In essence, agree with that stance.
On the other hand, since many humans are nasty, manipulative creatures that like to feel superior to others and like to try force others to conform to their unscientific (anti-scientific) preconceived narratives/opinions and to denigrate anyone who disagrees, it is good to be reminded of that fact that not all people are well-informed, kind and cooperative. Indeed, a substantial portion of any population is uninformed, stupid, manipulative, selfish, greedy and cowardly and yet potentially vicious.
In NATOstan countries people with those traits tend to congregate into politics and bureaucracies. And in a lot of non-NATOstan countries too.
But such traits are not confined to the scum that have risen to the top of the financial-political-power pyramid of Airstrips. Airstrips are riddled with such people at all levels.

Universities, corporations, activists used to also espouse a lot of patriotic values and slogans, but it’s not clear they were nationalists for ideological purposes. Maybe there’s a more cynical explanation here, along the lines of “fitting in” with a society to smooth over economic and political relations?
A person might also want to explore how the takeover of various corporations occurs as a result of (nation-state/transnational) intelligence activity, one goal being weaponized “Go woke, go broke” as a disruption of the inner culture and policies of rival corporations/nations to effect more chaotic, dysfunctional outcomes. Causing a rival to expend resources having to deal with social disruptions within the workforce is analogous with, say, shouting at an opponent in a high-pitched voice to disorient them or getting inside their heads and causing doubts, fears, and confusion. Of course, this is also analogous with, say, turning a person’s immune system against themselves in order to sabotage and disrupt them, weakening them and opening them up to all manner of obstacles and dangers, and thus removing them from play.
A hyperdimensional war with multiple front lines, fully involving contemporary awareness of not only nonlocality but nontemporality in physics, will result in oddities and disconcerting moves for the person who still conceives of war as strictly kinetic, maybe biological, hopefully never nuclear, but something that occurs at the other end of a trigger fingered by a madman. But, given that all these wars occur within the context of a material world subsisting upon an undivided unity of a total superposition of states, it’s wrong to limit one’s attention to just how bombs fall. Full Spectrum Dominance does not just stop at including “space” with land, air, and sea; consciousness as focusing of the noetic field —the Mind— is also part of the spectrum for military action. I know this is outlandish for someone to consider when it just makes sense to talk only about F-22s, Abrams tanks, S-400s, NOTAM activations over Michigan (after NOTAM mysteriously goes down all at once not long ago?), $21 trillion in missing DoD money, and so on. I know it’s easier to think that causality, like time’s arrow, is only ever one direction, since that’s all we ever know. Right? It’s probably better to just talk about the -isms of political theories, right up to the point of connecting neurolinguistic programming in the form of memetics with manipulations of mental focus and creative intentionality that used to be called “magic.”
(And yet, don’t you find it irresistible to think there’s still a stage magician lost from Kansas somewhere behind a curtain you cannot see, in that Emerald City all the dirty blond bricks lead to?)

Of course there is a gradient on the Right as well, although it’s completely misunderstood and in America virtually never goes to “Authoritarian” but only to “Libertarian”. There are some Right authoritarians but they seem wiped out after Iraq and virtually nonexistent right now. It only goes as far as “Status quo”, which is identical to the Biden/HRC actual position. The Uniparty, as we often complain. But there is zero far-right “The government should control and decide everything and we should obey them” party. This is a big problem because if it ever existed – barely – we’re now 20 years since then and yet there are accusations and behavior, that it exists, responses and explanations as if that thing that was never true is, half the country is accused of a thing they aren’t, and how they need to vigorously respond to a group and behavior that doesn’t exist at all. They’re shooting at smoke and shadows and as we’ve seen, that is dangerous as h—l. The Right isn’t going to fix things: that’s our job, the People. But they also don’t cause additional problems ‘cause we’ve got enough already.
We seem to be in a fully post-communist, but also post-capitalist phase. Obviously there is no “real communism” as the joke goes, but even the attempted Soviet communism doesn’t seem to exist anywhere. NoKo may be closest but with as little organic people’s support as they have, it’s almost in name only, like not a wooden Indian, but now a picture of a former wooden Indian. There are some attempts like Argentina, but they’re really no more than kleptocracies, both having businesses, and no earnest attempt at the people’s welfare.
Capitalism is scarcely different, being regulated within an inch of its life worldwide, such that the government has co-equal power over it almost everywhere, and business buying government to insure all actions. Whether that is better or not, it’s not in the range of “Capitalism”, and monopolies are the order of the day nearly everywhere, universally upheld with government force. Along with no bankruptcy and no honest market pricing, and there is no “Capitalism” remaining. Try to open a taco stand by the park or bake a cake in your garage and it’s clap-irons for you.
So we are post-both, and both sides have done a sort of merger in the middle, very similar to each other: everyone against the people. As Acton said, “The Banks against the People”?
I wouldn’t be overly hard on people who took or support the vax as this was truly the greatest op in world history, eclipsing D-Day by 1000x. It’s also counterproductive or can be. Sure some people can be reached with kindness, yet some can only be reached with a smack to the head. (Me, sometimes) So we have different ways and different recipients. That’s okay. Marxism is a way of looking at the class-based structure of the world and the ownership and control of the means of production. “Marxism” is not a synonym for “tyrannical” even if some so-called Marxist governments have turned out to be tyrannical. Plenty of capitalistic societies are also ruled by tyrants.
There is no way Klaus Schwab is a Marxist, since he is very much in favor of the capitalist system and is a billionaire himself. Likewise Gates, etc. They may be borrowing some left-sounding (and woke-sounding) rhetoric, but that doesn’t mean they are Marxists.

It isn’t totally useless to say “THEY aren’t marxists/communists/socialists”
I mean, you can draw a line from Marx & Engels through the western universities to the current wokeism. Not a dotted line, either.
But delineating distinctions – who ISN’T truly that, WHEN did it break off, WHICH things, ideas, people,organizations, governments, books, etc aren’t and which truly are – why – would be neccessary
because there’s a large crowd of academics as well as activists and others with a continuity of ideas stretching back for decades, as well as consistent messaging, claims of what they are, and so on.
Like, it would take some work to really draw those distinctions meaningfully but could be useful or at least interesting.
The current New Thinking definitely goes back through 100+ years of Marxism. For example, when the USSR annexed Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia, what did they do? Disbanded the police and replaced them with marxist militias. And what did we see in 2020? Disband the police. Police stations getting abandoned or even burned down. Police-free zones set up run by marxist militias ala CHAZ/CHOP in every major city in the US. Why so super-similar?
