Aaaaaaaaand, Poland. We’re about to kill them all:

“Biden Announces Permanent US Base In Poland, America’s First On NATO Eastern Flank”

Goooo, Poland! Die for Hunter’s meth dealer. Die, Die!

“Biden says high gas prices will continue ‘as long as it takes’ to defeat Russia’s invasion of Ukraine” –Yahoo News.

High prices = high profits for Putin, but nevermind that. You’re going to suffer for as long as it takes. We’re going to send all of your money to Eastern European oligarchs for as long as it takes. …For as long as it takes to BREAK you. Until you DIE. Everyone from Elizabethtown to Sacramento, and half the people on the coastal cities too.

“The way to crush the bourgeoisie is to grind them between the millstones of taxation and inflation.” – V. Lenin

It will make the Reset easier, or even possible. We’ll only take it if the entire middle class is destitute and desperate. People with property don’t want socialism. They don’t want YOU to own THEIR property while they own nothing.

“Biden Announces Support for Ending the Filibuster to Pass Pro-Abortion Legislation”

Uh, Biden doesn’t run the filibuster. He has literally nothing to do with it. Maybe he’d like to call the morning lineup for the Baltimore Ravens too. But like Idiocracy if nobody knows what a “President” does, then he’ll do whatever you let him.

US, UK Unveil a Combined $2BN More in Ukraine Security Aid, Including “Offensive” Weapons”

Headed to $60B. Since the CIA is mostly black-budget and we found out they are mostly there, are we at $80B? $100B? $500B using their illegal drug-trafficking money? We will make YOU sacrifice forever, whatever it takes for our 51st state to restore her corruption for Hunter. Gas $20/gal here we come, no price is too high, no sacrifice is too great (for YOU to pay. I’ll have my limo drive to my beachside mansion).

Following yesterday, Luongo extends the idea.

So they were trying to deplete Russia, industrially. Okay, yes. Why? Because they thought that, like us, Russia would only use ultra-high-tech, rare-earth, billion dollar weapons. You know, like morons in America do. So THAT’S why they shut off sanctions, to keep them from getting chips and super-rare, fragile components for their hypersonic missiles, maybe the machines that MAKE the hypersonic missiles. Russia would be helpless. Like us.

What happens when Russia uses WWII-era artillery technology instead? Russia isn’t depleted, it gets STRONGER, as she is building more factories and smoothing supply chains for this war material that works. Total fail. But the West only promotes failure, so that’s no surprise.

But there’s a flip side: Russia has exposed the WEST now has no industrial capacity whatsoever. Zero tank production, ZERO anti-tank production, near-zero howitzer production, no shells. Germany won’t even send rifles. …And not like this is an issue with no one left in Ukr to use them, but…

So rather than the West grinding down and hollowing out Russia, it’s the other way around. As we have no factories, no railways, no mines, Russia has hollowed US out in just 100 days. We are industrially incapable of fighting a war. Ever. Not for decades. Now this isn’t smacking us in the face yet, but at this point if I know it, every captain, colonel, general, knows it. The relevant CEO’s know it. And China, Brazil, and outer Mongolia know it. Peru could beat the United States right now in our condition. And are. They’re invading by the millions into Texas already.

This goes further. As we all said at the time, Bush’s foray into a total world war of conquest (“What are we doing today Pinkie? Trying to take over the world.”) Obama’s adding 15 new wars have shattered the United States and their readiness. Also the willingness of our all-volunteer army, now wearing high heels and rainbows. But we’re talking industrially.

The U.S. and West are so depleted we no longer train. One of our huge strengths, like the flight hours of our jet pilots. That is, back in Reagan let’s say, we were prepped for a “Land War in Asia” massive European tank battles against Russia. But these guys are so many hundred years old, they think we’re still like that. We haven’t been like that for DECADES. We don’t have tanks, clearly, we don’t have APCs, we clearly don’t have the depth to move them even if we did, but we’re also so broke we’re not even training our men in their use. Too busy with pronoun videos. Why? Sending 50,000 to Lithuania and merging our men for war games is really, really expensive. And then those men clock out a year or two after you train them. So we don’t do that anymore.

