If Iran chose to close the Straits of Hormuz neither they nor their allies and customers would lose a single penny from the destruction of oil markets. They would simply get $300 per barrel instead of $75, and so would everybody else ON THER SIDE who traffics in black gold (much different story for their enemies). REALLY important key customers (like China and India and a few FRIENDLY others) could be given special prices, priorities and privileges to compensate for any inconvenience, and access to oil that was being DENIED to their competitors would more than make up for dents to the pocket book caused by slow-downs and interruptions.

Hits: 10510I’ve seen numerous repetitions of the rumor that Iran was hit with drones in the exact same way that Russia was hit with “spiderweb.”
At the time I was thinking wtf are you attacking Russia’s nuclear triad?
Both the method being identical and the timing of hitting Russia’s long range bombers right before Iran got hit can be seen in a different context now.
Both sides seem to agree that less missiles are being launched per salvo from Iran now. Reasons given differ:
–Pro Iran: Iran has overwhelmed Israel’s AD. They are low on/out of antimissiles and now Iran is doing MORE damage with LESS missiles, as Iran’s missiles are not being shot down anymore. Heavier payload missiles are being sent now that the interception rate is way down.
–Pro Israel: Israeli planes are operating freely over Iran and have progressively knocked out so many launchers that Iran is reduced to small salvos. Getting smaller all the time. Soon to be almost none.
