Such exravagant demands divorced from reality don’t spring from any will to end the conflict, save lives, cross-border commerce, international relations, but rather are clarioned to signal that ‘the conflict’ will end only when the ‘Collective West’ decides it will quit and withdraw after having done as much damage as possible.
If it takes 10 (or 5…) dead Ukrainians to kill one Russian, it is worth it. In any case Slav lives are of no account.
The Collective West, the USA as main driver, when it decides the end of this operation, will just leave the UKR theatre (see Afgh, Lybia, Syria is more complicated) to its fate, and big Cos. who are active there, and btw already own a lot of the land etc., they will take it over, with a puppet Gvmt. in place.

I do not believe that failing to teach today’s children about how to use an analog phone or phone book is a failure of education. To teach them how to use such items would be anachronistic and a waste of time. Cursive is a different issue — failing to teach children cursive is about controlling and curating the current generation’s access to source documents of the past.
Where I see a huge failure of today’s education is failing to teach kids how to use TODAY’s technology. In the past couple of years I am consistently running across 20-somethings who profess to know almost nothing about how to use a personal computer. Just a couple of days ago, I called a new retirement home telling the receptionist that I teach technology and music classes to seniors, and the receptionist told me that *she* could use technology classes. For another retirement community, the (young-sounding) activities director explained that while she had tried helping seniors with their smartphones, they had also asked for help with their laptops, and she didn’t feel like she knew enough to help them. I have run across a newly minted nurse practitioner with a MacBook, who didn’t feel like she knew how to use her own laptop.
The powers that be seem to prefer “end users” who are technologically stupid and anxious about “messing things up” on their technological devices.
On a side note, I sat with one of my sons yesterday as he opened his first bank account. The legal user agreement for the bank’s smartphone app was tremendously long. I walked him through scrolling through the entire document on his phone, suggesting that it was wise to at least look it over and be familiar with its provisions, noting sections that were not currently relevant, but that should be looked at before using those relevant capabilities of the app. (i.e. review the rules around bill pay in detail before utilizing that feature, etc.). The banker helping us with the new account process was very patient, noting that “no one does this.” Damn straight! I will teach my son not to be cajoled and bullied into blithely signing any document put in front of him.

When I thought about the issue of ‘trans’ I realised there was a single underlying theme : the elimination of women! [Not literally]
It attacks the few areas where women can stand out such as sports and ‘women of the year’ awards and even as ‘mothers’. The word ‘woman’ is being phased out in favour of ludicrous alternatives. A lesbian wrote that in her area bars and cafes were refusing to serve them as they are all somehow ‘transphobic’.
This appears orchestrated.
There is only one area which can have this power – social media. Some time ago it was found that Facebook had successfully experimented with modifying beliefs and attitudes. Is this another ‘experiment’?
Humans are easily programmed – tell them what to believe and they will believe it AND will aggressively attack those who don’t believe it. I suspect the latter is the main appeal – the excuse to be aggressive in ways that would otherwise be unacceptable.
It explains a lot if this is thought of as the basic reason for trans-activism with anything else just being window dressing.
A safe and dependable rule of thumb is to assume, with prejudice, that everything that comes to you from the government (be it money, information, control or law) is either a direct lie or is based on a lie designed to empower the government by taking something from you.
The above statement should be (and probably has been, somewhere at some time) carved in stone and placed in the middle of the town square. It should always be considered true in each case until proven otherwise in each case.
Every single person who works for government, or works on it’s behalf in any way whatsoever gets that money and/or that authority by taking it away from you. In other words, their interests are being served at your expense. There may or may not be some meaningful return service to you, usually not. Assume not until proven otherwise. The most likely case is that they are serving their own interest ABOVE your interests, and in most cases they are unaware of your personal existence, and couldn’t care less.
You should never trust anyone who places their own interests above your interests. You can interact freely and peacefully in all sorts of ways with such folks, but you must not TRUST them on anything of any real importance, because when it comes down to that crucial question of who wins and who loses on stuff that matters, such persons will choose for THEMSELVES to win, and and for YOU to lose. That’s pretty obvious, right?
