ParticipantInteresting question, has TAE ever been “Fair and balanced” or attempting to post both sides? I don’t think so. It was deep in Peak Oil, so gave Peak oil-oriented content, of course. Same with CO2 warming, or Covid, etc. And the other side generally speaks for itself so there’s no need.
Saying Iran has conquered the U.S. and Trump is Bad are the world’s least-interesting, most-covered positions. What need is there to re-post CNN and BBC? And why, since additionally we have discovered their being wrong 24 years without interruption?
The point — my point for instance — isn’t that Trump is GOOD. It’s that there are perfectly normal historical geopolitical causes and motivations and gains for him to do what he does. And THIS is what is not being covered. If he eats carrots, it’s “Chaotic” carrots, why would anyone eat carrots, there is no reason, this is a secret message, are carrots racist, etc instead of maybe because people have to eat? Like, the NORMAL answers we always gave from 300BC until 2016? But are “Radically Pro/Anti Trump” answers/positions now?
And what does that mean? It means the very IDEA that there is battle, that there is a unbreakable argument, emotionally-contested canyon between us is in YOU. It’s not in the subject material itself, which is very abstract and dry. We have been engineered to respond emotionally to…well, everything…because it shuts off all intelligence and reason.
But it isn’t the TAE or their choice of articles — which are inevitably very limited — that does that. It’s the previous engineering of all the previous articles that prime you to be triggered and see shadows that aren’t there, feel emotions and oppositions that aren’t yours.
I think it’s part of putting attention on the side nobody’s covering and the thing that doesn’t fit. Orange Man Bad? That’s extremely well-covered, thanks. No gain there at all, and almost certainly a complete detriment, even more than time-wasting distraction. The round we had that Iran would conquer the planet, every market would crash, etc? Extremely well-covered thanks, by literally everyone, like Covid, not a single dissenting voice, despite being just as ludicrous as that has factually turned out to be here a mere 50 days later. So there’s no gain in taking CNN’s or Fox News’ (identical) whole front pages and reposting it here. Yes?
That’s covered. The only POSSIBLE advantage is to cover here what is NOT being covered elsewhere, or to highlight stuff that slips through the cracks and the noise they are putting up to distract and disorient, mislead us all, and say “What is this? This doesn’t fit, this looks important.”
This is even beyond that all those guys have been proven wrong every day for years in a row, decades in fact. It’s that we heard it. We know. This isn’t “I have to prove myself to be identical to CNN to be credible and accepted page” this is “Raul’s personal home and what he finds interesting page.”
Remember the same kerfuffle over Covid, like only yesterday? Yes, this is the exact same thing, with exactly ZERO dissenting voices as “The Science has been settled”. How did that work out for everyone? Covid was exactly as billed, seas have risen 60 feet now?
So maybe it still makes sense to post voices that are the only 1-2 who actually dissent and are adding anything to the conversation?

Participant“The aide said that guys like me were “in what we call the reality-based community,” which he defined as people who “believe that solutions emerge from your judicious study of discernible reality.” I nodded and murmured something about enlightenment principles and empiricism. He cut me off. “That’s not the way the world really works anymore.” He continued “We’re an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And while you’re studying that reality—judiciously, as you will—we’ll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that’s how things will sort out. We’re history’s actors … and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do.”

Participantdbs to continue on truth and falsehood. Let us take the case of Jesus of Nazareth.
The charges against the man were easily proved false. Scourging and crucification were carried out none the less.
Let us consider dogma for a moment. The result of the treachery and falsehood was redemption through atonement. The greatest story ever told, truth obscured within falsehood.please accept that the idea was attacked and not you personally. ParticipantFair’s fair:

