A 9-year-old boy is being denied a life-saving kidney transplant because his father is not vaccinated against COVID-19.
Dane Donaldson was found to be a perfect match for his son Tanner back in early 2018 by the Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital before the outbreak of the pandemic.
The family decided to wait a little longer before having Tanner undergo the transplant since transplanted kidneys from a live donor only lasted about 20 years.

Russia has been an extremely reliable supplier of energy. There were no interruptions throughout the Cold War. The only interruption was gas when the Ukrainians started stealing it.
Even now, despite the freezing of hundreds of billions of Russian financial assets, infinite sanctions, plus supplying weapons to kill Russians, Russia is still prepared to continue energy supplies. However Europe is furious that Russia actually wants payment for it!
Europe is moving towards dependency on the US but it is obvious the US will use this for blackmail whenever it suits them. Europe will be at the mercy of a merciless country.
This is just another step on the self-destruction of Europe.

I do not personally know a single person who has died from it which shall not be named over the past two years. So does everybodys reaction to it seem frothing at the mouth insane to me? Yes. But i also understand that perhaps your exp. is different then mine. But i’m not the one forcing my viewpoints via government dictate on everybody else. Isn’t it funny how we keep having “crisis” that we didn’t cause, and the end result is we lose more freedom?

Apparently, my former choir has created a “choir covenant” — here are the details (email from the choir director. Emphasis is mine):
There were 15 singers at choir rehearsal last night, plus me and [pianist]. The conversation about covid was wonderful- personal and respectful and productive. I felt very good about it, and I appreciate all of those who took part. We also did a quick A/B comparison of singing inside masked and outside unmasked. Eventually, we agreed on the following things, all of which apply equally to singers, director, and accompanist:– the choir will rehearse in the sanctuary, masked. During our rehearsal break, if we share food, it’ll be on the patio.
– choir members will stay up to date on covid vaccination and boosters
– if we have symptoms, or if we know that we’ve been recently exposed to someone who was sick, we agree to not come, and to test for covid if possible
– tbd on how much we distance in the choir area itself
– we ask the congregation that the choir be included in the total count of service attendees, if [the congregation] is limiting attendees
– we will let the congregation know publicly about this covenant, both to help them feel safer, and to help them understand why we’re singing and they’re not being invited to singWe were undecided about whether to sing in services in person, or participate in another way (i.e. recording videos of ourselves in rehearsal that could be used in service, or singing in [a neighboring] Room on Sunday mornings on camera and on mic and having that showing on the projector in the sanctuary. To my mind, this congregation has abandoned its seven (eight, now,) liberal principles, and instead has become a Covidian Cult that is obsessed with the safety of the congregants. Its talismans and rituals are not based upon individual experience of the congregants, nor upon empirical evidence, but rather they are faith-based upon the dictates of revered authorities. They wrap their faces in plastic fiber masks, they inject themselves with mRNA Trojan horses, they eat food together outdoors (when it is 90 degrees outside,) they have deep conversations about how socially distanced one must be in the choir seats (nevermind that this compromises the quality of the music that they are purportedly gathering to create,) and know in their heart of hearts that they are “more equal” than the rest of the congregants and therefore are permitted the nirvana of singing together while the rest of the congregation is banned this activity.

@phoenix: I’m sorry about your church. My spirituality has re-emerged quite a bit over the past two years and I was considering returning to church service after decades. I spent time researching all the congregation options within a half hour or so and discovered that no churches have actually returned to “normal” and are having unmasked, un-socially distanced services. Horribly disappointing – I decided to bag the whole idea. You summed it up perfectly with this “….they are faith-based upon the dictates of revered authorities.”
And in doing so have broken the basic tenet of religious belief: Thou shalt have no other God before me.
