Interesting painting; the symmetry is curious…

It’s also curious how little things change from day to day; the U.S. driven coup in Venezuela seems to have failed.
The military is steadfast, for the most part, and important allies stand firm with Maduro.
Even the financial moves are too little, too late.
If this proves out, it is further evidence of a diminished empire; bloviating to an indifferent world audience…
Pence got humiliated and actually gasped, when his speech died to silence at the applause line…

I gotta say: as times goes by, in a perverse way, I’m loving that egoist, narcissist, asshole Trump; single handedly, he’s destroying the international relationships of the American Empire; long live the Donald…

One might almost think he’s collecting these idiots into a playpen where they can be watched then letting them hang themselves with their own incompetence and bad ideas. Oopsie! Did some anonymous tipster tell Maduro where the illegal arms shipments are coming in with the “humanitarian aid” and blowing the lid off your plans? Whoever could have done that?

Did the U.S. ring-fence Russia, forcing them to pre-establish independence from the US$, and hammer all the Anglo oligarchs operating there, increasing Putin’s influence?

Did his trade incompetence and NATO demands force Europe into becoming independent from the U.S. or watch their military and economy die, basically dismantling all the structures of empire?

Yeah, there’s a lot of that going around. The stated intentions vs the actual results, most of which point the same way. This from the same idiot who’s so incopetent he accidentally defeated 15 candidates and 2 political parties. Oopsie! My bad!

    “anitisemitism sells.”

And WHY does it sell? Every day for the 80 years(!!) since WWII anti-Semitism gets smaller. Meanwhile, rural Frenchmen, rural Britons, 30,000 rural Americans, and less-wealthy Greece are systematically destroyed. By any possible accounting, Jews are not today’s victims, Macron, the Gilet Jaunes are. YOU are attacking the national victims, the weakest, poorest, and most disenfranchised. And people noticed:

“This is an order that is strong against the weak…and weak against the strong”. “…simply by declaring their poverty, these people have been ideologically criminalized.” – Michel Onfray

And Corbyn isn’t anti-Semitic either. He just doesn’t like the NHS collapsing with Israel getting free billions from the U.S. and U.K. and then shooting half their citizens in the streets. But who cares about the truth, right? How do you know it’s a lie? They opened their mouth and said it, and CNN/The Guardian reported it. Because if it were true, they’d drop it on page 63, in the 9,900th word of a 10,000-word article. (looking at you, Grey Lady) https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2018/09/20/us/politics/russia-interference-election-trump-clinton.html

That should be CNN’s new motto: “Strong against the weak; weak against the strong.”

Moving on, Macron wouldn’t stage an elaborate media hoax complete with provable leaks, like say, Comey and McCabe, or misattribute actual events like say, Mueller having to pay restitution for falsely convicting Stephen Hatfill for anthrax, or make up an entire hoax from whole cloth to get useful headlines, like Jussie Smollett or the BBC release on the fake Syrian chemical attack? Because that never happens. Remember citizen: “Iraq has weapons of mass destruction and ties to al-Qaeda” and the Gilet Jaunes have ties to Hitler and the KKK.

“Cuba Denies Having Forces In Venezuela, Says US Readies Intervention (R.)”

Here’s an irony: Cuba denies they have forces in Venezuela, the U.S. promises they do. Yet the nation WITHOUT forces is the bad guy, and the nation WITH illegal military involvement and who pays $5B in election-tampering is the good guy. Gotcha. Sounds like Ukraine.

And PS Ukraine has made a dangerous, perhaps fatal new turn, quietly in the news, by forcing Ukraine into NATO by Constitutional decree. If London and NY want to get nuked with Russia’s 20 new world-breaking weapons, this is a good way to do it. And I think for Western leaders, getting their citizens nuked is an outcome long planned and most earnestly desired.

“From the same “independent” pollsters comes an October poll that says only 40% would have voted for Putin. While he was re-elected 6 months earlier with 76%.”

Because true news: Pussy Riot has declared themselves President of Russia and were immediately recognized as the only legitimate leader by Pompeo, America, and the EU. True story! At least more true than Robert Mueller’s anthrax convictions.

“NBC related an admission …that they have discovered no evidence of Trump-Russia collusion to date.”

After 25 months continuously reporting it as fact, they’ve definitively found nothing. Now after saying Trump must-have-done-nameless-wrong-that-was-not-illegal (and therefore how was it wrong?) Schiff and the House Committee are opening a dozen new investigations. Into what? They have no idea. Correct me if I’m wrong, but don’t you at least need SUSPICION of a crime to investigate that specific crime? Nope. Not in our new Constitution-free America you don’t. You also don’t need a courtroom to imprison someone. Ask Assange.

“Not a single Trump official has been accused of colluding with the Russian government or even of committing any crimes during the 2016 campaign. As The New York Times recently noted, “no public evidence has emerged”

Yeah, like I said, everybody knew this, knows this, always knew it, and they don’t care. We are an entirely truth-and-fact-free society. #StarkRavingMadness. Here’s an idea: why not get him on something he DID do, like bomb Syria, attack Yemen, or topple Venezuela? How about for warrantless wiretapping of every American citizen? How about for allowing foreign nations to warrantless wiretap all Americans at will via Five Eyes? How about for 400 military bases with no declared war? How about for upholding federal drug laws that the 18th Amendment proves the Federal level has no jurisdiction over without another, new amendment? How about for illegal search-and-seizure? How about for similar overreach in unauthorized interference in the markets, in energy, in education, health care, and every other part of government not delineated in the 10th Amendment?