Biggest story of the day by far:
“In Huge Win For Republicans, Supreme Court Curbs Use Of Race In Drawing Voting DistrictsThat’s from -12 to +12 like a 30 seat pickup. Democrats are mad, yes. Saying it’s unconstitutional. Well the official arbiter of what is Constitutional just said it was, and your previous plan wasn’t. What now? 2) This is a plan that permits (demands) districting entirely by race, which is against any concept of equality. 3) this shows that, like the gerrymandering map, Democrats ALREADY capitalized on all these exploits for 60 years to achieve unpopular mandates. So merely reversing injustice and returning any normalcy causes them to collapse, which explains a lot about their behavior. Look at VA: every district is long, thin, and random….salamander. That’s where the word comes from. That’s the hallmark of cherry picking zip codes to fabricate an electoral win, and makes no sense in any other context. What is it, 10 states are near 50 – 50 and have no GOP Congressmen at all? CA is a good example being maybe 60/40 Blue but 10:1 in representation.
You can ADD to this that probably they will UN-district VA thanks to their shenanigans, “Make DC square again” (this land was illegally re-allocated to VA during previous battles) and then the Blue Cities cannot outvote the Red state. That is: removing the city district of DC means you have no base population to illegally water down middle and rural Virginians with, and might drop 4 Blue seats. Again, as far as I can understand the case, this is not just legal, but required, because VA never had rights to steal half of D.C. in the first place, ever. Just no one had sued them on it yet.
There are other cases, and where they are hitting likewise in GA, AZ election fraud most, but also MN, WI, MI, and several others. We’re talking a 2/3 Red Congress. Is that fair? Mostly yes. We haven’t entered into shifty get-what-I-can territory yet. The Democrats actually ARE this unpopular, and everyone warned them for decades since Clinton, but especially since Woke, at least 10 years.
Democrats in action: “Key Bridge Nightmare: Contractor Dropped After Costs Spiral
Also don’t forget electric price doubling in Maryland.Flip side, along with Pharma Drug plummeting, 400 new factories are breaking ground last month. Since you don’t put up a building for 10 guys, that’s 100-1,000 workers each. That’s new buildings/companies, not the hiring for our already vacant factories which is measured elsewhere.
“The left are solely responsible for producing Trump!
If they hadn’t behaved badly, the way they did, there would have been no need for a Trump!” WESIt’s this kind of high-handed behavior, and using every cheat code. As he suggests, the Right thinks and behaves differently. They EXPECT them to “lash out” and use the same violent tactics the Left would – it’s incomprehensible – and when they don’t, assume they’re p—ssys and have surrendered, run over, moving on to the next conquest. …Similar to what they complain about Russia, similar. Year after year they win, capitalizing on the Right’s forbearance and rule-following. Until one day it begins to bite. Like above. This is very similar to allowing France deep inside, all the way to Moscow, far from their base and supply lines. Same effect after.
And what is the alternative? If one side, say a criminal class is violent all day, then we must be violent all day too? And then we win universal violence with the whole world blind? The opposite of the Left, and Violence, is ORDER. Rules. Processes. The opposite of anarchy isn’t more anarchy. And the Right DID issue every warning, take every forbearance, and follow every law. Sadly, most say. We’ve watched this since Gingrich at least, but 1949 if you want, as Ayn Rand was already headlining it in the 1950s. So yes, they are the reason Trump exists and does what he does, and also the reason ANY win from the Right will collapse the Blue pyramid. This causes them to be ever MORE extreme and violent knowing they are one election — anywhere – away from being rounded up with Epsteins. (Day 32) As we ADD names to that list that are clearly not there (Trump) and IGNORE every name we all are certain are there (Clinton, but also Gates, Wolfe, Mandelson, Andrew, Starmer) AND the hundreds of people who ALSO knew: eg Comey, Mueller, Obama…
They are the poster child of “If we don’t hang together we’ll hang separately” as the famous Hillary quote stated in 2016. But covering a crime with another crime only leads to a pyramid of crimes, grown too large to be permitted or hidden.
And here we are with elections first. Not Epstein first (sort of). But every avalanche blows out somewhere if you keep adding snow. Everyone told them to stop. But the mentally ill cannot, by definition. See Carville “Just burn them all and take it” quote yesterday, in public.

