Dr.Fauci (he who speaks science truth and is above reproach).

Fauci was pushing AZT even for children in the beginning of the AIDS epidemic.

    AZT was killing ppl.

I lost many friends because of AZT

The Assange hearing has been postponed because one of the lawyers is suspected to have contracted COVID (she’s being tested). Which is more than ironic since Assange’s lawyers have said repeatedly that he is under grave threat of contracting it in Belmarsh, and he has is weak, asthmatic etc.

I fail to understand the world reaction to COVID-19. Yesterday I calculated for Canada and Sweden the percentage % of the country’s population that has died from COVID-19. Canada has implemented precautions and lockdowns whereas Sweden has not.

    Canada Total COVID-19 deaths = 9153
    Canada Total population = 37590000
    Canada % of Total population dead from COVID-19 = 9153 / 37590000 * 100 = 0.0243 %

    Sweden Total COVID-19 deaths = 5842
    Sweden Total population = 10230000
    Sweden % of Total population dead from COVID-19 = 5842 / 10230000 * 100 = 0.0571 %

The percentage of the population in each country that has died at least in my mind does not seem concerning. Yet the world has reacted in a manner that has caused psychological harm, job destruction and may likely trigger a Great Depression.

My impression is that the world is living a lie. Any comments to help me understand what is happening?

Edgar Degas Dancers in Blue 1895: In case you didn’t find yourself drawn to the center of the dancers circle, the lady in orange made sure you got there. The delicate application of lilac provided additional insurance; the lady in yellow with red-orange hair sealed the deal. Now that you have arrived, you hear them talking softly. The ladies in Blue form a flower-like cluster, their wispy skirts fluffed to perfection. The background surfaces in full impressionistic expression fade into the moment or does the moment fade into them? Only the tree knows for sure.

Because it was a cover up for dropping rates to zero and restarting QE. What happened first, lockdowns and efforts to contain the virus? Or bailouts, rates to zero and QE?

I’m depressed about the Assange “trial”.

It’s crystal clear to me why there’s fat all chance of Trump pardoning him, since Trump has always worked hard to keep the armed forces on his side. From the five star generals down to the lowliest GI they all believe that Assange is a traitor who should be locked up and the key thrown away unless he can be given the death penalty. It makes me wonder if the whole point of the Atlantic piece was actually to make sure that Trump didn’t even consider withdrawing the extradition request.

    Several thoughts:
“The Pandemic is History” is a brief glimpse of the Ivor Cummins data I posted a link to yesterday and below. I don’t know, but it might be “melting, melting, melting…”
    https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2020/09/the_pandemic_is_history.html

Ivor Cummins, in Ireland, presents a normative viral epidemiologic argument, with very good supporting historical graphs, country by country, region by region, virus by virus. He asserts that COVID-19 deaths and illness are, indeed, very similar to those caused by influenza, from a public health perspective. (The manifestations of the virus in each person are clearly different from Flu.) He estimates that something like 20% of a population is susceptible to any new strain of influenza or coronavirus, and that this novel coronavirus is tracking the patterns of previous years pretty well. He uses a lot of graphic overlays. He makes a very good case. His attention to the different patterns in Northeastern US (European) and Southwestern US (semi-tropical) spread are especially instructive, and match our experience to date quite well.
The big question is, “How predictive will this be going into winter?”

Maruata At The Crossroads is a book, at a small but informative site, about a project to get sources of sustainable pure water and reroute human waste and washing runoff from cesspits to orchards. The project seems to have run from 1997 to 2018. I found it to include very useful information on clean and eco-coherent human living in a mostly-natural environment. Thanks Jeanine. What??? The media was LYING??? Say it isn’t so, Joe.