That long, repetative article from the Polish general on the NATO meeting in Spain demonstrates. NATO has hundred thousand men on tap. NONE have been activated, moved, supported, armed up. Not a single person has been moved. That is, NATO HAS DONE NOTHING. They only talk. What’s the point of a Nato – which exists solely to stop Russia – if Russia attacks the largest country in Europe and NATO does nothing for nobody? Won’t pop a tent, turn on a light bulb? What then, because they didn’t pre-activate, clearly Russia can take a comatose Romania, Lithuania, Estonia, even Poland. Because Poland isn’t activated. “Being activated” takes money. So there is no “Pay NATO to stop Russia”, because they didn’t lift a finger to stop Russia. Germany won’t send strudel, nevermind mortars.

But the West is going to send “Money”. Well their “money” isn’t activating their military, so what’s the point? “Money” isn’t an “Army.” Ah, and that’s my next point: So if you activate an army, the combined armies of say Poland, Germany, a little France and England just to brush up, train, and position to the potential front, it takes food, right? 200,000 men is 200,000 mouths. Put in cans, mailed to the base.

Go further: 200,000 men moving is 200,000 DRIVERS. At 10mpg. Moving that army isn’t just that money isn’t “things”, EVEN CALLING READINESS WOULD DRAIN EVERY GALLON IN EUROPE. There would be no petrol remaining for the population, instantly. They are so industrially depleted, they cannot even make a minor foray into readiness. If they did EVERY CIVILIAN IN EUROPE WOULD KNOW they not only can’t fight a war, they can’t even fight a peace.

“It takes a staggering amount of energy to fight a sustained war. The West is at the mercy of Russia to get that energy.

Ultimately without energy or the money to procure or produce it, there is no real conventional war. Industrial warfare having returned, as is the premise of the RUSI article, has already determined the outcome in Ukraine.” – Luongo.

So like WWII, we’re going to build a new oil tanker every day and fill it with Texas oil to send to Europe? Hahahahaahaha! We couldn’t build ONE. NOR can we fill them. Europe’s war energy comes from RUSSIA. Every gallon.

We said this in broad strokes, but highlighting the details is also illuminating.

So, no food, no energy, Europe does this: “Dutch Farmers Livid Over EU’s ‘Green’ Nitrogen Rule Block Border Between Holland And Germany: “The Minister of Nature and Nitrogen Policy expects about a third of the 50,000 Dutch farms to ‘disappear’ by 2030…”

They still want LESS oil, LESS food. Clearly if people are eating at all, we still have too much. Shut more farms. Stop more fertilizer. Close more plants and pipelines.

“[Obama] had the EPA step in with newly discovered authority to force states to cut … power plants.” Yes, like that.

“Biden Has Weaponized the FBI And DOJ Against His Political Opponents (HE)”

Sadly, no, Hoover started it. It was the purpose of creating the FBI in the first place. Illegally harassing my political enemies is Job 1. Otherwise, what’s the point of even having a government, really? Power exists to do the #Opposite of the right and natural thing, because if it was going to happen anyway as a natural order, you wouldn’t need to pay to have it done. As the Tao te Ching says.

    Roe warning:

It’s fair enough that we do not know the mysteries of life. If all things are alive, life neither begins nor ends anywhere. But that’s a cop out that doesn’t guide anyone. The tangibles or realities are not uniform and cannot be encoded. Nor quite possibly known to anyone, experts, nor even the participants themselves. And in that unknowing state can still wound you fatally.

Worse, as we don’t know, containing this, outlawing this, would require * Permission * and review from the state, one which is terrible at everything AND can’t move in months, years, decades, much less give you a solid judicial review in the 48 hours you essentially have in that situation.

So it’s not like I think I know anything here. I just know if you don’t want a problem, don’t make one. Avoid that first. We were told if there were far greater, un-repressed sexuality, we would then talk and be open about pregnancy, birth, birth control, and in that state there would be practically no need for abortion. It was all the Christian Conservative uptight repression that actually was the cause of it all. And so we all tried it, but it turned out the opposite was true. All these mistakes and tragic events turned out to be 10, 100, 1000 times more common under an unrepressed, rule-free sexuality, just like poppa/grandpa (or my grandma) said in 1960. Every word, every warning was realized, in fact, they wildly undersold it. Both THAT these things would happen AND the family/life tragedies it would cause. Undersold the dangers by orders of magnitude. 25 million dead in just 50 years? A million more each year now? That’s 1 in 150 since half the nation claim to be men.