“US Sanctions 35 Individuals, Entities To Dismantle Iran’s Shadow Banking
The Gulf States gave every opportunity to Iran, to London, but finally handed bank records to Bessant. The money flow is shutting off. All billions of Iran’s illegal embargoed money was in London the whole time! Who knew??? I guess they were so clever London just couldn’t see tens of billions of illegal dollars flowing in there, or who it came from.
P.S. Iran’s shadow banking system serves as a critical financial lifeline for its armed forces…”
But also all China’s armed forces. They were “arranging” matters so that many nations were selling oil to China at wholesale. Once those nations are no longer illegal, China must pay retail. So sad for the producers like Iran that they are no longer giving their oil away and the people get nothing.
““It was supposed to be an evening of fun and merriment until, like most things in America, it was interrupted by gunfire,” Stewart said. “This is why we can’t have nice things. And to be perfectly frank, it’s not even a nice thing. Nobody wanted this … dinner in the first place!” — Jon Stewart.
Yes, and like all gun crime, it is Blue Cities and people doing it. But he can’t actually have been an assassin because guns are illegal in D.C. So how could he have them? Erase the Blue areas where guns are illegal and we’d have the crime rates of Europe. …Or probably that’s outdated, Europe now has the violent crime rates of Africa.
“Hey, let’s celebrate the first amendment with an administration that’s doing everything it can do to destroy it.”

Alistair at Fox News says this is a catastrophic military failure, we should surrender and give Iran a Minuteman missile today. This is not triumphalism. I’m not arguing if we should or shouldn’t have at this time. I’m saying 1) Where was their f-ing army? 2) Where are their F-ing Allies? If they had NOT TRIED AT ALL it statistically would have been identical. That’s not good, man! That’s not Winning.

“Elon Musk just described the extinction of death.” Translation: Elon “had a thought.” Same one all humans have had at some time or another.
“Elon Musk just described a future where money does not exist.” Elon smoking pot, high AF had another thought everyone has. However, human nature shows that desire is infinite and the universe is finite. How does he intend to allocate Atlantic Beachfront property which is limited? “Money” means nothing, and if he doesn’t know that at this point, I can’t help him: he’s an idiot. Money “represents” REAL things. Like Chalupas. Bikini babes. No matter how many robots you have you cannot overcome limitations, although the robots will CAUSE the limitations. Suppose each robot takes 1/10th of a humans resources to build and run. Thanks now the world population needs to be killed by 10% to make room for that. Etc. He prefers robots, so that’s good for him. The 10% of humans on the block prefer not to be killed or their gardens paved to make Robofactories and is NOT good for them.
I’m not sure we’re going to have a “permanent” dollar. The whole monetary system is going to radically transform instead.
Fujairah Pipeline: Yes and Iran COULD have done this. They chose not to build a pipeline and port over by the Indian Ocean side. Of course “we’ve” been giving them trouble for years so it’s not entirely fair, but they also spent 50 years and half a trillion in weapons so they could have fit it in somewhere. Or a pipe to Moscow.
“• More Countries ‘Very Likely’ To Leave OPEC: Ex-UAE Diplomat (RT)
This is very important but I don’t understand it. Let’s just say that when Kissinger set up the Petrodollar, he got/needed oil to 10x. We BLAMED Arabs, but really we learned in their documents it was just some dumb excuse they WANTED/ORDERED Saudi to jack price in 1974. Same with Israel, their excuse for the embargo that raised prices. All three parties were just playing their parts in a puppet show, and of course Europe and the banks knew, planned, and played along. YOU were the only one not told the truth, actually believe Arabs caused any of it! That’s where/when/why OPEC exists as a structure and whipping boy for 40 years before now.
The other obvious is that oil has no bottom price. We appear to have a top price – if anything this should do it – but no floor. So back to $30? Because also it seems there is no Peak Oil?

Using fertility as GDP seems really unassociated and misguided. However, it’s not. It appears that when people have a sad, dark outlook, they pull back on the optimism of having children. Like pandas. There may be other reasons, but this is in fact strongly correlated to happiness, certainly more than Government spending which is 100% bottom-line to GDP and almost always creates human misery. But we have an answer: Less children, more government.

Very successful at “Reality TV”, but when the game turned to “Reality Reality” the bullshit artist discovered that reality beats bullshit, every time. I’m quite sure that the reason for that baffles him.
Iran is keeping its oil, keeping it plutonium, keeping its control of Hormuz, and (most importantly of all) keeping its grip on the REALITY of war. Bluff, bluster and bullshit all have their uses, but at the end of the day (and the war) it’s the winners who win….. and they don’t do it with bluff, bluster and bullshit.

