Back to the NY court case, if the appeals court strikes it down, does that mean law in the U.S. remains strong? These are some of the same objections to 3D printing (plastic) parts. An injection-molding machine IS essentially a 3D printer, except it can make 2,000 parts an hour instead of one. It can also make them to a very, very higher quality, with the QC inspector there on site and stamping them with a microscope and great familiarity. Printing only provides flexibility but for what when Amazon will deliver the QC OEM part in 2 days? Usually at half the price?
They have one on “Lost in Space” (new edition, quite good) and only on a spaceship, disconnected, does this make a lot of sense. But even then you need one that prints HDPE, aluminum, titanium, carbon, poly…is that a reasonable parameter for your equipment? Those machines sound very different.

It has advantages and disadvantages, but is really interesting. It can be DIY. I often look around at the homes from the last few decades here in Phoenix, AZ, and shake my head — homes built primarily of wood with no forests in sight! This really is rather stupid. My home was built in ‘49 with a brick exterior and wood beams for roof and interior walls. Traditionally, homes in this stretch of the world were built with adobe or stone, with wood used where adobe or stone was not suitable.I have thought about what you (Dr D) suggested about a week ago — the solution to the problem of my ex abusing my kids being to threaten him with a shotgun. What you may not have realized is that you illustrated the situation of women, generally. Women are, generally speaking, not as physically strong as men. Therefore, the only way I can overcome the influence of an uncivilized man is by using force (or might) that is greater than his. Whether this “might” is a shotgun (which I did not fashion myself), or a court order enforced by police, or a CPS representative threatening prosecution, is somewhat irrelevant — as an adult woman I have to rely on the combined resources of my community to overcome the innate strength of an uncivilized man who is determined to do ill to myself and/or my children. I think that the fact that I am a woman and that you are a man ends up informing greatly the disparities in our world views. As much as I prize the values of responsibility, self-reliance, and independence, ever since I became pregnant with twins 18 years ago I have been required to seek outside help from my community in order to properly raise my children. One could say that this has been due to the failure of the father of my children to properly execute his role as “father” and “husband” — and I would tend to agree with that perspective! However, unfortunately, there are messed up men who shirk their responsibilities, and then the result is women and children who must rely upon the general community for the support that the derelict man does not provide. Because, very often, even a woman who works her a** off cannot provide every needful thing that her children require.
As it is, I am very grateful to CPS this weekend…. CPS has somehow convinced my ex that he should allow my three teens to live where they want, and in a meeting with the mental hospital, myself, my ex, and CPS this past week, my ex verbally agreed that the three kids would go to my home. I am suspicious that once his attorney wades into this that it isn’t going to be so easy, but my kids are with me instead of their father for fall break (from school,) the court granted me temporary sole custody of my daughter, and my kids are calm and happy at the present. I don’t know what “carrots and sticks” were employed by CPS…but, so far, it is working.

