Well, as much as I would like to see the medical-industrial complex use the tools they already have to treat Covid (HCQ, Ivermectin, et. al.), perhaps I should be glad that Pfizer is working on some profit-generating equivalent that will be acceptable to the money-seeking mandarins? I suppose that all depends on how well it works. That said, it’s difficult not to be a little dubious about the prospect of “reinventing the wheel”.

Since I will be home from work in time to see it, I am morbidly curious as to what propaganda pResident Biden will be catapulting in his address to the nation at nine (eastern time) tonight? Probably a lot of singing of the praises of the vaccination campaign, for starters.

    • Oxford Jab ‘Could Be Banned For Under-40s’ After Blood Clot Reports Double (Metro)

The Norwegian Institute of Public Health (a government agency) has already concluded that there is a “higher risk associated with AstraZeneca vaccine than from COVID-19 disease in Norway.”

Calculations have been performed based on Norwegian data where the risk of dying from COVID-19 disease among the different age groups is compared with the risk of dying from the severe, but rare, condition with severe blood clots observed after AstraZeneca vaccination.

“Since there are few people who die from COVID-19 in Norway, the risk of dying after vaccination with the AstraZeneca vaccine would be higher than the risk of dying from the disease, particularly for younger people,” says Bukholm.

    https://www.fhi.no/en/news/2021/astrazeneca-vaccine-removed-from-coronavirus-immunisation-programme-in-norw/

The risk of dying from blood clots caused by the vaccine was found to be higher than the risk of dying from Covid-19. This blood clot issue is enough to rule out the vaccine, without even considering the other potentially harmful effects of the vaccine.

I wonder why the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine being singled out for the blood clot problem, when “Blood clots as prevalent with Pfizer and Moderna vaccine as with AstraZeneca’s“.

“A study by Oxford University found the number of people who receive blood clots after getting vaccinated with a coronavirus vaccine are about the same for those who get Pfizer and Moderna vaccines as they are for the AstraZeneca AZN, vaccine that was produced with the university’s help.”

@GERM(y): You are on a ROLL, Brother!
Commentarians like you were burning the midnight oil, and I don’t want folks to miss this article about how increasing cost of energy leads to slavery, like cheap coal helped abolish it.
(Spiritual guidance in life appears to be “free”, or close to it, certainly a “bargain”.)

    Signs of things to come

In employment, then, the practical response to the rising energy cost of energy is that employers and workers seek to circumvent labour market regulation which was created in a bygone age when real growth was still possible. And note that this is a very different reality to the wildly optimistic, hi-tech fantasy of the “Great Reset” in which we are meant to generate sufficient growth to automate almost everything.

Nor is the gig economy the place where decline stops. While a large part of the gig economy exists in a legal twilight zone in which a great deal that goes on is unlawful – subject to civil law – very little crosses the boundary into criminality. But as the energy cost of energy increases, criminal gangs also have a growing incentive to engage in crime as a means of circumventing the laws and regulations of a by-gone age.

It is no accident that growing demand for the abolition of slavery corresponded to the growth of coal-powered industrialisation. Such an economy no longer needs raw labour power – whether waged or forced – because of the huge increase in productivity achieved by industrial technologies backed by an explosion of fossilised sunlight. Wage labourers were still needed to mind the machines; but they were no longer the power source behind them. This is seen most clearly in the nineteenth century division between the industrial northern states of the USA, where freed slaves were a useful addition to the growing industrial workforce, and the manual labour-based colonial economies of the southern states whose profit margins were built on the back of slave labourers.

The Market Ticker article (linked above by Germ), discussing that study published in Nature, is extremely interesting.

    From the Nature study:
“Taken together, SARS-CoV-2 T cell epitopes enabled detection of post-infectious T cell immunity in 100% of individuals convalescing from COVID-19 and revealed pre-existing T cell responses in 81% of unexposed individuals.”

    Karl Denninger’s response:

Now we know what Diamond Princess happened the way it did. It was never possible for more than 20% of the people on that ship to get seriously-symptomatic Covid-19 despite being cooped up in close quarters for weeks with an aerosol-spread disease and cruise passengers generally being wildly-overrepresented for various morbidity factors. It also completely explains why one of two people quarantined in the same cabin got sick and the other did not.

We also know why my friend’s grandfather was killed by it but his equally-morbid grandmother was not touched symptomatically even though she tested positive despite literally sleeping in the same bed with him until he wound up in the hospital and ultimately expired.

We also know why there is no place on the planet that has seen >20% of people with significant, symptomatic disease from Covid-19. Not a single place has had that happen, even where sanitation is crap and people spread it like crazy (e.g. Iran where they lick monuments sequentially — literally.)