Anyway, apparently the quote – and what’s the point of double checking? – was that “he wanted to downplay it………..so as not to create a panic.” As you say, apparently the scandal was that the President is SUPPOSED to create panics whenever he can, I guess. Also NOT quickly shut down air travel, etc to Asia and soon Europe, while actively distracted with a timely and pointless impeachment, don’t shut it down, according to the Democrats. …Who now say JOE wanted the lockdowns, as the DNC all demand masks (cuz fun to order others around) while they were the ones NOT wanting lockdowns for any reason a few months back. And after months ignoring masks, now the red hats are the stupid science deniers who don’t wear them enough. Cause we wear them AFTER there are no daily CV deaths in NY off and on now. Don’t wear them when there IS disease and no immunity, DO wear them AFTER there is no deaths and there IS measurable herd immunity. Gotcha. But in out goldfish world, now the #OppositeLand. Just like this week TRUMP wants the riots, and is doing nothing, while Joe and Kamala have been ANTI riot. …You know, by bailing out accused murderers and sex offenders, and cooing over accused rapists pulling knives on policemen serving a warrant. On national TV. I wish I could only be kidding.

So see kids? Totally makes sense. When DNC people burn DNC cities, allowed by DNC Mayors, released by DNC Attorneys, bailed by DNC charities, arranged by DNC NGOs, while beating Asians and (another) gay/trans man in the streets, it’s Trump’s fault. Joe is law-n-order doncha know. And anti-China. Always has been.

And everyone says, “Yes, wow, I love it, I believe it, totally agree.” Everyone except the millions of non-insane former Democrats that are calling CSPAN and fleeing in droves. Just the Twitterati bubble spins ever-tighter into a level of nonsense and fart-sniffing previously thought impossible.

No wonder I stopped commenting. When each sentence of each article is a lie, each tweet, each statement, it takes 10x the words to comment, as they simply move on to other lies, each one the opposite of the lie they told a minute ago, and no one cares.

Speaking of: Woodward hasn’t told the truth in decades, a bad look for him. I mean, not that he really told it back when either, a happy tool of the CIA leaker who wanted to overturn a sitting President on a personal vendetta, and did while applauded by citizens coast to coast. As if the Alphabets were clean, we should allow THEM of all people to seat Presidents, and that the Kennedy elections of the day weren’t the dirtiest seen in 100 years. Whoops! Goldfish. Memory hole. Squirrel.

Bob the Liar. I like Cohen: he’s a lot funnier. He’ll say literally ANYTHING they tell him to, however foolish or unlikely. Was Trump blowing howler monkeys on a UFO en route to Mars? You bet he was! I swear I have the pics! (sez Schiff).

“Woodward: General James Mattis Plotted Overthrow of US Government (CT)”

Yes, but this is the GOOD “plot to overthrow the government”, the GOOD treason. You understand. The one they started the day after the election sez Mark Zaid, DoJ insider. He has no right to dismiss these traitors just for actively trying to overthrow the government! Just ask them. Podesta, every day since 2016 when they “did not concede under any circumstances” but also in his latest election wargames, agrees: The only REAL patriotism is open treason and Pacifica secession. That’s just common sense.

“I’ve seen crazy source-related stuff in 20 years in New York and this was one of the craziest,”

I’m more interested in reports John Brennan had created his own Black CIA room to investigate the President and do whatever-he-feelz, months before any (opposition-paid) Steele dossier or any FBI case. They are back-filling this open CIA treason, wildly outside their jurisdiction, with a bunch of garbage and distraction. The CIA director picks Presidents now? Ask Kennedy and Nixon. That was some time ago.

“The Mysterious Destruction Of Evidence Related To Steele Dossier (Solomon)”

Nuland? Reminds me of the dismissed Ambassador Yovanovitch also distracted and memory-holed. Making space for Presidential attacks, treason, withholding evidence, and lying about it to everyone including Congress. You can’t fire traitors like her! How dare you! You must keep them! When people change and elect new Presidents, the policy must never, never change. It must be Vindman CIA Derp State policy. Or else they have “six ways to Sunday to get you” Mr. Schumer.

“NIH Funded Human Coronavirus Experiments In 2019 In China (JTN)”

Uh-huh. Apparently funded with Fauci’s money when he couldn’t get that illegal bio-weapons research done here: we weren’t going to allow him to have no oversight whatsoever on the world’s deadliest weapon, so he outsourced it to our enemies. You know, like a traitor you’re not allowed to fire. I mean, this doctor only killed 700k in AIDS, right? For da money? For the LOLs? He’s just getting started!

