About those “safe and effective” vaccines:
I saw a chart in a comment over at off-guardian, and wanted to be sure so I downloaded the CDC VAERS data and made my own chart (attached or inserted, if I managed to figure out how). It does accurately represent the data. There seems to be a signal that is not consistent with the “safe and effective” narrative I hear pushed and embraced around where I live.

Former ambassador and whistleblower Craig Murray makes some strong arguments that Domestic Covid-19 Identity Documents Must Be Resisted.”

Discrimination against people on the grounds of their health status is not acceptable, while the ever increasing reach of the surveillance state is pernicious…

Now I have had my first shot of vaccine myself, and urge everyone to take their vaccine… But I utterly reject the notion of compulsory vaccination or of penalising those who do not wish to vaccinated by limiting their lives…

I am genuinely unsure why it causes so much anger to state that those people who are non-geriatric and healthy are only at very slight risk of death from covid-19, when it is an undeniable fact…

Both power-drunk politicians and Stockholm syndrome populaces need to embrace the idea of normal. It is a great deal more pleasant.

Thanks to Doc Robinson for responding to my question yesterday regarding long Covid.

The most interesting observation thus far from looking through the materials provided is how easy it is to transmute a cough still lingering after 3 weeks into scary-sounding long Covid. I can’t count the number of times over the years (especially during periods of high stress) that I had a bad cold/flu and then found myself with a lingering cough for weeks and weeks, often exacerbated by seasonal allergies. Enough people have long Covid that I do not doubt that it is real. And I have no doubt that studies are being presented in the MSM such a way to make it seem that the problem is much more prevalent than it is in actuality. And ivermectin will be hidden as a treatment for as long as possible.

Which makes me think about the culture that Covid wave in the UK, with so many folks AZ vaccine recipients sick….at what point will doctors turn to ivermectin, etc.? At what point will the knowledge that we have viable treatments spread? How many will be allowed to die so that pharma gets profits, political power continues to consolidate, and medical vaccine experiments occur on the fearful and naive?

Another recent headline in The Guardian warning about the scary Long Covid.

“Long Covid: many will need specialist therapies, says expert”

However, the “specialist therapies” mentioned in the article are related to “post-intensive care syndrome” which is not quite the same as Long Covid.

“The fact is for years patients very ill in intensive care on ventilators often get a prolonged recovery called post-intensive care syndrome… You might have someone in for two to three months and they are coming off a ventilator and are not ready to go home so they would go to a rehab ward … and be kept on ventilation at night but need long-term care but that happens in a small percentage who come to intensive care unit,” he said.

    From the Slog:

This shows that most deaths and admissions in a post-Roadmap resurgence are in people who have received two vaccine doses, even without vaccine protection waning or a variant emerging that escapes vaccines. This is not the result of vaccines being ineffective, merely uptake being so high.” You couldn’t make this up: even without left-field factors, there’ll be a resurgence after lockdown exit, but this is not Astrazeneca’s fault – the “problem” was high uptake. By vaccinating the vulnerable bigtime, we killed more people, but a drug struggling to demonstrate efficacy had nothing to do with it.

It occurs to me that what maybe started out as a bug in the way the vaccines work is being turned into a feature. Basically, once you get yourself vaccinated you then will require new updated shots every six months to a year (that’s what Netanyahoo said) just to stay alive because you will be

      much more vulnerable

than if you hadn’t had the vaccine in the first place. At that point, Big Pharma and the government have you by the short and curlies.

phoenixvoice: “…how easy it is to transmute a cough still lingering after 3 weeks into scary-sounding long Covid.”

In the past, I have had coughs and fatigue that linger on and on, for months. “Post-viral syndrome” was well known before Covid-19.

What to know about post-viral syndrome

Post-viral syndrome, or post-viral fatigue, refers to a sense of tiredness and weakness that lingers after a person has fought off a viral infection. It can arise even after common infections, such as the flu. People may experience post-viral symptoms, such as fatigue, for weeks or months after fighting off the infection….

Post-viral syndrome may cause additional symptoms, such as:

    confusion
    trouble concentrating
    headaches
aches and pains in the muscles
    stiff joints
    a sore throat
    swollen lymph nodes

    https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/326619

The UK government statistics I quoted yesterday were based on “two successive follow-up visits with no reported symptoms.” Let’s say someone recovers from Covid, their fatigue and every other symptom goes away, and at a follow-up visit they report no symptoms at all. At their next follow-up visit after that, they happen to have a headache (for whatever reason). If it’s more than 5 weeks (or 12 weeks) since they contracted Covid, they are included in the number of cases of “long Covid.”

