Participant“Bundibugyo ebolavirus was less fatal (case-fatality rate 34%) than Ebola viruses that had caused previous outbreaks in the region, and most transmission was associated with handling of dead persons without appropriate protection (adjusted odds ratio 3.83, 95% confidence interval 1.78-8.23).”

ParticipantToday’s news has many articles about the aircraft carrier USS Ford (of clogged toilets and laundry fire fame) finally returning home after an extra-long 11 month deployment.
Also in recent news, with far less coverage, is the submarine USS Florida completing a 727-day deployment, which is around 24 months in a windowless ship.

ParticipantBut yeah, guilty, I think Trump is better than Biden. Chastise me. Spank me.
Thinking that Trump is better than Biden is 100% equivalent to thinking that Ted Bundy was better than Jack the Ripper.
I’m just deeply relieved that Ilargi is openly confessing to deliberately seasoning and stirring the TAE Potpourri based on his own thinking (as humanly mistaken and foolish as that might be) rather than being captured by the nefarious “THEY!” (which possibility terrified us all.)
Fear not! Stand down. Relax. He’s just the same well intentioned mistaken fool that he has always been, for which we love him because we’re all just like that our own selves.
Whew.

ParticipantPeople have been fighting over this real estate for AT LEAST 10,000 years, so I’m not very surprised that Netanyahu and the rest of the ZioNazis are fighting over it now.
Do not be so distracted by the explosions and mass killing that you lose sight of the fact that it is the SAME real estate that all of their adversaries are fighting for AGAINST them. Takes two to Tango, ya know?
There’s a reason for the never-ending bloody contest, and it is a compelling reason.
That region of the world is the MIDDLE of the world.
If you drew a scatter chart of the best places to live, survive and perhaps even thrive in the world, and combined it with it’s twin chart of the fastest, cheapest, easiest & most efficient (i.e. “best”) trade routes between those best places, you would be looking at the greatest concentration of dots and lines smack dab in THAT region. The “middle” of the world.
This is so long term and absolutely real that it has shaped the very genome of the human species.
It is IMPOSSIBLE to control the world without controlling that region, so when that middle zone flares up yet again, for the millionth time, you can be assured, with the most incontrovertible certainty, that SOMEBODY is making a play for controlling the Whole World At Once, Entire.
If you have any bright ideas about persuading those assholes to stop doing that, please do let me know.
For starters, you’ll notice that the assholes doing it are obsessed with control, because at the end of the day they know that they will never have total control, and the desire for it has driven them crazy. Satanically crazy.

ParticipantMiddle East:
Long the private playground of the City of London.
They don’t care how many locals need to die to stay in control!Trump:
He can’t help being in the news.
He is the only one doing anything these days.He was non the receiving end of over 700 (fake) charges by the US government.
He has been pretty laid back rather than being vindictive about thisIf, I had survived such treatment for 9 years (2015 – 2024), all of my enemies would have been rounded up in the dead of the night and flown to G-bay in Cuba, out of reach of US courts.
He hasn’t even taken anybody’s passport away!

ParticipantThinking back to the hellishly doomed choice between Trump or Biden I am reminded of the old trick of getting people to accept a bad choice without complaint by giving them the chance to free themselves from one that is even worse. People chained to a post in the cargo hold of a sinking slave ship will typically accept a shitty seat on an overcrowded leaking lifeboat without complaint. To a man whose daily diet is hot steaming moose turd, maggoty roadkill can look like a banquet.

Re: “ People have been fighting over this real estate for AT LEAST 10,000 years, so I’m not very surprised that Netanyahu and the rest of the ZioNazis are fighting over it now.”I think this is Zionist propaganda. It is partially true, but very misleading. For most of the last 2000 years the people living in the Holy Land lived in peace. When the Umayyads took control from the Byzantines, they employed all of the Byzantine artisans to do all of the stunning mosaics in the Umayyad Mosque in Damascus — and the traces of Byzantine influence is obvious. The ruler that you paid taxes to changed, and your patron changed, but life went on as usual. The amazing Madama Map in Jordan was created in the Church of St George during the reign if the Umayyads.
What were the Crusades about? Were they fought over religion? Nonsense. Problems arose when the Muslims started restricting pilgrims access to the Holy Sites. That was the justification. But the armies the Pope sent did go simply to restore pilgrim access. They aristocratic class went for pillage and conquest, to establish their own kingdoms for their own glory. Religion was the pretext. Even then, after the conquests and counter conquests, the residents settled down, lived in peace, and paid their taxes to whoever was in charge.
In more recent times, you can see the old pre-Balfour B/W photos of the Easter celebrations in Jerusalem with the Muslims and Jews in the photos – living together in peace.
Palestinian economist Safadeen Amous insists that everyone got along then because property rights were protected. But the modern Israeli state does not respect property rights, which he claims in the root of the present troubles.
Zionism changed the dynamic. The Christians were prepared to live together in peace. The Muslims were prepared to live together in peace, but subject to the idea that Jews and Christians are subordinate to the Muslim authorities. But the Zionists, the Zionists, these are the ones with the crazy idea that the Holy Land is for them, and only for them, and everyone else must go. So they naturally promote the propaganda that Muslims, Christians and Jews have always behaved and acted that way. But that is a deceitful lie!
