[See the full post at: Debt Rattle June 3 2016]Obama would never pardon Manning and Snowden has not even been charged with any crime nor convicted so no pardon is possible. Their ‘crimes’ lay at the intersection of Obama’s core governing principals, neoconservatism and neoliberalism. On the latter they both betrayed their organizations. They spoke out of school. They became individuals. There is no higher crime for organization men and neoliberals are organization men all. This isn’t actually part of neoliberal ideas but rather goes to the core of the culture neoliberalism has produced. The sins against neoconservatism are that ‘The Nation’, America, must use every available weapon in the fight against the others so as to achieve absolute hegemony over the globe.
The very idea that Obama would pardon either is absurd.
Kunstler echos other pundits I ‘ve heard; Biden/Warren ticket; the powers that be do not want Clinton; the Clinton’s are poison.
Biden is a hawk and a Russophobe; I don’t see Warren going for that scenario; but who the hell knows in today’s reality?
Rife with corruption and an evil form of banality; Orwell’s 1984 pales by the standards of today’s vile rulers…Couldn’t you re-state Gross’ “Capitalism doesn’t work at 0%” as “We don’t have Capitalism now” or “What we have isn’t Capitalism”?
Bonus round: If what we have isn’t Capitalism, then what is it? Some names for alternative economic systems are Communism, Socialism, Feudalism, and Fascism. Is it one of these?
“Though the bond liabilities remain on the government’s balance sheet, because they aren’t held by the private sector any more they’re effectively irrelevant.” So again, we can have infinite debt, and it never matters because it’s in one pocket and not another? History disagrees. It says if the government owns infinite debt eventually the market doesn’t trust them and the currency collapses, and with it the economy and government. History varies on when that happens, but it’s not a free lunch.
P.S. in this story, where the Bank is buying up all government bonds, Abe is going to fund this by issuing government bonds. Why bother? What’s with the illusion that they’re not just going to be bought with bank-printed money? And why are they printing money to buy and control the economy? To “help[ ] improve household sentiment.” Gosh, nothing tells me the economy is all fixed quite the way that unprecedented levels of intervention to prevent real price discovery and economic collapse does. All confident now, thanks. Not to mention lying to and manipulating people does nothing to fix reality, but that’s where we are now: “fixed with the power of lies!”
Who cares about or are worried about the high price of housing in Vancouver and Toronto?
The high rollers and flippers are playing by themselves and making the bubble go higher.
A working man cannot afford to play in that kind of high stake game.If you are not in the game you are not losing or gaining.
The only sure gainers are the tax collectors, fee collectors and real estate salesmen.
The fools and the rich are playing a zero sum game among themselves.

Debt-Money Monopolist Mega-Corporacratic Fascism.Why?
1. Our money is based on debt-money fraud.
2. Private monopolists control the debt-money system through mega-corporate fronts.
3. These monopolists also have controlling interests in every mega-corporation.
4. The government itself is effectively acts as a corporate front – hence the merger of government with the Debt-Money Monopolist interests and their mega-corporatocracy.This has nothing to do with capitalism. Or socialism. Or communism. It doesn’t have a proper name SO THAT PEOPLE WON’T BE ABLE TO THINK ABOUT REALITY.

No. America has ceased to exist except as a bizarre Potemkin village-mirage that is used as a curtain to hide (and eventually take the flack for) the directions of a Zioglobalist cabal/quabbalah loyal only to itself, usury and absolute power.
America has sadly morphed into another early extraction zone, similar in many respects to others it so enthusiastically helped to create.seychelles, you are exactly correct that America as an autonomous nation simply doesn’t exist. They are word games deployed to imprint malware on the minds of people programmed to do what they are told by, and repeat the declarations of, (Money Power financed) “authority figures.”
The Debt-Money Monopolist Money Power is supreme, by definition. The Money Power is the horse, the generator of the Debt Star, if you will. “Zioglobalist cabal/quabbalah loyal only to itself, usury and absolute power” is an off-shoot of the Money Power agenda. The truth is, the average Israeli is as much a victim of this Potemkin village-mirage as the average American citizen.
The controlled opposition promotes “Zionism,” and the camp followers do what they do best – follow, because it is a general term that fails to identify the root cause of the problem – THE MONEY POWER. David Icke came up with Rothschild Zionism, which is better, but still tends to lump in ordinary people who want Israel to exist for their own reasons or the reasons programmed into them by the Money Power propaganda machine.
Debt-Money Monopolists specifically identifies the top of the Satanic pyramid of power on Earth via a description of their essence. It is specific and not generalized to conceal the specific.

Couldn’t agree with you more. And that’s why I have claimed repeatedly that MANY wonderful people and outstanding human beings are going to be harmed when blowback time arrives (again).

Yes, I enjoy many of your posts – however, the reach of the Automatic Earth is global, and some of the turns-of-phrase you use are not understood by me – and perhaps others….such as “directly due to Johnson’s dismantling of the old Jim Crow laws”, and “Nixon was as much a pendejo as Donald Trump”…..what does that mean?