This study explains every single example seen everywhere in the world, including high-concentration examples, of infection with Covid-19 back to the start of the pandemic. We now know why no more than 20% of any exposed population has ever exhibited materially-serious disease — it simply was not possible as no more than 20% of the population was potentially susceptible to serious disease. Ever. Period.

Beyond the Diamond Princess example, this also rings true for the close quarters of the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt. The total crew was 4,800. Virtually all of the crew was tested.

“1271 crew members tested positive for SARS-Cov-2 and an additional 60 had suspected COVID-19 but did not test positive; 76.9% of those who tested positive were asymptomatic at testing and only 55% developed any symptoms.”
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/COVID-19_pandemic_on_USS_Theodore_Roosevelt

    One of Denninger’s conclusions:
“Short-term prevention of “infection” among the 81% of those with existing T-cell recognition to the nucleocapsid proteins is not only stupid it is likely to kill people over the intermediate and longer term since those who are not vaccinated and get infected with partial resistance build additional and durable immunity via said low-symptom and asymptomatic infections which do not materially harm them and blocking that process is harmful, not helpful. This group includes nearly all young adults and children for which people are trying to force vaccination.”

The “Hunter Biden” and “Matt Gaetz” stories are non-stories that are used for purely political purposes and for distractions from the real stories. The “Russian collusion” and “stolen election” stories are also non-stories. Demonstrate verifiable facts, or get lost.

That billionaires pay very little taxes would be a real story. Topcat’s post the other day, that most people in high places fall into the sociopath/psychopath range, would be a real story. Those are the kind of stories that we are discouraged from discussing.

    Warning: Musings, ramble.

On Kunstler etc. The Biden s-election (stolen without any doubt) continues to puzzle me.

A decrepit establishment figure is often nominated as ‘Head’ in systems where ‘one party’ or ‘one family’, ‘one large group’ (for ex., royals) serve to show continuity, stability, ‘party’ adherence, a guarantee of the system’s continuation — > Rule by dominant committee and the top cadres. The cadres, the families, the lower rungs, will continue to be paid. See for ex. Andropov, USSR (though afaik he wasn’t senile). A more interesting example which combines tradition and pretend renewal is M. Bin Salman, a totally scripted move, doomed to fail btw.

The Biden admin shows strong signs (evident in Dem. stances for a long time) of radicalisation into ‘woke’ politics, making race, racism, and assorted IDPOL issues top of the agenda, coupled with some moves resembling the ‘European left’ (I consider the French Socialists, Keir Starmer’s Labor, US Democrats, overall the Third-Wayers, Clintonites all, traitors to a peoples, workers, egalitarian, causes..), e.g. higher taxation for the rich, investment in infrastructure (though that doesn’t amount to much imho, other story), and some green energy posturing.

The recognition of the Armenian genocide is right in the ‘victims of racism’ direction. That genocide was real, recognizing it goes against NATO Turkey and Israel, as Isr. postures as the top victim.

Along the IDPOL line I read that the Biden admin. supports trans-men competing in F sports (no idea about the details or how far that goes) and this again is in favor of anyone constructing their own ‘identity’ and all ‘victims’ have to be ‘helped.’

A stance of moral superiority is adopted. Very cultural-revolution like.

Antifa and BLM are /Dem party, donors/ supported, while Occupy Wall Street was destroyed by Obama (or by its own internal contradictions.) Meanwhile, those in charge are Gvmt-Corp-Milit-other and that isn’t about to change, though the mostly white ‘directorate’ is now supposed to be filled with self-loathing to become ‘more diverse’. (In France, several ‘Arab’ ppl were co-opted to appear front stage and on TV — total manipulation imho..)

Claiming the moral high ground often signals that other rubrics – of governance, “growth”, technological, scientific, milit. supremacy, happiness of the ppl – is out of reach, scrapped. Screeching about wrong, bad, values of opponents replaces bread (a decent life) for the people, heh, cake and all that. It signals weakness, which everyone in the world now sees.

Ladies and Germs, “Schrodinger’s COVID”, with much you just saw, and this:
    https://www.johndayblog.com/2021/04/schrodingers-covid.html

I would like to present a hypothesis from the COVID-19 Treating Physicians list, which is that the increased “confirmed” COVID-19 cases and COVID-19 deaths in the 2 weeks following vaccination are actually vaccine adverse reactions, which test positive for SARS-CoV-2, because the “vaccines” cause the body to produce, and widely distribute, exactly the spike=protein fragments which the test detects in the nasal mucous.
One of my patients was recently hospitalized about a week after an mRNA vaccination, and tested positive for COVID with a nasal swab, so her pneumonia was COVID-Pneumonia. She had been hospitalized last August for a bad case of COVID. She had antibodies. She got an inflammatory response. The hospital put her on steroids and oxygen, and she lived. A week after discharge, still on blood thinners, she was short of breath again, and had a blood clot in her lungs. She was admitted again. We are monitoring her blood thinner doses. My clinic has called her to get her second vaccine shot.
I have written that she should not, but how do I back that up?
She obviously got COVID again, so obviously needs the shot, though a 3 month wait after COVID is considered “abundantly cautious”.

