Just pointing out that the entire edifice–from the first word when they get up in the morning, to the last breath over apertif at night–is nothing but a system of lies. That’s true for the papers, the thinkers, the politicians, and even the people. There isn’t a genuine bone left on the continent–or on several continents at this point. Small lies started long ago have been coddled and fostered and festered until now anyone who tells the slightest truth–about anything–is considered ridiculous, if not a mortal threat; one which we won’t tell ourselves we are going to arrange to have murdered while we smile over dinner.

Yes, everything said by everybody, everywhere, is nothing but a tissue of lies. That’s why it can never make sense. So when are we going to start talking about what’s really going on?