The UK report makes it clear that if the assumptions were changed so that “no reported symptoms” was the endpoint, then the percentage afflicted with “long Covid” would be reduced from 13.7% to less than one percent.

Vaccine mandates in the US are said to require the FDA’s full approval, while vaccinating children requires only an EUA for their age group.

Pfizer has already requested an EUA for vaccinating children age 12-15, and it “could be available this summer.” For infants, toddlers, and children from 6 months to 11 years, “health officials have estimated vaccination in this age group could start in late 2021 or early 2022.

The right to refuse the vaccine begins at age 16, according to this article from the American Association of Pediatrics.

As COVID-19 vaccines inch closer to becoming available for children and adolescents, the AAP is helping pediatricians prepare to administer them…

Pfizer-BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccine is the only one available for teens as young as 16. However, each manufacturer has been studying its vaccines in adolescents as young as 12, and at least one could be available this summer

Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna also are conducting trials of their mRNA vaccines in children ages 6 months through 11 years. Health officials have estimated vaccination in this age group could start in late 2021 or early 2022

Adolescents who are at least 16 do not need special consent to receive a COVID-19 vaccine, but pediatricians should inform them about the FDA’s EUA, the potential risks and benefits, their option to accept or refuse and any available alternatives.

There exist a virus that culls the sick, old, and those that have a weak immune system and a bad lifestyle.
There is a response to that virus that caused changes to our social/economic systems.
The culling of those individuals will leave the remaining population with a more robust immune system.
The culling of those individuals will leave the social/economic systems healthier/robust.

However, in that same article he states:

“Now I have had my first shot of vaccine myself, and urge everyone to take their vaccine. I have expressed before my view that I believe that refusing to be vaccinated is an immoral position; it is to benefit from herd immunity while refusing to accept the very small personal risk from the vaccine itself.”

So … is Craig Murray advocating for the right of individuals to make a decision about getting vaccinated, or is he working to shame individuals into getting vaccinated? To present getting vaccinated as “moral” indicates the answer.

Craig Murray admitted his opinion (“my view”), without presenting his belief as fact, to let the reader know where he’s coming from. I think this makes the point of his article even stronger, since right after stating his approval of the vaccines, he wrote:

But I utterly reject the notion of compulsory vaccination or of penalising those who do not wish to vaccinated by limiting their lives.”

@Poulder Dweller: The (abridged) contents of the article Germ posted

State Supreme Court justice has ordered a Batavia hospital to administer the drug Ivermectin to an 81-year-old Covid-19 patient.

The case involving John W. Swanson, a farmer from Stafford in Genesee County, is the latest of several in which judges have ordered local hospitals to give Ivermectin to patients suffering from the virus. The drug is used to treat other ailments but is not yet approved by the federal government as a Covid-19 treatment.

Swanson was on a ventilator and “on death’s doorstep,” at the United Memorial Medical Center when doctors there gave him one dose of Ivermectin on April 1, according to an affidavit filed in court by attorneys for Swanson’s wife, Sandra.

“After that one dose, he started breathing on his own. He was taken off the ventilator and was making great progress,” said attorney Ralph C. Lorigo, who represents the Swanson family with Jon F. Minear. “Then, the hospital refused to give him additional doses.” …

While Ivermectin is not yet approved by the Food & Drug Administration as a treatment for Covid-19, many doctors – including some in Western New York – are offering the drug to their Covid-19 patients.

A hospital spokeswoman, Veronica R. Chiesi, declined to comment on Swanson’s case.

Doc Robinson: I would agree, if Murray used different language when discussing not getting vaccinated.

However, “refusing to be vaccinated is an immoral position” is an emotive argument that he backs up with zero evidence (for examples, what does the statistical evidence indicate these vaccines have accomplished to date?) Murray then goes on to state the vaccines break transmission (evidence?)

The language he uses when discussing compulsory vaccination, on the other hand, is relatively dry and he spends time discussing statistics and the odds of young people dying from covid, etc., etc., etc.

In light of the emotional [over]reaction these days to the subject of COVID and vaccination, I can’t help but be suspect when Murry does that very thing when discussing vaccination.

And … I like and appreciate your posts. I’m not being critical of your input, I just dislike attributing “morality” to vaccination. My personal bias. Understood.