Wildlife in ‘Catastrophic Decline’ that Shows No Sign of Slowing (BBC)”

Yes, and it’s their organizations: Banks, Governments, Billionaires, Corporations thereby monopolized and funded, that do it. But there’s an answer: MOAR government that will give MOAR money to MOAR corporations, rig more prices, and force more poor folks to cut down the trees they’d never have to if it weren’t for vertical rocket-ship inflation. (of assets) The BBC is one of their prime defenders. See? It’s YOUR fault, citizen. YOU’RE the one that made Walmart pave all those fields and erase all those rice paddies. Nevermind that the people were here 10,000 years and never did that until WE arrived with our financial system that will kill them if they don’t. Oh and save the forests in Brazil, NOT the forests in Essex. We cut down all our OWN trees just ‘cause they limit the new 5G a little.

Stop the money, you stop the destruction. They won’t. It stops taxes and power.

Nobel Prize Economics of Climate Change Is Misleading, Dangerous (Steve Keen)”

They’re right, Nordhaus should have his Nobel pulled. …Since 10,000 years of history tell us that economies and societies prosper in every WARMING, and GDP falls only during COOLING. But hey, carry on with your non-science. Not like anybody notices. And would you want to be in the esteemed company of the world’s wrongest people, other Nobel Prize winners like laughable failure Krugman and 5-war-starting, slave-market-starting Obama?

But this time it’s different. Like every time before.

Too complex and multi-pronged to do in a short reply. It’s not about death numbers, first of all. For too many long term patients for that; heart damage, lung damage, athletes who can no longer walk up stairs.

But Sweden and Canada are a nice pair. Given that Canada has 3.7x the pop of Sweden, and “only” 1.6% the death toll, you would think Canada is the big success story, and that lockdowns work. But that’s not what I read. You can argue that all Canada had to do was close the US border, but looking at numbers from Sweden’s neighbors, that doesn’t add up either. That makes Sweden look like the US a lot more than like Canada.

And Sweden had no lockdown like many others, but they did close down a lot of public places. Taleb: “Theatres, museums and sporting arenas in Sweden were closed. The main movie theater chain closed. Restaurants had strict government enforced social distancing rules and were immediate padlocked if they broke the law.” And an -8% GDP number indicates that what they didn’t close, Swedes stayed away from anyway.

The main global problem appears to be a lack of preparedness, which goes across several generations of governments, so no politician can be blamed for it (though they try for Trump), and a lack of knowledge across governments and “scientists” (epidemiologists need years to make models and study them, or they’re useless).

Everyone’s just trying to avoid the blame, more than trying to solve the problem. It becomes pure politics. But now the only thing they have left in their toolkit will be more lockdowns, and that will backfire, whether it’s Sweden or Canada or the US. While none of them are implementing rapid tests, HCQ/zinc and Vitamin D. Start that now in any country and they would cut cases in half and deaths by 80-90%.

Perhaps because they want more bad numbers as we get closer to the election. Regardless, what we’ve been told from the getgo has been a mess. The fact that they’ll make this political tells me its not as bad as we are told it is.

“Everyone’s just trying to avoid the blame, more than trying to solve the problem.”

That has been the case since 2008, hence the bailouts. Now do you truly think they would have accepted the blame for the system blowing up again this past spring due to them not fixing it in 2008? Easy to blame a virus, can’t argue back.

New York Times headline: “Mr. Trump Knew It Was Deadly and Airborne”.

If so, Fauci did not know, just look at his comments at the time. So how did Trump know? He got a security briefing from his National Security Adviser. But that guy (O’Brien) is not a scientist. So should Trump have listened to him regardless?

According to the “he must always and only listen to the scientists” model, used a million times by the NYT, Trump should have disregarded the O’Brien warning he quoted to Woodward. Until it’s not so expedient anymore, as in two months before an election. But as Scott Adams remarks, the format works, because less than 2% of people have any idea what is true or not. But what an enormous deviation we are witnessing away from what journalism is.

    #63091

    House,

Not sure why or how you drag 2008 into the already messy picture, but 1) you underestimate incompetence, and 2) prove it.

    #63092

    Mike,

I forgot to mention that lockdowns and facemasks DO work. It’s simple science: a virus spreads between hosts or dies, it has just 2 options. Keep hosts away from each other or place barriers between them, and the virus can’t spread.

But that is by no means the same as saying that all lockdowns work all the time, or that masks do. By now, 9 months into this thing, I’d say maybe 10% have been successful. But that is not because the principle is not sound; people’s actions are not, especially politicians’.

