    Odilon Redon The boat 1900
Lovely, Argh! Got me again; I’m a sucker for gaff rigged, heavy displacement, sailing vessels.
They’re damned hard to sail for those accustomed to Marconi rigged boats.

The U.S. just can’t (or won’t) wrap their minds around the fact the Houthis may just be that damn good…
    My vote is with them.
The rest can just choke on the reality…

    #49928

That the Houthis are not capable of the attack, whatever it was, is exactly what the neocons want you to think.

So let me get this straight:

Saudi Arabia comes back from an oil deal where because of the U.S., the world is oversupplied, oil is backing up in this very refinery, their budget gets no reprieve, certain bankruptcy to follow, and worse this kingdom may fall due to a total humiliating loss to the hillbillies of the peninsula, the Houthis.

Israel comes back from Russia where not only were they prohibited from openly attacking Iran/Syria just for laughs, but Putin said, “while you’re asking, I’m telling you you can’t touch Lebanon either.” Lebanon the eternal punching bag since they attempted to set up a Swiss-like oil banking center in the late 70s and fairly compete with inside bankers such as are allied with Israel. If Bibi doesn’t get an attack he goes to jail.

After months of lead time and warnings, Europe is too broke to pay off Iran, who has already openly said they were bribed by European leaders, and if the agreement fails, Iran will out their high-level corruption for profit and for merry sport.

AND after months of pressure and an attempt to start WWIII to blame the world financial collapse on war with a drone shoot down in Iran, Rahouni finally roots out the war-happy drone-shooters in the Revolutionary Guard and agrees to peace talks with the United States.

Peace breaks out, war is averted, a 50-year attack on Iran potentially comes to an end, and like NoKo, Iran opens up and releases resources, oil prices drop, and everyone gets rich and prosperous.

…And only THEN Iran decides to start WWIII without the slightest warning by bombing Saudi Arabia in a wildly overt act of aggression, which for some reason they deny and the Yemenis keep claiming credit for?

Uh-huh. Pull the other one, because like the 30th gas attack in Syria, this makes no g——d sense at all.

I’ve got a much more plausible theory: the war mongers in the dark CIA, in Iran, and in Europe all want a war and will do anything to prevent a peace from breaking out that would cause them, just like Bibi, like E.U. officials, like Macron, like Blair, like Brennan, and like JPMorgan, to be prosecuted for 40 years of fraud, murder, and war crimes against humanity, lose all power, and have to cede control back to the people under a democracy that has restored rule of law. Clearly THEY have a motive for war. Iran doesn’t.

Thankfully and surprisingly, looks like markets are nailed on to this reality as well, although the 20% price shock on $1.4 QUADRILLION in derivatives has started a landslide in the overnight Repo, if not an avalanche at this time. But those derivatives won’t come in the money until month-end. If the system goes down, we may end up blaming the right people for a change, and sending them to jail for this diabolical market-rigging, human trafficking, and open, illegal attempt to start WWIII and kill a few million for sport, and that’s not something Brennan, Blair, Macron, and Bibi want.

The attempt to start a war in the U.S. isn’t going well either. Instead the liars are slowly being discredited, retracting stories almost as fast as they can invent them.

Darn, since the DNC found a way to exclude Tulsi from debate 3 she has no chance for people to be aware of her message and vote for her.
Look, this is cute, but I had to go to Russia to find it!
Hawaii Congresswoman and Democratic presidential hopeful Tulsi Gabbard took a shot at President Donald Trump after he tweeted about the US being “locked and loaded” and ready to respond pending Saudi conclusions on who was responsible for this weekend’s drone attacks against the country’s oil supplies.
Addressing the president at his @realDonaldTrump handle, Gabbard accused him of awaiting “instructions from his Saudi masters,” and blasting the president using his own “America First” rhetoric.
“Having our country act as Saudi Arabia’s b**** is not ‘America First’,” Gabbard wrote.

“The level of human suffering is just indescribable,” says McCann

We, here, know who is causing this suffering.

Why can’t McCann and his team put a stop to the conditions causing that suffering?

Those elites causing this suffering are doing so with impunity.
Millions of people, (yellow vest, umbrella, populist, etc.) have expressed their displeasure with what the elites are doing. The elites, from dictators to pretend democratic leaders, have continuously ignored “the rif-raf”.

However, changes are coming. Yesterday is gone.

So let me see if I have this right? This according to the European Court Press Release…

The Hermitage Fund (Browder) has 3 subsidiaries that are taken over by Russians and subsequently apply for tax refunds and receive them from the Russian Gov. to the tune of 145 million Euros. Browder’s attorney, Magnitskiy, is then arrested as part of a criminal group accused of tax evasion after alleging fraud in said the incident. He dies in prison due to lack of “medical care.” It’s reported by the attending physician that Magnitskiy starts to behave in an aggressive fashion. He’s handcuffed and beaten with a rubber truncheon. An emergency psychiatric team is called but by the time they are admitted to the prison he is dead.