    Nope. It’s Russia.

As Mr. Idle would say, “pray that there’s intelligent life somewhere up in space/Cause there’s bugger-all down here on Earth”

I’ve had extended opportunities, while driving to Yoakum and back, and gardening there, to consider our predicament as stewards of life on Earth.
The machine that supports our lives grinds forward to burn all of the coal and oil as quickly as possible, killing us in the process.
    It’s a conundrum, but it’s not insoluble.
The solution has been practiced, for thousands of years, in many different parts of our world, and it arose independently.
The core of the solution is subsistence farming the same farms for generation after generation, improving and adapting the methods and techniques and soil, and passing down the wisdom.
If people somehow survive the next 50 years, it will be groups somewhere out there doing this.
    http://www.johndayblog.com/2019/02/get-there-from-here.html

Rob Uri writes an excellent article detailing how the system, itself assures this problem we have. No solution can arise from it, or be allowed by it.
Unbeknownst to most Americans, the nation’s forests were clear-cut from coast to coast in the mid-late nineteenth century. Photographs from the era show denuded landscapes— no trees, no animals, and streams still poisoned from the runoff in the present, for as far as the eye can see. The scars from nineteenth and twentieth century strip mining in Pennsylvania draw direct geographical and historical lines to the mountaintop removal that is taking place in West Virginia today…
These natural resources produced the bounty of American capitalism every bit as much as the manufacturing prowess of the Second Industrial Revolution. In turn, this combination of low-cost resources, manufacturing prowess and natural borders (the oceans) produced the military might that defines America in the present. The logic of weapons and weaponry pervades American capitalism. Death and destruction, domination and control, are what America does…
The relevance for a Green New Deal is that confronting extractive and polluting industries is to confront both ‘private’ interests and the American state. Representatives of the state perceive these industries to be extensions of state power. Again, the U.S. Army explains the relationship here. Placing restrictions on multinational corporations and Wall Street is to reduce state power, goes the logic. And the belief is that the relationship is symbiotic— what benefits one, benefits the other.
There is a long history here. General Smedley Butler described his role leading U.S. military incursions abroad as a ‘gangster for capitalism.’ Economic Hitman John Perkins brought this corporate-state relation into the twenty-first century as coup-engineer for corporate interests…
Democrats claim that the dividing line for environmental resolution is between belief in climate change and unbelief. But the actual result is (1) they believe and (2) they perpetuate the problem.

    And furthermore…
Nick Sandmnn (Not Arch-Villain Sandman from Batman) is perhaps best covered today on RT, from reporter Helen of DesTroy (who is not credited on the articles she does for RT, but…)
    https://www.rt.com/usa/451880-washington-post-covington-lawsuit/
By implying that Sandmann “engaged in acts of racism by ‘swarming’ Phillips, ‘blocking’ his exit away from the students, and otherwise engaging in racist misconduct,” the Post “fanned the flames of the social media mob into a mainstream media frenzy,” compounding the threats and bullying directed at the teen, while its failure to fact-check – the unedited video was freely available at the time of publication – confirms its “utter and knowing disregard for the truth.”

MCCABE TO CNN: “IT’S POSSIBLE” TRUMP IS A RUSSIAN ASSET

If you accept that headline and don’t question that statement then democracy has rolled over in its grave.

I’ll give you a helpjng hand

    Define “possible”

    Define asset

Determine what it means to ask the question

This falls into the same category as asking,”When did you stop beating your wife” when the intent is to make the listeners believe that you were beating your wife.

MCCABE TO CNN: “IT’S POSSIBLE” TRUMP IS A RUSSIAN ASSET

If you accept that headline and don’t question that statement then democracy has rolled over in its grave.

That may be some time ago. I’m still wondering, as I hinted in What Comes After McCabe?, in what kind of environment McCabe can have the confidence to do an interview ‘just’ to promote a book, incriminate himself in it and throw Rosenstein to the wolves. The kind of environment, obviously, in which both still walk around free. But would it have been possible without Russiagate, which has proven to be only innuendo and empty accusing? And which, lest we forget, still continues. Isn’t it supremely ironic that Mueller’s main objective today is trying to come up with some narrative that justifies his own probe? It’s circular ‘logic’ at its very best.

But why is McCabe so cocky about his treasonous(-like) behavior? Imagine someone like him doing an interview like that 2 years (or 6) into Obama’s presidency, saying it was possible Barack was an asset of China. Just imagine. And don’t forget McCabe’s wife was at Fusion GPS and involved in the Steele dossier, tailor-made to start off Mueller.

    #StarkRavingMadness indeed!

“Evil appears as good in the minds of those whom god leads to destruction” — Sophocles.

Only I doubt very much that god is leading our leaders anywhere. They’re off on a frolic of their own and aren’t listening to any god or gods except those of fortresses, armaments and filthy lucre.

Listening to McCabe discussing Trumps collusion with Russia has left me incredulous.
The inmates are now truly in charge of the asylum.
I have to learn to accept my country no longer exists (if in fact, it ever did): Even Potemkin himself would be impressed…
