I just love that painting…
What struck me, even more so with the outskirts near Montmartre painting I used Feb 10, is that these spots are now the heart of the city, not the outskirts. And that in turn reminded me of the Scorsese movie The Age of Innocence, where at some point the view moves toward a farmhouse in the middle of nowhere countryside in Manhattan.