So what to do? To me of course it’s always social, because like everyone else in America, I don’t follow the law. It’s just some hazy suggestion nobody follows: not the rich, and not the poor. So legalizing/un-legalizing means nothing to me…or anybody else. It’s up to us. So what will we do? Admit we’re on a bad road of madness and death? Or just keep going?

Phoenix, “God has left it up to the woman to be in charge of the unborn”.

No fathers then. Glad to hear it. Mothers don’t need me for anything, so I’ll be ramblin’ on my way.

…Unless you DO want me for something. In which case, it’s left up to both of us, not one alone is in charge.

In fact, would you not say the greater family(s), even society has responsibility, since it may fall on them as well? Therefore they should have some say since they’re the ones who will have to pay? Then the circle of who is “in charge”, who has rights or responsibilities begins to widen.

I agree with the Quickening, as life accrues on this possibility. Problem is, we have no method of telling if, when, or how. “The Quickening” is when the SOUL attaches to the embryo. What’s a soul? Do we have a soul-meter, a soul-test?

They might say life starts at conception, but fertilization may not implant. So a pregnancy vanishes and no one knows. Maybe at implantation, but perhaps they un-implant more often than we know. This is what women mean when they say it’s a clump of cells, don’t make too much of it. Let’s say at day 1 conception we are closest possible to being not-alive. At 270 days we are positively, very sure it is “alive.” After they’re elected to Congress, no one’s sure, we suspect neither alive nor having a soul. I can work with soft uncertainties like this. However, the law cannot. But the law cannot, but also can’t get out of its own way either?

In this case perhaps we can err on the side of love, support, and life, no? Again, why is “Law”, “Government” your answer to everything?

George Washington Carver, “eight cardinal virtues” whose possession defines “a lady or a gentleman”:

Be clean both inside and out.
Who neither looks up to the rich nor down on the poor.
Who loses, if needs be, without squealing.
    Who wins without bragging.
Who is always considerate of women, children and old people.
Who is too brave to lie.
Who is too generous to cheat.
Who take his share of the world and lets other people have theirs.”

You could say Dutch farmers have taken over from Canadian truckers. Only, they have a much longer tradition of protesting. And I see in the news that the police recognize they can do nothing about tractors. One, sure, but 1,000s? Footage of one guy taking a sledgehammer to a police van, and PM Rutte solemnly declares he won’t talk to people who take sledgehammers to police vans. Be careful! You just implied you will talk to all the others! Farmers now on their way to block Amsterdam airport. We won’t let them! Really, what are you going to do? Block 1,000s of tractors anyway?

The issue is the gov’t wants to close 1,000s of farms (1/3 of the total?!) because of nitrogen emissions. Now, maybe someone can fill me in, but this EU graph says they emit about 1% of the total. How does this make sense?

The corporate state, digital conglomerates, and the mainstream media want to ensure that they have the exclusive authority to dictate people’s opinions, wants, and choices through their sophisticated propaganda techniques. To do so, they have even resorted to transforming falsehoods into truth. In fact, the word truth has already had its original meaning altered, as those who speak the truth on certain subjects are now regularly accused of spreading hate speech, misinformation, and disinformation.

They say that one should never attribute to malice that which can be explained by simple incompetence, but it’s becoming very hard indeed to avoid the conclusion that we are witnessing the execution of a deliberate and globally coordinated plan to create shortages of energy, fertilizer, food and other population-sustaining essentials.

How can it really be that the politicians in the Netherlands can survey the current world situation and decide that the most important thing to do right now is hamstring their own food producers? Can it really be explained by incompetence?

Maxwell Quest said about a dream:
“The understanding I received from this dream was that the people below represented my 25,000 human incarnations, and all 25,000 were still living inside me as various aspects, making me truly a collective being with numerous internal relationships. There was more to extract from the dream imagery, of course, but this was the part pertinent to the quote above.”

WES had a series of falling dreams and awoke just before he hit. I had this dream clinbing up a spiral stripe mountain, like a barber-pole, then falling from the top towards an ocean below, and awakening just before I hit, as I was awakening from appendectomy surgery right after my fourth birthday. I recall it all clearly, somehow.

