An interesting attempt to stave off endings; it is now more profitable for China to build cotton mills – in the US, and hire desperate poor people to work there, than to operate in China.

Won’t solve anything; but it keeps the kicked can going just a tad more-

“China dumped four tons on the market, causing the price of the precious metal to fall almost 4% within a matter of seconds.”

Yeah…*sure* they did. They said to themselves, “I’ve got an idea, let’s sell 2,700,000oz of our gold. What’s the best way to do that? I’ve got it: drop all $3 Billion on the market in 5 seconds, by market order, in the thinnest market hours of the week.” Sounds legit, said no one ever. But it’s CNBC so you know it’s not news.

The immigrant thing: maybe Britain and everyone else should tell their “bloated” leaders not to bomb and destroy other nations. Then those nations would be happy and prosperous and their people wouldn’t try to flee to Europe and the Calais tunnel by the millions. I mean, maybe we could start the discussion with the real genesis of the problem? It’s not that Britons go on vacation; it’s not even global warming. It might have a bit more to do with Gen. Tommy Franks’ youtube video describing how the U.S. planned to topple every government in N. Africa and the Middle East in a specific order, regardless of whether they were peaceful, legitimate, or the slightest threat to the smallest U.S. interest. Don’t want 2M people fleeing Syria? Don’t bomb them 4 years continuously. Ain’t rocket science.

The Obama global warming? Shouldn’t waste his breath. 1st, nobody on earth is going to cooperate even if the U.S. reduced CO2 to zero. Every other nation on earth would be happy to burn the cheaper fuel we made available.
2nd, as if nobody noticed, usage is already collapsing due to the economy. Lower CO2=problem solved! And nobody had to lift a finger! It’s the Wu Way. If you really believe in the urgency of Global Warming, then why isn’t everyone happy about it?
3rd, wind and solar? Really, guys, still? Have we not had enough studies showing how grid-tied mass projects require equal buildout in conventional on-demand generators? The same ones you just closed, with the double-effect of wildly increasing energy costs in the teeth of a Depression?
And 4th, the real answer of lower, more efficient consumption, with distributed generation and consumption? This will happen naturally when the people are so broke they can’t afford their heating bills, abandon inefficient means, and create any replacement they can find as the grid totters from lack of finance. –Again, the Wu Wei, but they don’t have to make it as bad as possible, either. No one has the slightest interest in promoting this real, cheap, tangible, proven solution because there’s no chokehold or boondoggle associated with it.

A waste of breath. He’s no longer in control of anything. Ignore them all.