People are smart enough to understand that it’s a smart idea to keep some distance, but force them to do it, and show them that other communities do things differently, and you’re playing footsie with your credibility. Try and claw that one back.

“Edgar Degas Dancers in Blue 1895”

Really enjoyed Susmarie108’s description, but then I’m a sucker for anything ballet, getting weak in the knees as when one’s true love walks in the room. I thought it was interesting that with all the impressionism, Degas chose to put a definitive edge on two of the skirts in the foreground.

As for the rest of the articles, I’ll leverage off the Scott Adams tweet: “This is an effective attack because only 2% of the public would know why it’s bullshit.”

Ever since the election of Trump, I’ve grown increasingly aware of how vulnerable and helpless the public is to the power of the media, because that was when they went into overdrive in their exaggerations, half-truths, and outright lying in order to sway public opinion. Following close behind were all of Washington’s elected and unelected functionaries giving credence to the media’s claims with the authority invested in their various positions. All in an effort to destroy a duly-elected non-establishment interloper who managed to outplay all the gate-keepers to the presidency.

How is the average person to make sense of all this? Like a rube on his first trip to the city, he’s an easy prey to every slick flim-flam artist and dance-hall barker that is adept at spotting a mark in straw hat and overalls. As Scott Adams implies, for every 2 Americans who is able to see past all the distortions and falsehood, there are 98 who are hopelessly lost in a sea of deceit. That’s 98% who are easily manipulated into supporting the establishment agenda as it goes about plundering the globe, while strangling any state that dares to resist.

What was fixed from 2008? The solution it appears, was to add more debt onto an unsustainable amount of debt. People in the lower classes were wiped out, the rich were made whole. The system was shown to be unworkable in 2008, it was bound to blow up again. Is that not why i’ve been reading your site for the past 12 years? Looking for hints as to when it would blow up again. Everytime it attempted to correct itself in the past ten years, more money was printed. Heck we didn’t raise interest rates .25 until 2015 or so, and then all rates were put on hold for another year. They managed to raise rates for two years before things started to blow up again. The money system is, sadly, the only thing worth paying attention to because it runs everything. How can i prove this? Are you saying 2008 has nothing to do with whats going on right now? You can go back even further Ilargi if you please, ok since 2001. Since the end of the dot.com bubble when fiat credit was shown to be bankrupt. Are you telling me that those bailouts this past spring had nothing to do with 2008?

I don’t underestimate incompetence, it was the reason for 2008. That and fraud. I understand that incompetence and a child like mentality, leads to endless lies. And like a child caught with his hand in the cookie jar, those who run our corporations and government will never admit they’re wrong. Because then they might not be allowed to run things anymore. Until the people running things changes, things will get worse by small increments everyear. My entire life ( i’m 36) in the workforce has been a depression, with a lack of meaningful work. I was 24 in 2008, when my eyes were opened. I want those 12 years of lies back Ilargi.

I believe the virus is “not letting a crisis go to waste” and being used for cover. From 2008 to 2019 feds balance sheet went from .9 billion to 4+ trillion. From march of this year thru june it went up to 7 trillion. How many people are even talking about financial problems currently? And if they are brought up, guess who is to blame? How convenient………………………..

Heck i think the democrats reaction since the 2016 election just further illustrates my point. If they were adults and honest and worried about something other then power, they would have said “we get the message, you didn’t want Hillary so bad you elected trump. We will get back to our roots and try and help the working man again. We will change.” Instead all we got was Russia, Russia, Russia. You say that was obliviously fake, but i think the virus is the same thing. Watch this hand, not this one.

    Raul,
If lockdowns and masks are effective in reducing the deaths caused by covid -19 then shouldn’t we have seen a noticeable drop in the number of deaths caused by the “plain old” flu that we see every year? That does not seem to be the case in the England and Wales statistics as shown in the Off Guardian article:

Flu is killing more people than Covid19, and has been for months

Flattening the curve by reducing interpersonal contact makes sense to buy some time to keep the system from getting overwhelmed but, given the size of this airborne virus, masking seems to be an exercise in futility.