Does it matter how many lives “I” have lived myself, if I am no more separate from those who now live, than I am from “myself” in past (and future) incarnations?

It’s hard to be sure, isn’t it?

@RIM: Dutch farms are so very neat and tidy and well kept, and make such excelent produce. We biked from Amsterdam to Munich on “the trip” in 2005-2006.
I think the Dutch really respect reasonableness in their order, not rigidity, and they often deride the Germans for rigid order, which is, indeed, not more orderly than elegant Dutch order, to a visitor.
(Germans spray liquified pig-shit on the fields from tanker trucks. MAN! Bike through that…)

I lend my vague best-wishes to Dutch farmers, based upon this snapshot of observations while slowly passing through 17 years ago.

We were well aware of Dr. Zelenko’s effective COVID-early-treatment protocol here at TAE from March 2020. China announced the effectiveness of chloroquine and HCQ in February 2020, and Dr. Zelenko added aithromycin and zinc, as well as vitamin-D, with steroids later, if lung inflammation progressed.
TAE posted this picture from my 3/2/20 blog, telling Tulsi Gabbard about HCQ to treat Americans.

If most voters write in “Nobody” for president, can we go without an executive branch for a while, and force congress to take some responsibility?
Those video clips from J6 were not from any cameras I recall from the day- which I watched on CSPAN. As they have discussed J6 on Washington Journal, the same chaotic few minutes are shown dozens of times in a half-hour- I was reminded of S11.

Shut down Schiphol? Impressive. What else can they do? The government wants a third of the food disappeared. The alternate press really needs a way to get to the sleeping masses. Could they really ignore their “leadership” wanting to starve them? (Or that their leadership somehow knows that a third of them won’t be around, anyway?)
What to do when the “brain” is masochistic, but the “body” isn’t?

Hey- has substack changed? I can’t seem to access comments on the websites, and I have to read the body of the post by hitting “archives” instead of “let me read it first”.

    Dr. Zelenko. Bless him.

Trickle Down Inflation post is up, with progress on kitchen cabinetry shown, and that shirt Tulsi liked again.
    https://drjohnsblog.substack.com/p/trickle-down-inflation

Michael Hudson has a new interview out, with a transcript, which is long, brilliant, but mostly in flashes of brilliance which are hard to capture without all of the other things being said. I’ll try to restate some of the points he makes.
Inflation is not as it is modeled in economics classes, but economists have to pretend that it is a battle between paying workers too much and imposing unemployment on them to reduce wages. (Otherwise economists don’t get a paycheck.)
A statistic is quoted in the question that 58% of inflation comes from corporate (rentier) profits. Hudson does not dispute that, but points out that only 8% of corporate profits are recycled into productive investments, 92% go into things like stock buybacks and offshoring of funds to hide “profits”, because no successful company has profits any more.
Profits are taxable. Hudson points out several mechanisms to eliminate rentier-value-extraction loopholes, which would make productive investments better by comparison. Right now, the western business model is to extract value as profit, both “at home” and abroad, which whittles productive industry down at home, and extracts value from countries abroad, value they cannot invest in infrastructure or serving the needs of their citizens. Stock buybacks at home make capital-gains, while gutting productive capacity. Abroad, the model is to lend at high interest, then foreclose on the factory or other assets when they can’t pay the loan. Not-paying-the-loan is a gift from the Fed, which jacks up interest rates just going into economic downturns and makes things like the Asian Economic Crisis.
This cycle is just going into that default-asset-stripping phase, and should be a doozie, unless all of the debtor-countries default and join Russia, China, BRICS, Eurasian Economic Union and friends.
This never happened before (1978), but it is finally possible for it to happen this time because there is a critical mass of economies , resources and production that would benefit from defaulting on $US debt and joining a new system, with Equity Investment, not financial asset-stripping, enforced by US/NATO., and they’ve spent 14 years quietly preparing. They are going to use each other’s money, gold, and commodities like oil and sugar to back their new trade currency.
    Pass the popcorn, please.!
Trickle down inflation has been happening when central banks make trillions of dollars of loans at negative real interest rates to big financial institutions that have been robbing everybody right and left and still going bankrupt because that is their strong point and they are really way more corrupt than that internally.
The trillions of dollars of give-away money, and buying up all of the junk mortgages for trillions more, so the prices stay high, and the pretending can go on.
Eventually this makes prices of real things go high and stay high, like $600,000 houses that were $15,000 houses when they were built, and really need some repairs. Can’t really afford to buy the house we evicted you from? We’ll just rent it to you, until we have to evict you again.
That’s the miracle of trickle-down inflation. Putting people out of jobs won’t fix this kind of inflation, because the big money goes to the big players who are not just not-making stuff, but making everybody else stop-making-stuff.
More money, and less stuff is inflation, and this is the new way it happens.
All of the western retirement investments are in this snake-eating-itself economy.
The Ponzi keeps working as long as there is enough faith in the system to keep the funds and imports coming in from the whole world.
    (“!0, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, ….”)
“Equity Investing” is the competing system. The lender takes a stake in the project, and does well when the project does well. The lender does not take everything and sell it if the project has a slow start or a bad year. This is actually “moral”. “Economics” used to be taught under “Morality Studies150 years ago. How Quaint! Even that weird relic “Islamic Finance” considers this to be the ideally moral form of lending. No wonder Iran wants to join up.
Saudi Arabia won’t get suckered like that, will they? Will they? (What’s the counter-offer, President Joe?)