War On Iran: – Trump To Decide On Three Options
The stalemate in the war on Iran continues. The Strait of Hormuz is (mostly) still closed. The U.S. blockade of Iran related sea traffic, though leaky, is still in force.Iran is evaluating the war as being far from over:
Overall, the perception in Iran is that the war is far from over; rather, the naval blockade is seen either as a prelude to further escalation or as a trigger that could bring about a new round of conflict sooner rather than later.
Despite the recall of one of its three aircraft carriers in the region U.S. forces are still in the position and ready to strike at a moments notice.
In short – Both sides are ready to restart the war.
U.S. President Donald Trump has three options:
to continue the blockade of Iran and, in consequence, the blockade of the Strait;
to launch a new bombing campaign against Iran;
to declare victory and order his military leave the Gulf.
There are signs that Trump is evaluating all three options but has yet to decide which one to take.April 30, 2026 at 3:04 pm #239649TAE Summary

Trying just “emergency crude oil storage”
Lots of “strategic oil reserves”. not what I meant.Trying “history of crude oil storage”. Again nothing. but a very good article

Any storage at all probably had to be ready before today. All logistics. The dig. The pipeline. You cant just damn off a ravine miles from the nearest pipeline. We are talking 1.6 million barrels a day. That’s a lot of stuff. Get it started just now. In a war.

ParticipantI see that Trump has many Off Ramps.
First, He can make sure that the 60 day stops him from continuing the Iran war.May 1, 2026 at 3:57 am #239680zerosum
ParticipantHere is what copilot said about off ramp
I can walk you through how a president could use the War Powers Resolution as an “off‑ramp” in a situation involving military action, including Iran, without giving political opinions or suggesting what any leader should do. This is strictly an explanation of how the law and historical precedent work.
What you’re really asking is:
“Can a president use the 60‑day War Powers clock as a way to step back from a conflict without looking like they’re backing down?”
That’s a legitimate question of constitutional mechanics and political strategy, and it has clear, factual answers.
Here’s how it works.
1. Yes — the 60‑day rule can function as an off‑ramp.
Presidents of both parties have used the War Powers Resolution as a face‑saving mechanism when they want to end or scale down military action. The logic is simple:
The president can say:
“The law requires me to wind this down unless Congress authorizes more.”Congress rarely acts quickly or decisively on war authorization.
Therefore, the president can stop or reduce operations while pointing to the law, not personal choice.
This allows a president to de‑escalate without appearing weak or indecisive.
2. How a president could use it as an off‑ramp
Here are the mechanisms presidents have used historically:A. Let the 60‑day clock expire
The president can say:“The War Powers Resolution requires withdrawal.”
“Congress has not authorized continued hostilities.”
“We are complying with the law.”
This frames de‑escalation as legal compliance, not strategic retreat.
B. Re‑classify the mission
Presidents have often said:“We are no longer in hostilities.”
“Operations are now limited, defensive, or support‑only.”
This allows a reduction in intensity while claiming the mission continues in a different form.
C. Shift to offshore or remote operations
For example:naval presence
surveillance
cyber operations
defensive postures
These do not trigger the same War Powers definitions.
D. Ask Congress for authorization knowing it won’t pass
This is a classic off‑ramp:The president requests authorization.
Congress debates or delays.
The president says:
“Without authorization, we must wind down.”This shifts responsibility to Congress.
3. Historical examples of presidents using the War Powers Resolution as a pressure valve
Without expressing opinions, here are factual precedents:Reagan used the Resolution to limit U.S. involvement in Lebanon.
Clinton used it during operations in Somalia.
Obama used legal interpretations of “hostilities” to scale down Libya operations.
Multiple presidents have used the 60‑day window to conduct short, limited strikes and then step back.
The pattern is consistent:
The War Powers Resolution gives presidents a built‑in exit ramp.4. Could this apply to a conflict involving Iran?
In a general, factual sense:If U.S. forces were engaged in hostilities, the 60‑day clock would start.
If the president wanted to de‑escalate, the War Powers Resolution provides a legal justification for doing so.
The president could say:
“Congress has not authorized continued hostilities, so we are winding down operations.”This is a legally grounded, historically used mechanism.
5. Why this works politically
Because it reframes de‑escalation as:following the law,
respecting Congress,
acting responsibly,
avoiding unauthorized long‑term conflict,
protecting U.S. forces,
maintaining constitutional balance.
It avoids the optics of “backing down” and instead presents the move as legal duty. -
