
Russia is the world’s fifth largest steel producer, apart from holding huge iron and coal deposits. Mariupol – a steel Mecca – used to source coal from Donbass, but under de facto neo-Nazi rule since the 2014 Maidan events, was turned into an importer. Iron, for instance, started to be supplied from Krivbas in Ukraine, over 200 kilometers away.
After Donetsk solidifies itself as an independent republic or, via referendum, chooses to become part of the Russian Federation, this situation is bound to change.
Azovstal is invested in a broad product line of very useful stuff: structural steel, rail for railroads, hardened steel for chains, mining equipment, rolled steel used in factory apparatus, trucks and railroad cars.

    Highlight of the whole truth.
    1. The top 5% will lose the most, Many cities and states will go bankrupt. In a bankruptcy, the lenders lose the most. Before the cities and states go bankrupt, they will raise fees and taxes rather than cutting services and costs.

    2. Countries that have to pay more money for their oil, more money for their food, they’re not going to have enough money to pay for debt. So there are going to be huge debt defaults occurring,

    3. Money cannot buy what doesn’t exist.

Makes sense. It kind of reminds me of how historically the fishermen in Newfoundland could be so poor and have difficulty getting out of debt due to merchant setting the prices of the fish and the supplies and acting as the bank.

    Huh?

Yeah, on the surface it appears Putin didn’t flinch regarding trade with NATO countries that have unilaterally backed the 4th/5th gen war against Russia, either by omission or commission, but he did. Even before he set the now past deadline…

I have to keep recycling this clip because the Russian leader made clear from the get-go that the contract terms and economics would stay in place.

That was his first mistake. Why operate honorably when your “enemy” is not?

He had every legal right to cancel any & all “contracts” once Russian assets were seized & sanctions announced by NATO member countries (all for one & one for all!), not to mention the threats of regime change & assassination.

That would be akin to an abused wife continue to honor a marriage “contract” with a monster, as long as the abuser leaves her alone & pays for the children…

Sure, Gazprom will accept EU payment in euros and via a separate account at Gasprom, the euros are immediately converted to rubles..., but how will those Euros actually be converted “immediately” into Rubles?

It’s pretty obvious that at some point a NATO member bank would have to be involved (probably 3rd party), but wouldn’t that create a crisis in the near future?

Perhaps Putin is playing the long game with China, India, Iran et al. banks, helping convert Euro to Rubles, as part of the new, new Eurasian banking/economic block, but won’t those Euros eventually be treated like conflict “blood” diamonds?

And setting deadlines & all that, without actually being prepared to do whatever it takes, can have detrimental side-effects when dealing with masters of psyop in a time of war…

Perhaps Putin was being compassionate towards the EU’s plight, maybe he thinks he can win friends & influence enemies, but NATO is hardly rational & past behavior indicates The West views compassion as a weakness to be exploited.

    It’s already starting…

Putin talks tough on gas-for-rubles deadline. But flows continue to Europe

~ Russian President Vladimir Putin has sought to ratchet up the pressure on foreign buyers of natural gas, telling so-called unfriendly countries to pay in rubles from Friday — or else have their supplies cut off.

~ Instead of stoking panic in Berlin and Rome, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi believe the decree does not apply to them.

~ European countries’ dependence on Russian energy exports has been thrust into the spotlight since the Kremlin launched its invasion of Ukraine on Feb. 24, particularly as energy-importing countries continue to top up Putin’s war chest with oil and gas revenue on a daily basis.

Then again, maybe it’s all just one big joke on humanity, played surreptiously behind the scenes, by US>UK>EU & CHINA>RUSSIA>INDIA?

    Time will tell…

I would like to stress once again that in a situation where the financial system of Western countries is used as a weapon, when companies from these states refuse to fulfill contracts with Russian banks, enterprises, individuals, when assets in dollars and euros are frozen, it makes no sense to use the currencies of these countries.

What about sending energy for worthless, marked euros to “these countries”?

You know, the same group of psychos sending Intel/MIL advisors & armaments to the Ukkie Nazis…

Maybe he was just bluffing 😉

Actually, I think Putin got hoodwinked & should have acted back in 2014 before the parasites proliferated.

Then again, I believe leaving the American southern border wide open for any & all invaders is a foolish idea, what do I know? 🙄

From the video I posted in comment #105316. The second speaker was very good.

The objective of the establishment is the destruction of western culture and the Christian religion.

    The establishment
    – cares only about itself and remaining the establishment
    – cannot be kicked out
    – cannot adjust, learn or adapt
    – is at war with the whole heritage of the society and the beliefs of the majority of its citizens

    We have a legitimacy crisis.

People are transferring there loyalty away from the state to smaller groups

The establishment will not and can not change.

When the dollar collapses the establishment collapses.

We need to return to the Victorian age because it works.