Michael Hudson interviewed by Ben Norton (Multipolarista) Update with transcript

Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov gave a talk at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. I’ve picked out 2 statements.
(This first statement says that they have gotten the framework set to bypass dollar trade, and need to implement it with each country putting in national currency.)
A firm basis has been created for promoting economic interaction within the SCO. It is necessary to work hard to put the existing plans into practice and implement concrete measures intended to ensure food, transport and energy security, develop remote and rural territories, strengthen inter-regional ties, carry out digital transformation, and introduce high technologies and innovations. It will be of use to approve, as expected, a roadmap on increasing the share of national currencies in mutual payments...
(This statement appears to say that they have the vast legal and contractual framework already worked out. That has been a lot of work.)
A vast legal and contractual infrastructure, a huge human and resource potential, multilevel practical mechanisms and the accumulated rich experience of multifaceted cooperation remain a guarantee of the SCO’s further strengthening.
(Here Lavrov lists the membership-rules-of-engagement of the newer, more egalitarian world order. This is statist/nationalist. “Mind your own business!”)
Amid the continuing tectonic shifts in world politics and the economy, our Organisation can and must become one of the core elements of a new, more just and democratic polycentric world order based on the UN Charter, the principles of sovereign equality of all states, non-interference in internal affairs, and equal and indivisible security.

Sergey Lavrov: Roundtable discussion SCO Treaties

Law In A Multipolar World, Vladimir Putin: Address to Plenary Session, 10th St Petersburg International Legal Forum. (Excerpted)
Participants at the St Petersburg International Economic Forum recently discussed the most relevant political, financial, technological and cultural issues on the global agenda; many of these issues directly related to international law. It is important that you continue this conversation within this forum and discuss important topics like Law in a Multipolar World.
It is true, a multipolar system of international relations is now being formed. It is an irreversible process; it is happening before our eyes and is objective in nature. The position of Russia and many other countries is that this democratic, more just world order should be built on the basis of mutual respect and trust, and, of course, on the generally accepted principles of international law and the UN Charter.
At the same time, it is being said that law cannot adequately respond to the problems and challenges of today, to today’s turbulent and fundamental changes. There are also more radical assessments that the idea of international law is being dismantled. I fundamentally disagree with these conclusions...
..Crises happen not because law is faulty, but because of attempts to replace law with dictate, and international standards with the national jurisdiction of certain states or groups of states in a deliberate refusal to follow essential legal principles – justice, conscientiousness, equality and humanity…
(Neoliberal financial colonialism and piracy must go!)
..Some states are not ready to accept losing their supremacy on the international stage, and they are striving to preserve the unjust unipolar model. Under the guise of what they call order based on rules, and other questionable concepts, they try to control and direct global processes at their own discretion, and hold to a course of creating closed blocs and coalitions that make decisions for the benefit of one country, the United States of America. The natural rights of others in international relations are being ignored; the fundamental principle of indivisibility of security is being used selectively. The West’s unilateral, illegitimate sanctions against sovereign states have reached an unprecedented scale.
I will add that the countries that advocate their own exceptionalism also overstep the law and cross out such concepts as inviolability of property and freedom of speech in their own domestic policy as well…
..We are focused on joining efforts on crucial issues like the climate agenda, fighting famine, providing stability in food and energy markets, and fair rules in international trade and competition.
All of these areas require appropriate and flexible legal regulation and meticulous cooperation…
(Historically, legal frameworks are good for a couple of generations, then get degraded when the founders pass away.)
..I am confident that, by consistently following international law and joining our efforts, it is possible to resolve the most difficult problems that the world is facing and to provide for the stable, sustainable and progressive development of all states.