I have been called a contrarian, and I can be when I feel like it. THis is an example of that, my penchant for devil’s advocacy: we see slavery in large structural terms, like we see everything.

But the slavery we’ll see will, much of it, be more a serfdom than slavery. People will band together for proitection. Those who established and/or protect the fief get higher caste status than those who do the major grunt work. and fwiw, being a West Virginai coal miner in the previous centuries was closer than not to slavery.

so: yes: slavery. But not necessarily soulless corporate slavery. We already have that albeit with the voluntary option of being homeless. We don’t have chattel slavery… yet.
(cheesy sci-fi lo-tek prediction: that will, ironically, probably be centered in fossil fuel production and such. For awhile. Mostly supplying local markets with crude products. But chattel slavery is difficult to maintain. It wants a large majority exploiting a inority. We’re gonna have a large majority of people too poor to enslave anyone.)

@JohnDay, this is precisely the scenario I tried to bring up with my wife this morning (adverse vaccine reactions masquerading as Covid-19 hospitalizations). Here in Oregon the damn governor is locking down counties again “because of increased hospitalizations.” I would be most interested in any sources you might be able provide that confirm that spike proteins produced as a result of vaccination would show up as positive PCR tests. Is it fragments of the spike protein itself that are detected by the PCR test, or is it fragments of the single strand RNA encased within the spike protein that are detected by the PCR test? Presumably the gene therapy process omits putting the RNA inside the spike protein created in your cells, so if the PCR test is looking for RNA fragments then vaccinated people should not be showing positive test results.

    Ran across this today:
    https://www.theepochtimes.com/mkt_morningbrief/steve-deace-on-faucian-bargain-second-opinions-about-covid-19-denied-to-americans_3791690.html?utm_source=morningbriefnoe&utm_medium=email2&utm_campaign=mb-2021-04-27&mktids=15fc1028a397f53538a69ab8a80856d9&est=INKP0YQKbs%2BP1yXkICOg7vLKOOxehmOMIz2yyoYugzuy65s0lBizOEvfNdDP8A%3D%3D

    Best points IMO:

“For example, if the average American knew that almost half of the deaths in America with COVID occurred in nursing homes where less than one percent of Americans live, we would have never ever gone along with this level of subjugation,” Deace told host Jan Jekielek. “These are the sorts of data points that have been kept from the American people, so they have not been given the right to informed consent.”

Deace moved on to cite a variety of “counter experts” from prestigious institutions such as Stanford and Oxford Universities, who “got kicked to the curb” because of their skepticism of one particular COVID-19 model used to justify lockdowns that severely affected people’s lives.

“We were told to trust the experts,” he said. “Why weren’t we permitted to get second opinions from counter experts, before we decided to risk a huge drop in cancer screenings, 40 million unemployed, 20 percent of American small businesses that are never going to return, on average, across the country?”

Deace then highlighted an apparent lack of controlled scientific studies proving the effectiveness of masks. He noted that while no domestic studies used a random controlled sample of unmasked people, a Danish study did and found that wearing a mask doesn’t significantly reduce one’s chances of contracting the virus.

Rototillerman: …the damn governor is locking down counties again “because of increased hospitalizations.”

The increased hospitalizations might be due to those who were recently vaccinated being exposed to the virus during their daily lives and coming down with worse reactions from the infection than they would have if they weren’t vaccinated.

    As Karl Denninger explains,

Note that when you get the shot the first thing you get is antibodies; you may get a T-cell reaction. This pre-existing knowledge, from SARS (CoV-1) entirely explains why people who just got vaccinated often get hammered by the virus and frequently end up in the hospital or die. It marks the premise of attempting to vaccinate out of a pandemic where transmission is actively occurring as stupid.

You go get the shot. Five days later you get the virus. You have not yet developed immunity and the partial expression makes it worse.

You would have been better off, by far, taking the same infection straight up front. It likely would have harmed you less.

This generally applies, by the way, to all vaccines and all viruses. The government and researchers know this. They’ve known this for decades. It’s fact. It’s why you don’t wait until the measles is raging around you to get a measles vaccine and the same is true for the flu shot; you get it before the flu season starts for this very reason. Attempting to vaccinate out of a raging infection does not work and in fact kills people.