So why do so many people act like they trust the government and all of its agents, experts, mouthpieces and stooges? I mean, how could anybody actually TRUST such a blatantly outrageous pack of liars?
Easy.
It’s sure a lot easier than taking personal responsibility for betraying the trust placed in us by our children and family for so many years. I mean, it’s not as if none of us KNEW that toxic foods, immorality, failure to protect our loved ones, or financing the killing of strangers in foreign lands for commercial reasons are not BAD things. Some government expert tells us it was just FINE fine to feed our kids toxic garbage for the first 18 years of their lives and then send them off to die in a foreign war, or work for the Blackrock Branch of WEF Incorporated (EVERYBODY who uses dollars works for those guys), and then we went ahead and DID it? How could anyone possibly be that vile or stupid!
Oh, I see. It wasn’t our fault because experts (government) were telling us that it was the right thing. So is that really a good enough reason to NOT know what we damn well know?
I suppose it is if we just go on believing the experts who tell you it is. Just be sure not to accidentally know what it is that you’re trying so hard to not know.
Maybe “not knowing” something like this, for example : That government guy over there who is using his power of control over me as a means of compelling me to allow him that authority to have control over me, obtained that power in the first place by LYING and deceiving me into believing that his purpose was to serve and protect me rather than enslave and harm me.
I’m beginning to think that he was lying all along, and knew it. He didn’t give a damn about me. He cared about the good stuff that was in it for him, at my cost.
Of course the more I proclaim those charges, and prove them beyond shadow of doubt, and promise that justice shall be served, well the stronger that bird has to “not know” what he damn well knew from the git-go, and the harder he now has to work to lie and harm even more so that does not lose that power to lie and harm with impunity and get paid for it.
That’s a bit of self-defeating conundrum, don’t you think? I don’t think that method is going to work very well.
Maybe a somewhat different approach would work better.
Something like this:
Instead of seeking to punish miscreants, rather seek to know (instead of pretending that you don’t) anything that you yourself may be “not knowing on purpose” that allows miscreants and liars to have power over you. It could as simple as the fact that you really do not have to do what the government (or anyone else) tells you to. The choice of compliance or defiance truly is a decision that is yours to make. Indeed, you’re the only one even capable of making it.This route requires confronting something about yourself and your own actions that have earlier chosen (almost secretly) NOT to know. Therefore this route is almost certainly going to contain a considerable amount of discomfort and hard work. It is certainly not such easy fix as taking some “medicine” or consulting an expert, and then leaving the driving to them while one reclines blissfully in shiftless ignorance.
Few people choose the hard way. That’s why the road to Hell is so crowded. Lots of folks are working damn hard to avoid the work of going in the other direction (which, ironically, is the only way out of here.)
Anyhow, and getting back to the main point (yes, yes, there actually is a main point to all this.)
The point is that people who choose and work to NOT know something, are doing so because they do now want to become aware of the fact that the undesirable consequence they’re trying to avoid is something that resulted from their own mis-doing, and they knew it from the git go.
We’re not going to get them to see truthful stuff by making the consequences of their lies and misdeeds look even bigger and worser. All that will accomplish will be to scare the shite and shame out of them and incite them to lying and harming even harder to avoid the now increased consequences which they already fear so much that the fear is literally driving them insane.
I think that a more effective (and therefore truer and better) solution is to truly care more about THEM and their welfare than we care about ourselves. And if we can do that, when we do that, and it is true (not smarmy or fake), then the other will see it too, and then they will trust (because we are trust worthy) and they will finally be free to know that it is they themselves (and/or we ourselves) who caused the bad consequence that they are working so hard to avoid public (and private) responsibility for.
Some will repent, and others will double down. That’s just the way it goes. If that looks like hard and dangerous work, well that’s just the price we pay for being so irresponsible for so long.
Am I suggesting or advising some sort of “forgiveness” thing, like in religions and stuff?
Well, technically, and in point of fact, NO it isn’t. No one gets “forgiven” of anything. Quite the opposite. EVERYBODY fesses up and takes responsibility for their thoughts, words and deeds.
Note: By this time, in this longer than usual comment, you have probably surmised that my essay is starting to take on distinctly spiritual tones, and you would be right.