After a generation, I personally expect China to approach “more equal” status in this new multipolar order, as the US did after WW-2/Bretton-Woods.
China Daily: BRICS steering development into new era
BRICS provides an alternative mode of financing for development, is a platform for South-South cooperation, a game changer in the North-South dialogue, and a balancing mechanism in the context of building a fair global economic order.
The just-concluded BRICS Summit, chaired by China, was the 14th since 2009...
..The NDB (National Development Bank), the “BRICS Plus” mechanism and the inclusion of new members are three significant directions for the future development of BRICS.
The NDB, a core part of the BRICS mechanism, has turned a forum into an institution. The NDB does not impose harsh conditions while providing infrastructure financing for the member states or other emerging market and developing economies. Internally, the NDB is a platform for better integration of resources of the BRICS countries, enlarging the effect of investments. Externally, the NDB brings the member states and other developing countries closer, and promotes mutual development...
..This year is ideal to talk BRICS’ expansion, because it’s been five years since (“most equal”?) China proposed to start the expansion process. Although explorations and procedures continue, unofficially the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Nigeria, Senegal, Kazakhstan, Indonesia, Argentina and Thailand are among the countries that could join the grouping.

The Ex Post Facto Mindset of the Predator, The Ethical Skeptic (These mechanisms appear to hold well for narcissists, too: Trudeau, Biden, Macron, BoJo, etc. They just can’t back down until there is some big excuse that makes them “victims”.)
The predator does not think in terms of what actions will serve to clarify, add value, nor alleviate suffering or risk (ethical skepticism). The pathological predator (fake skeptic, debunker, troll, stalker, virtue signaler, pedophile, groomer, exploiter, thief, abuser, poison purveyor, science poseur, and Party apparatchik) thinks in terms of weakness and identifying a party whom they can harm. The sociopath predator allows a third-party agency which co-occupies their mind, to dictate their thinking for them – egging them onward and simultaneously then accusing and justifying them thereafter. Picture this : A dozen highly trained professional war fighting specialist “Advisors” . . . . .( financed, equipped, transported, supplied and coordinated by NATO countries ) . . . . huddled around a teenaged conscripted Ukrainian teenager instructing him to fire a NATO provided weapon that is loaded with NATO ammunition and directed by NATO satellite systems towards a civilian occupied target in the Donbas.

Sure looks like “”Ukraine” vs Russia to me.

Yes, this is as stupid as we have become. Ukraine claims age-old school Russian/Polish dishes as their own. I betcha the origin is Jewish to boot.

Beet this: Ukraine wins fight to protect borshch soup

The UN’s cultural agency on Friday inscribed the culture surrounding beetroot soup known as borshch in Ukraine on its list of endangered cultural heritage, a recognition sought urgently by Kviv after its invasion by neighbouring Russia.

Ukraine prizes borshch, a nourishing soup with beetroot as its base, as a national dish even though it is also widely enjoyed in Russia, other ex-Soviet countries and Poland.

The Ukrainian culture of borshch cooking “was today inscribed on UNESCO’s list of intangible cultural heritage in need of urgent safeguarding,” by a UNESCO committee, it said.

The decision was approved after a fast-track process prompted by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the “negative impact on this tradition” caused by the war, the agency said.

“People are unable not only to cook or grow local vegetables for borsht, but also to come together” to eat it, “which undermines the social and cultural well-being of communities,” it said, using one of several alternative spellings for the soup.

Rationing Has Already Started In Europe As The Entire Globe Plunges Into A Horrific Economic Nightmare

The attempt to impose communism/collectivism on unwilling populations has always advertised itself by the intentional or incompetent creation of mass starvation and death. This has become such a reliable indicator that it is reason enough all by itself to oppose such systems.