What the hell happened?That is excellent, as CPS didn’t screw the pooch and muck everything up but apparently went in there with sensitivity, knowledge, and a plan. There must be leverage involved or his ego at least would require some concession and visibly got none. This is exactly the first-round behavior I would have aimed for out of an Uncle or other non-government group, and for the same goals. That is amazing, even for a group that is supposed to be trained and supposed to have power. They’re acting like they’re competent.
I’m not sure if it’s male-female in the way you expect. That is, men have strength and no problems. I think it’s essentially testosterone, which causes the brain to be formed differently. You see this as they’ve glommed on the political numbers. Basically ALL women statistically are Democrat, that is, collectivists. Obviously not “All” but I’m not sure anything could get the polarization of numbers any higher. The swing of men to GOP and particularly MAGA is also at an extreme. But to me that’s not politics. It’s outlook.
Women tend strongly to be collectivists for so many reasons, and lesser strength isn’t really one of them, I don’t think. As you pointed out, since the day Mr. Colt provided an equalizer, it’s been irrelevant. So it points up only a matter of WILL. Men WILL because hurting others doesn’t bother them much. Their default from boys is to get into a tussle and screw the other guy, he deserved it. This isn’t as simple as it seems because it doesn’t come from the meanness attributed, but the KIND of meanness boys have (as genders self-isolate for like 10 years in childhood) vs the KIND of far greater cruelty and meanness girls have. Their approach works correctly FOR BOYS. It gets BOYS off your back. And we carry what worked in childhood into adulthood.
So with women, they are far more capable of “collectivism”. That is, being social. They generally enjoy it, and woe until any women who don’t, by God they wish they’d never been born, probably for all of their lives without reprieve. I know many. And so their solutions to THEIR cruelty and abuse problems as 13-year-olds is NOT to punch Sally in the face at the sleepover. That makes MORE problems. Therefore, the solution is to accommodate, include, bond, share secrets…or likewise plot and backstab. But never, hardly ever to shoot her in the face, or threaten her openly, and certainly not physically.
So we have the hazy orientation, with leads to a hazy expression, which leads to a sort of track or channel. Then experience re-enforces the channel which likely wouldn’t happen nearly so much if they weren’t gender-isolated. A daughter in a family of four brothers comes to mind. This leads to the “gender” as we know them, where I always hear “They” taught me. Who’s “They” though? Not parents. Not teachers. Not classes, not governments. “They” in this case is YOU. YOU taught yourself this, internalized it, from other know-nothing children around you who didn’t know any better than you did. Then they carry it for 30 years blaming…someone. Can anyone see that? “Patriarchy” didn’t do that, it’s an abstraction. If you ask men they could care less about your high heels or working. It was other GIRLS who like, share, enforce, and did that. For complex reasons, and perhaps good ones, who knows? But we all got that same treatment.
Not to say that men’s approach, which was my approach in advice, is a GOOD one. On the contrary, it’s a bad one. However, when circumstances demand extremes, you have to have the option of extremes in the toolbox. Ahead of time, because any choice might lead to a path of escalation and you have to game out If This/Then That a few layers in.
It comes up all the time now because in a deeply feminized culture, they want, expect and demand all boys to act like and have the solutions of women. Because to women (school districts) that is “reasonable”. When the whole culture acts like women, great, we can see a lot of great things come from it.
…One problem though: ONE abusive ‘husband’ can terrorize and control everyone because no one has the balls to say no and take him down. Even by poisoning his tea. It — that level of uncaring malice — isn’t in them. So bizarrely I have to bring it up all the time because we’re all terrorized by abusive narcissists all the time, who get their edge up on the whole nation/world using a “male” abuse track. So then — I — am stuck being the cad who says, “Anyone thought of just shooting this guy in the park?”

No one can do this, just say no in a male, hard-core way? Then put out your cigarette butt on face so others get the message?”
I don’t WANT to do that. But it’s the “Or Else.” “You’re going to do this.” “Or else what?” How are you going to MAKE me? What happens if I REFUSE to be terrorized? What if I ain’t skeeered, even of death?
But although I can get a lot done that way and some people do, ultimately that’s not my life path. Sadly. That means although I’m willing to act, I can’t be the only one. So I’m stuck rallying the troops and enlisting bodies first. That’s how it is sometimes.
So it’s not “strength” after Mr. Colt. It’s the cold-hearted indifference to … everything I guess, their life, your life, all consequences…that allows you to ACTUALLY shoot. That’s what he’s saying about this generation of p—–ies owning guns. Guys? Why bother? Clearly you’re not going to use them anyway, so just give them back before you get hurt. That’s why I can recommend training, NOT the instrument itself, and NOT time at the range. But actual, room-sweeping, war training, face-punching, bone-breaking. Because it will make you LOOK at how YOU FEEL about being a victor or a victim. And there are a lot of people who would be seriously damaged by defending themselves and shouldn’t. There are plenty of people who don’t care and you can outsource, but only when you understand it, and them. And then you have to emPOWER those people to DO THEIR JOBS, and violence the F— out of the people that are assaulting you. Maybe you can’t do it personally, but you can man enough to understand THEM and THEIR doing it.
Heck, people like that will do it with a bat, for free, IF YOU JUST LET THEM. Buy them a taco and say they’re your hero. Which they should be.
Again, Let them? Why? Because in a world of sheep, one wolf can terrorize and rule the world. Or as we have today, if the whole world is made of women, girlie-men, then one bad man can rule and terrorize them all, even though all 4 Billion women can — technically, physically — stop him. They won’t. Mentally and emotionally, they won’t. And so we see the 6 or 7 million useless dead in the last 20 years because of it.
Ask VP, I bet he knows. What a sad subject.

Comment #144361 is not visible any more. I think that was my comment on the reasons why the Israeli MOSSAD almost certainly knew this Palestinian uprising was coming and let it happen in order to help their declining image in the USA. Why did that comment disappear? Maybe it was the external link, but obviously it was visible at some time as zerosum has seen it. Strange.

That is very strange. I do not see it. I logged out, reloaded and the comment is still not listed.