Yeah, if you don’t get infected during that latent period you get protection. But if you do get infected you’re screwed and all of the two-dose shots have a roughly four week window during which you get hosed instead of protected. Israel’s data, by the way, proves this is real; Berenson has been reporting on it since the beginning of the year and I’ve noted it as well.

I feel the need to write this because I feel we are not truly connected to the energy of our survival.

First my mother, father and grandmother have taken the “experimental jab”. I hope they remain in my life going forward.

So as a registered SURGICAL/ICU/MENTAL HEALTH kind of nurse I have tried share some of my insights that could prove helpful.

While I totally agree with everyone making their own choices based on what they believe and their freedom to live their life as they see fit, I have become somewhat depressed that my parents have taken the experimental injection. We will see where this leads but at least they did what they feel was right and even if they die that is a pleasant thought.

So this virus is bullshit. Yes like a nasty flu. That is the reality, accept it or not but that is my assessment and it is a very educated one but possibly not important to my parents when the world is telling them differently. Whatever happens, at least they were free.

Listen carefully. This is not a pandemic. With a population death rate of less than one percent, most of us would live a full life.

So what is going on? Most of us are so disconnected from nature and death that it becomes some kind of intellectual exercise. That is a mistake.

If this industrial civilization collapses things will become very clear, very fast and for most it will be too late

    Ivermectin protease

“Emerging outbreak of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection is a major threat to public health. The morbidity is increasing due to lack of SARS-CoV-2 specific drugs. Herein, we have identified potential drugs that target the 3-chymotrypsin like protease (3CLpro), the main protease that is pivotal for the replication of SARS-CoV-2. Computational molecular modeling was used to screen 3987 FDA approved drugs, and 47 drugs were selected to study their inhibitory effects on SARS-CoV-2 specific 3CLpro enzyme in vitro. Our results indicate that boceprevir, ombitasvir, paritaprevir, tipranavir, ivermectin, and micafungin exhibited inhibitory effect towards 3CLpro enzymatic activity.”

    madamski: Ivermectin protease

That linked study was published in January 2021. I find it interesting that a similar result for Ivermectin was published much earlier, in April 2020, by researchers primarily at universities in Venezuela and Ecuador. They mentioned that “Interestingly, the energy of interaction of ivermectin with any of the proteins the SARS-CoV-2 and the possible structural alterations at the protein level that this drug can cause have not been reported [before this study].>” Not reported publicly at least, but I’d wager that various drug companies were already studying the interactions between ivermectin and the Covid proteins, and trying to find a way to profit from the knowledge.

The results obtained suggested that ivermectin is capable of docking with the 3CL protease and the HR2 domain, and may promote structural changes in these proteins by inducing unfolding/folding. Specifically, ivermectin brings protease to a significantly more deployed conformational state and the HR2 domain to a more compact state compared to the native state. Finally, it is shown that B1a and B1b macrocyclic lactones have a behavior different from to each target protein. These results suggest a possible inhibitory effect against SARS-CoV-2 due to a synergistic role of this drug to spontaneously bind to two important proteins involve in the proliferation of this virus

Our results indicate that boceprevir, ombitasvir, paritaprevir, tipranavir, ivermectin, and micafungin exhibited inhibitory effect towards 3CLpro enzymatic activity. The 100 ns molecular dynamics simulation studies showed that ivermectin may require homodimeric form of 3CLpro enzyme for its inhibitory activity. In summary, these molecules could be useful to develop highly specific therapeutically viable drugs to inhibit the SARS-CoV-2 replication either alone or in combination with drugs specific for other SARS-CoV-2 viral targets.

If you have already had COVID (big or little case) and you get a “vaccine” that makes your body produce pieces of spike protein, they will get exuded into your nasal mucous, as far as I know. That would make the rapid antigen test go positive.
So, if you are getting sick from your immune system attacking all of those little proteins it hates vengefully , and you go to the ER sick, you may have a chest x-ray that looks like COVID Pneumonia, and a positive rapid antigen test
Why would anybody bother to send out a PCR “Confirmatory” test that will take 3 days to be reported?
    They don’t. I review ER/hospital records daily. A positive is a positive.
The trouble is, that somebody having an adverse vaccine reaction is listed as a COVID case, and may die as a COVID case.
That would, however, explain all of those COVID deaths right after vaccination. It’s a lot for the first 4-5 days and slowly declines after that.
I’m pretty sure this is a question that nobody with money wants to be asked.

Primitive societies are largely free of cardiovascular disease, cancer, dental cavities, economic theories, lounge music, and other modern ailments.

This must be one the dumbest things I’ve read in a while.

Docta, docta; where is your sense of humor?

    The truth is like that.