    Dr D
“ No fathers then. Glad to hear it”

You sound like a communist — community and collective interests prevail over the individual!

You are confounding the point. Gestating women have the unborn housed within their bodies. Gestating women retain bodily autonomy, they do not become the chattel of the father, nor the chattel of the government, nor the chattel of the community. Men and non-gestating women have bodily autonomy (unless they are incapacitated/unable to exercise autonomy.)

Fathers, families, and communities are obligated to support both gestating women, children, and adults who are raising children: this is a separate issue from the bodily autonomy that all mentally capable adults retain at all times. (Obviously, a vegetative adult or Joe Biden should not be making this decision. Children should have varying degrees of bodily autonomy as well, although the specifics are worked out between the children and their parents/caretakers.)

I *LOATHE* elective abortion, but the idea that I could become pregnant and lose bodily autonomy is both horrifying and unethical. It is as horrifying as being jabbed with an anti-Covid shot “for the good of the community” against my will. I don’t need the government nor my community telling me what to do in a given situation should I become pregnant — I am fully capable and competent to seek out appropriate advisors and make my own decisions, based upon my own life situation and my own moral compass.

I respect the right of all women to make these decisions for themselves and the unborn that may be within them. I recognize that I may disagree with the decisions that other women make regarding the unborn. I have two elderly friends that have had “tut-tutting” conversations about me because I did not “support my community” and get a Covid jab.

    Dr D:
It is only by granting gestating women bodily autonomy that you recognize that they are independent beings, with capable minds and hearts, just as your own heart and mind are capable. Once this is done, then you may offer your support so that they have the confidence that they will be supported in whatever way they need in order to give birth and then raise or adopt out the child. It sounds to me like you are terrified that some women will not act in the way you feel is correct, and so you desire using “the long arm of the law” to bring their behavior in line with your views of right and wrong.

The Constitution didn’t address abortion, and there were abortions then.
The Ten Commandments didn’t address abortion, and there were abortions then.
Abortions would have fallen under “property law”, not murder.
    Women are no longer property.

Interesting you would say that. The history of the US clearly records that white women in the US were legally allowed abortions (up to the point of “quickening”; i.e., feeling the fetus move within the womb, at about 15 – 20 weeks after conception) until some individual states began to outlaw abortion. Most states started with laws that made it illegal to have an abortion after the quickening. These laws started going into effect in the 1820’s – 1860’s. Gradually, some states added laws to make abortions illegal at any point, except to save the life of the mother. Abortions were considered “common law” until then, both in the US and England; common law being a term that basically means “the body of unwritten laws based on legal precedents established by the courts”.

But abortions were not allowed for black women even while they were legal for white women. And that was because of property laws – black women were considered “property” and they were deemed to be depriving their white owners of his “property” by aborting one of his future slaves.

I’m pretty sure you already knew all that, which is why you wrote the comment, but I wanted to add some details for others who might not be aware that in fact abortions were related to property laws.

    ges·ta·tion
    /jeˈstāSH(ə)n/
    noun
the process of carrying or being carried in the womb between conception and birth.
Similar: pregnancy, development, incubation, maturation, ripening, gravidity, parturiency,
the development of something over a period of time.

So when does this little *thing* which is connected to it’s mother via an umbilical cord, floating in an amniotic sack and carried in the womb of its mother become separate and an “independent being’ ? And start to have RIGHTS of it’s own?? Asking for a friend.

“Bodily autonomy” seems like such righteous middle class virtue to me. Entitlement. I don’t know much but I do know that reading your rant makes me sick to my stomach for some reason.

    As a post script…
As I drive home to Arizona, I realize that due to the recent Supreme Court ruling I *do* lose a degree of bodily autonomy the moment I become pregnant as long as I am located physically within the state of Arizona.

Abortion in AZ is now controlled by a law that predates Arizona statehood by 11 years, and goes back to 1901. The law predates women’s suffrage. Abortion is only legal if the woman’s life is threatened by the pregnancy. Any provider who aids with abortion — including prescribing chemicals, “the morning after pill,” etc. — can be sentenced 2-5 years in prison. There are no exceptions for rape or incest — now, in Arizona, raped women must carry the pregnancy and may not take “the morning after pill” to avoid implantation of the embryo.