You don’t find it odd that exactly around the beginning of COVID the Davos crowd starts talking about a great reset? Out of the blue, and all the ads we here now about how covid is reshaping our society. Everything is going to be blamed on COVID. The system was not viable before covid, but none of the people who brought us to where we are will be held accountable. Who coulda seen COVID coming?

I’ve seen the charge of “traitor” levelled at Assange from other directions. But Assange is not a US citizen, so under current legal definitions it is impossible for him to commmit treason.

Unless of course the US has decided, like ancient Rome towards its end, to grant citizenship to everyone within its borders, in this case those borders being the entire planet.

I can understand a president who doesn’t want to create a panic amongst the people; however, there are ways of speaking that can instead create a sense of unity and toughness, if you will, in the face of a big problem. Trump is not capable of that.

But leaving aside his personal inability to coalesce the public, to me the larger issue is that he went on to actively harm the public. He could have quietly had some teams working on PPE assessment and procurement, testing capacities, etc. before the lockdown became inevitable. Instead, the Trump administration was selling our PPE abroad in January, February, and March. They [Trump administration] secretly told some of the major manufacturers that they would help them apply for preferred status to sell US products through the fast-track sales exchange in Bejing. They refused to ship products to states run by Democrats because Trump didn’t “like them” and then, when the states were told to buy their own equipment from wherever they could find it, they had some federal goons intercept and confiscate the shipments. Our own governor, who is a Republican, had criticized Trump, so he ended up having to surreptitiously order supplies from South Korea and have them shipped to an undisclosed location so the Feds wouldn’t grab the goods. The territories and Indian reservations were ignored completely. A lot of PPE that finally went out to the states was dry-rotted and unusable.

There has been no full testing and tracing ever put in place, and now schools are reopening without any way to adequately test the kids and teachers. The agencies in charge of keeping track of the pandemic have been ordered to lie about the numbers, and Trump has dicked around with who the hospitals are supposed to report to – there are a couple of weeks’ worth of numbers that are lost since the new reporting system mysteriously didn’t work.

Trump had already down-sized the various agencies and put his cronies in charge of them, so none of the federal agencies were at all capable of handling a crisis when it came. To add insult to injury, he put Kushner and his old college chums in charge of PPE and supply chains, and put Pence in charge of the Corona task force – Pence, who thinks Covid is just a plague of the End Times that will weed out the sinners before the Rapture.

Trump has recently written a couple of unworkable, useless executive orders and memoranda, but has said he will veto any legislation that gives financial aid to the states. The states, in the meantime, are running out of money and discussing major cuts to education, unemployment, etc. to try to balance their budgets. (And please to not talk to me about “states rights”, and all that hoo-hah. The freaking federal gov’t is the only entity that can help in this dire situation; if it won’t do it now, what is the point in considering this a country any more?)

So, okay, he says he didn’t want to panic everyone. I don’t agree with that decision; you don’t get through a problem by treating the public like a bunch of babies. But Jesus on a cracker, the stuff that followed that initial impulse to keep the public in the dark is inexcusable. Once he knew action of some sort had to be taken, every single one of his actions was wrong, driven by politics, and cost lives. Screw Trump and the horse he rode in on. As to the members of Congress, the intelligence agencies, the CDC, Woodward, Fauci, and all others who had advance warning and did not speak out – fuck them, too.

They are ALL using Covid to steal everything they can from the public domain.

This is the final stage of what I call the Great Taking, and we are on our own.

    #63106

Anyone who thinks this “virus” is about public health anymore is naive.
Even the economy doesn’t matter ’cause the “übermensch” LOVE the economy.
Remember how they felt drastic measures were needed to “fix” the climate?
On that low note, has anyone checked out Deagel lately? It’s updated and the numbers are shocking. Mexico, China, Japan, and Iran are nearly depopulated. The US has come up a bit, dropping only 99M.
The big surprise is India rising 1.34M. All still for 2025. Doom porn at it’s best, and breathing heavily down your neck.

James Mathis is an Imperialist. A Centurion naturally he is displeased with an incompetent blundering Emperor who isn’t up to the job. Donald Trump is well aware that Bob Woodward, who took down Richard Nixon, is still affiliated with Washington Post owned by Trump’s arch enemy, globalist, Jeff Bezos; and lives in Trump’s “dark shadows”. Any news is good news but allowing himself to be recorded is a simple, crazy, incompetent mistake. The US President is all alone, over his head, with only the Ivanka family to support him.

