ParticipantOkay- this the second time I have been to CIDRAP, where you will find precisely the next big thing in health-fear-porn.
In my comment wanderings today I saw two references to some horrifying candida that ravages weak immune systems*. CIDRAP is on top of it!
*Contagion- especially deadly contagion- is difficult to manufacture. The smart money is on ruining immunity- then contagion might be easy.March 21, 2023 at 11:14 pm #131757my parents said know

Participant“Millions are dead in Iraq. We actually fought in your damn wars. You sent us to hurt civilians.”
And you killed those civilians, so you too are disqualified. Why are you trying to pass your own guilt onto the person who told you to do it as if you didn’t know it was wrong as you killed these people? Never your own fault, always someone else to blame. If you served in the US military then you knew when you joined that you were there to kill innocent civilians because that is what the US military has been doing since WW2. Even in WW2 the US decided to kill civilians in huge numbers in Japan to show them who was boss. The soldiers are the guilty ones, their obedience enables the politicians to declare wars on innocent peoples in order to fulfill their need to feel powerful.

Participant“Republicans plan to use their new investigative powers in the House majority to ramp up probes into the Biden family and liberal Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg..”
Why don’t they start a probe into the corruption of democracy by George Soros and his friends? He is the money man behind this, so it seems like the place to start, the DA is a Soros diversity hire, chosen for his inability to think on his own.

Mattis’s orders at Fallujah constituted punishment of the general population, an obvious violation of any number of domestic, international and warfare laws.
AND far worse than his atrocious personal demeanor in the contemporary fashion those orders specifically targeted all boys above age 14 and in practice included kids as young as 11. These facts were known to at least one pediatric surgeon at Fallujah and she was under the nominal charge of another pediatrician David A. Tam before she left garrison and then after she returned. California requires all pediatricians and their sub-specialists to report all proven and suspected cases of child abuse.
Both individuals, in my opinion should have be suspended from medical practice permanently and not enjoy their exalted status in Delaware and NYU respectively. As for cowardice, that is their fear of retribution from James Mattis, they can live daily with that self-inflicted humiliation.
California’s medical board has been notoriously indifferent to these cases and those of Torture Psychologists Mitchell and Jessen.March 21, 2023 at 11:54 pm #131762Oroboros
ParticipantWhen you’re dead, you don’t know it.
It’s only painful and difficult for others.
The same when you’re stupid.
The difference between knowing your shit and knowing you’re shit.

Being out of debt and able to weather low income and high bills, while maintaining necessities of life seems like the prudent approach. Do prepare to help friends and family survive, also.”
I like this plan. It’s good for everyone because it has the virtue of simplicity while “raising all boats” to some degree, and those who do best at it are also made more able to help those who don’t quite make it to full weatherability on their own.

Participant@DR D Rich: Thankd for th Fallujah reflections.
My nephew shot a kid to death on orders. The boy was running ammo to a big brother in a sniper position.
When you kill a kid like that you can’t ever be who you were before. It is a form of torment.@ DBS: Thanks, only a genius could think that up, right?

Well, it may not reach the heights of genius, but it sure does make it all the way to simple enough to remember in the middle of chaos, which is pretty smart.March 22, 2023 at 3:34 am #131769Dr D Rich
ParticipantReflections?
Christ…
Let me ask, do you believe your nephew passed the test?….similar unforgivable crimes were “forgiven” officially by Marine brass and more than one NCIS investigation for unequivocally murderous acts by Marines. Those well-documented criminal actions took place at Haditha and at the Fallujah charnel house execution of an injured Iraqi injured who had been rendered hors de combat.
No doubt we have only been exposed to the tip of the iceberg. The Army did as bad on a far larger scale. None of those atrocities defended our nation in the least bit.William Faulkner got it right when he wrote about the murder of a child, Emmet Till. The words are universal and timeless
“If we in America have reached the point in our desperate culture where we must murder children, no matter for what reason or what color, we don’t deserve to survive and probably won’t.”March 22, 2023 at 4:50 am #131770Afewknowthetruth
ParticipantNATO sending ‘depleted’ [still radioactive] uranium armour-piercing shells crosses the biggest red line yet. And it invites a very strong -possibly nuclear- response from Russia.

The soldiers involved can enjoy their killing of the weak while blaming their boss for the criminal orders that the US issues to its army in every war. Orders that the soldiers have no problem following at the time and obviously expect, given they joined an organisation that kills weak innocent people.
But now the view has changed, the USA is in a war where the other side is strong, suddenly the USA is afraid to come out and fight. The Ukraine shows us the true cowardice of the USA, beneath the butch veneer of the bully. Well, the world now knows the Americans are cowards and this realisation is accelerating their demise, with most countries losing their fear of the bully.
The Ukraine soldiers are trying to defend their country, there is honour in defending your loved ones, although they really lost their country in 2014. The USA soldiers do not do that, they appear to kill for the fun of it and evidently only weak defenceless people: there is no honour in the US military. But, at least there is some minor karma as the US veterans suffer without support from their past boss. Each story of a suffering US veteran is something at least to compensate for the pain suffered by the rest of the world.

ParticipantWill it make a difference.
At last, the view has changed.
People are finally asking for peace.
People are asking to stop the killing and the destruction. -