Sounds like the perfect way to bring up unwanted children. Whatever damage being unwanted brings to that child will last their lifetimes and more than likely be passed on to countless others having relationships with them. Talk about sowing the wind. Just an opinion.

I have the utmost respect for the unborn. From the moment I knew I was carrying new life within me, I knew that I carried a sacred responsibility within me. It was up to me to see the babes safely into the world. I sought out quality prenatal care to assist me with both of my “high risk” pregnancies.
I also see motherhood/parenthood as a sacred responsibility.

But I cannot dictate to other women how to view pregnancy nor what to do about it. Life has taught me some very cruel lessons about how difficult it is to raise children, especially when one parent decides not to fulfill his parental obligations fully. I have lived on the edge for the last 10 years because of this.

Children do not have much in the way of “rights of their own.” Children’s parents are their legal advocates, making decisions about vaccines, medical procedures, schools, religious training, etc. Children do not have full rights of their own until age 18. I do not propose that a fetus has no rights; it is my view that the woman who houses the fetus is the one who is responsible for safeguarding the rights of the fetus. If you do not want us to live in a world where women choose elective abortions then create a world where it is not necessary.

Regarding rationing in Europe, and how long till it spreads to US — it is already here somewhat. The grocery store in Vail, CO is limiting purchases of feminine sanitary products to two packages per customer. It isn’t government mandated…yet.

“..it is NATO that is a “systemic challenge to world peace and stability” and its “hands are stained with the blood of the world’s people.”

China is just as bad, the difference is that they killed millions of their own and continue to terrorise their people. The Escobar delusion that China is this wonderful Nirvana needs to be tempered with a bit of reality. The reality is that the people of China still see escape from China as the biggest benefit they can give to their families: the one thing that unites almost all Chinese is that their life’s mission is to escape. The Shanghai lockdowns just add more fuel to that Chinese instinct. The Chinese know that their entire family wealth can be taken away from them by the government, they have seen this happen to others and live in fear of the same happening to them. You wonder why they don’t rebel, the reason is that they know their families will then starve and they will be on the streets. The Chinese are still escaping to Canada, UK, USA in arge numbers, despite all the crazy death throws of the western world.

How can it really be that the politicians in the Netherlands can survey the current world situation and decide that the most important thing to do right now is hamstring their own food producers? Can it really be explained by incompetence?

The recent decisions of politicians – Covid onwards – reveals to me that the corner of society that is home to politicians sees corruption as the norm: the social pressure is corruption. That part of society expects a politician to obey their financial owners and discard any thoughts of voters, country etc. Even at election time the campaigns are for the party, thereby obscuring the behaviour of the individual politicians who sold their electorate down the river. This is now extreme, you can see very little hesitancy within the political classes when they decide to screw their voters, no shame, it is what their peers expect.

Women don’t just “become pregnant and lose bodily autonomy”, ridiculous. The woman makes a decision to try to become pregnant – or to risk getting pregnant – and in doing so she takes on a responsibility. She is the most involved at the start of the process, so it appears as if she is losing her autonomy, but the man’s turn will come in time. You are advocating for the woman to then be able to abandon that responsibility.

The comparison with mandated vaccination is cheap, this is not the same thing at all and I am sure you know it: mandated rape is the equivalent of mandated jabs. An equivalent would be for women to demand to be able to be unjabbed.

Should the woman, having taken on such a significant responsibility, be permitted to discard that commitment? I am against that option personally for the reason that to be a responsible adult you need to live up to your commitments and not use obscuration of known reality as an excuse for being irresponsible. The known reality is that conception is when the process begins. As Dr D stated, this does not guarantee success, but it is definitely the point in time when all the needed components come together, after which only nourishment and environment are needed to enable the embryo grow into a fetus.

The other side of the coin is whether society has a right to expect a woman to live up to her commitments? Is that taking too much freedom from the woman?

My biggest angst with the abortion debate is the stream of excuses used to justify killing the embryo and allowing the woman to cop out. People are mostly hugely disappointing and can be very nasty, as we have seen in the Covid anti-vax open hostility. To expect a woman to be an angel is unreasonable, but to pretend that this is not killing another human or maybe the human does not yet have a soul is self delusion.