To date 196,328 Americans have died from coronavirus. This is not an insignificant number, even though the ruling elite don’t give a damn. The simple fact, the USA is run to make money for the rich by hook or crook. The elite will not do anything that will hurt their pocketbooks. So, international travel was not halted. The dismantled national public health system was not rebuilt. The virus ran wild, worse, than Brazil or India. The lockdown, when imposed in March was sufficient to avoid overwhelming the nation’s for-profit healthcare system outside of New York State but not enough to control the virus. Four trillion dollars were given to corporations but Americans will just have to survive the best they can with one $1200 dollar check.

Also not being addressed is climate change. Pestilence and over 100 days of rioting in Portland OR have been joined by the blazing Infernos. Born in raised and raised in Seattle WA, it is inconceivable to me that forest fires are raging across the West, killing people, filling the air with smoke, turning the sky orange, destroying subdivisions, and closing roads. Forest fires are burning east of Enumclaw WA, Salem OR, and down in Medford OR, all on the wet West side of the Cascades. On the other side of North America, Washington DC was hit by flash floods today.

Doc Robinson, I tried to make the pic in your comment show, but then it disappeared. Here’s your comment:

I fact-checked that OffGuardian article (Flu is killing more people than Covid19, and has been for months), and it’s misleading.

This is the data they are starting with:

It comes from this site, the Office for National Statistics (ONS):
    https://www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulationandcommunity/birthsdeathsandmarriages/deaths/bulletins/deathsregisteredweeklyinenglandandwalesprovisional/weekending28august2020

The OffGuardian article claims that the “influenza and pneumonia” line on the graph is the number of “flu deaths.” However, the ONS specifies that the “Figures for Influenza and Pneumonia represent where either of these causes have been mentioned anywhere on the death certificate meaning they will not necessarily be the underlying cause of death.”

FWIW, more than 36,000 deaths are currently attributed to Covid-19 so far this year in England. How many people reportedly die from the flu in England every year? For the 2018/2019 flu season, the flu deaths were only 1,692. The average for the past 5 flu seasons is 17,000 flu deaths.

“Public Health England estimates that on average 17,000 people have died from the flu in England annually between 2014/15 and 2018/19. However, the yearly deaths vary widely from a high of 28,330 in 2014/15 to a low of 1,692 in 2018/19.”

Okay okay- Deagel… (sheepishly). I was wrong. My numbers are wrong. I did misunderstand them. Javascript helps.
Still, the US comes off BAD. Down 70 %.. And it’s a whole new Deagel.

A late poem for the ghosts of the morning, apropos for the eve (my time).
Do y’all abroad know it’s marked on a US calendar as “Patriot Day”?

    The test is the virus.
    The virus is a test.
    And while you learn obedience
    They’ll do their level best
To strip you of your courage
And all that you hold dear,
    But they will reimburse you-
They’ll make you rich with fear.

And in that zombie state you’ll find
The comfort of the empty mind.

    The test was the physics.
    The physics was a test.
And while you all were terrified
    They did their level best
To strip of of you freedom,
    Your privacy, your rights,
    But hey! They reimbursed you-
    They gave you restless nights.

While you were taking off your shoes
They entertained you with the news.

    Goodnight, m’dears.

Covid vs flu – this paper:
    https://www.jbs.cam.ac.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/wp2003.pdf
plots Covid deaths by country against the severity of the previous two flu seasons.
A natural conclusion (given mean age of Covid death matches mean life expectancy) would be that at-risk elderly are “harvested” by Covid in the same manner as they are by influenza.

    @Ilargi
    – you asserted earlier “I forgot to mention that lockdowns and facemasks DO work”. And you stated why you think they SHOULD work. Can you reference any studies which have assessed the efficacy of lockdowns and which support your assertion? As the studies I have seen to date, eg this one:
    https://www.spiked-online.com/2020/04/22/there-is-no-empirical-evidence-for-these-lockdowns/
have established weak or even negative correlation between lockdowns and outcome. And that’s without getting into establishing causality beyond correlation.

Sorry to be a pain in the ass, but just asserting they work, and then stating “oh, but in observed reality they haven’t” is an appalling way to make an argument.
