    Pablo Picasso Visage 1928
I was struck by that portrait; Picasso never ceases to amaze; a true master of his art.
This is a time a photograph would fail, IMO, or, at least would pale if compared…

    • Chelsea Manning Risks Jail To Fight WikiLeaks Grand Jury (SP)

Well shiver me timbers; what did I say just days ago?
Manning was freed from her cell, but remains a prisoner for the rest of her life.
Her transgressins will never be forgot!
She’ll be forever hunted and persecuted…unto her death…
Think about that! If you dare…

If we can’t kill them with bad policy, then try with despair:

“The Climate Change Paper So Depressing It’s Sending People to Therapy”

    https://www.vice.com/en_us/article/vbwpdb/the-climate-change-paper-so-depressing-its-sending-people-to-therapy

It’s kind of funny, actually, since everything they’ve predicted has been wrong.

    “Trump-Russia figure Paul Manafort jailed”.

We are a post-truth and post-reality society. This while it’s so easy to go after or even impeach Trump for Venezuela, Space Wars, INF Treaty, failure to prosecute hundreds of obvious and public political crimes…

“ECB’s Surprise Policy Moves Send Shivers Through Global Stock Markets (MW)”

ECB loosens and hands out free money and the markets and EU bank stocks crash? That’s not expected, what does that mean? Note if capital flows flee the Euro they will fly to the core currency and economy: the U.S. Dow-and-Treasury. Since he failed this, failed the ’08 bailouts, failed negative interest rates, and failed to see the ’08 crash coming, can we fire him now? A: No, Nevah! Why would we when we’ve transferred almost all the people’s wealth to the insiders and there’s still a little wealth and freedom left to take? Right Mr. Powell?

    “Fed QE Unwind”

It may not be unwinding at all. It may be transferred from the Fed to the Treasury, or even to CitiGroup and Morgan. Since they’re all the same people, what’s the difference? Remember, FASAB now permits NO accounting for ANYTHING in the U.S. Government, including the Treasury. ANYTHING can be made secret, off-book, AND NOT EVEN SHOW A LINE ITEM. That is to say, the U.S. is not a democracy as there is no longer any public oversight, and the U.S. Treasury Bond now has infinite risk and zero provable assets. So what’s a little accounting fraud between friends? Mnuchin can print up AOC’s $100 Trillion tomorrow and not report it, and they wouldn’t do this to save the stock market?

“Blackout Darkens Much Of Venezuela (AFP)”

Guiado is back with his U.S. mercenaries, Rubio recommends attacking them violently and they blame this random power outage on the guys who just yesterday threatened them? Clearly that’s cray-cray. They only thing that could possibly be worse would be to give in to Guiado and these illegal, immoral, brainless maniacs.

PS, weird kind of dictatorship that allows constant protests, lets traitors roam freely, and lets the entire state media be against them: Maduro ought to look into that. …Or maybe we should, and start telling the truth: most of the reason things are bad there is that under U.S. currency sanctions Venezuela is NOT ALLOWED to pay their bills and buy goods. Their money has been frozen in Texas, then fed to Sachs, and stolen in London, and hypothecated to hide London’s open theft and ongoing gold shortage. …But I blame the poor and powerless. If only they’d voted for Exxon, with state policy enforced by Blackwater and run by Halliburton, this wouldn’t happen. I mean, if we’re going to rig the vote in California and not arrest anyone, surely we’re willing to do it in Caracas, no?

“Chelsea Manning will face a closed contempt hearing after she refused to answer questions”

Illegal on its face, but it’s been 100 years since we had any law here. “No person… shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself…” a super quote from, um, someplace…oh yeah, the first and highest U.S. law book, the “U.S. Constitution” and the “Bill of Rights.” Number 5. Crazy, I know. So Manning has every right to never answer anything, ever, and tell them with each question to go screw their mother. That’s in the same lawbook, Rule #1: Free Speech.” But tell that to Armstrong, Stone, Assange…and for that matter, me, you, Joe Facebook, and the line of whistleblower bodies that keep appearing…

Never start down this road. You won’t like where it’s headed.