Four years later Magnitskiy is convicted posthumously of tax evasion. The European court found it credible that he was beaten to death but an investigation by the Russian Gov. found no persons chargeable in his death.

So the entire assertion of credibility regarding the Russian Gov. and therefore the denial of one essential complaint of wrongful detention by Magnitskiy’s family is that Magnitskiy was being investigated for tax evasion prior to the charges of fraud alleged by him with regard to the take over of the subsidiaries of the Hermitage Fund. The European Court could find nothing to the contrary about Magnitskiy’s alleged crimes some 12 years later.

    What a crock of BS.

PC, Magnitsky=Bill Browder. Nothing about this doesn’t smell like a pair of twin skunks. And that’s certainly not just Russia. Browder tried to be a ‘western oligarch’, as Russia was being sold off under US/Yeltsin rules, and Putin didn’t like that at all. You had at the same time guys like Khodorkovsky and Beresovsky who had been stripping the country from the inside. It was all about transferring the value of Russian assets abroad. And Putin decided that was a bad idea. And then the west was fooled by Browder into thinking Magnitsky was this innocent fool who was the ideal person to turn into an example. He was not. Hard to find impartial things about this in the west. But Bill Browder is far from innocent.

Saudi Arabia has the third largest military budget after the US and China. How exactly can it have no clue as to what happened? How can it not have prevented it? How can it not have detected it?

No report I have seen has emphasised the enormity of such a well defended country being attacked so easily!

Most worryingly, one report says an anonymous source claims the US military are saying it was 20 cruise missiles fired from Iran. Hopefully this is just fake news. It would be extremely easy to verify as there would be a large amount of identifiable debris. Hopefully the ever gullible Trump will not do anything rash on unverified claims.

We do not even know what attacked the facility. Weapons don’t evaporate! There should be enough debris to know what it was and have a reasonable idea of the country of manufacture.

If Iran is attacked it could easily escalate into a global nuclear war. Also, while the US may have a surplus of oil [in theory], Europe doesn’t and would be toast!

The US has made impressive, expensive offensive weapons and platforms, which were profitable for the military-industrial-complex. Russia and Iran have long had to find cheap ways to make do and defend themselves from attack, and also to create deterrent’s to attack. US and allies like Saudi Arabia and Israel are having to suddenly come to terms with these capabilities. (No, Mr. President, you don’t want an open war with Iran, nor do your regional allies, now that they see what that might mean.)
Yesterday, during a press conference in Ankara with his Turkish and Iranian colleagues, Putin trolled Saudi Arabia (video @38:20) with a similar offer as he had made to Trump:
Q: Does Russia intend to provide Saudi Arabia with any help or support in restoring its infrastructure?
Putin: As for assisting Saudi Arabia, it is also written in the Quran that violence of any kind is illegitimate except when protecting one’s people. In order to protect them and the country, we are ready to provide the necessary assistance to Saudi Arabia. All the political leaders of Saudi Arabia have to do is take a wise decision, as Iran did by buying the S-300 missile system, and as President Erdogan did when he bought Russia’s latest S-400 Triumph anti-aircraft system. They would offer reliable protection for any Saudi infrastructure facilities.
President of Iran Hassan Rouhani: So do they need to buy the S-300 or the S-400?
Vladimir Putin: It is up to them to decide.
Erdogan, Rouhani and Putin all laughed over this exchange.

The Pantsir Missile System and sophisticated electronic jamming measures are what you need to defend your refineries and nuclear reactors from swarms of cheap drones carrying bombs. Too bad nobody makes that stuff… except Russia, of course.

    Bedtime for Bibi:
Netanyahu basically lost the Israeli election, because he needed an absolute majority in the Knesset to get around the legal process which will put him in prison for some of the crimes that he and his wife Sarah did.
No party got a majority. A lot more dancing will be done before there is a new Israeli gub’mint.
Initial exit polls Tuesday reportedly indicate Netanyahu failed to secure a parliamentary majority. And while Israel’s three major television stations had challenger Benny Gantz’s centrist Blue and White party holding a slight lead over Netanyahu’s Likud party, neither will reportedly be able to control a majority in the Knesset — at least without the support of former Netanyahu ally Avigdor Lieberman’s Yisrael Beitenu party, which refused to join Netanyahu’s coalition in April. Lieberman may very well end up playing the role of kingmaker.

Now that Israeli voting is over… Only two of these candidates have the military background for National Security Adviser. Bolton never did.
President Trump Tuesday afternoon revealed to reporters his short list of candidates to replace former national security adviser John Bolton. He presented his “top 5 candidates” which had been whittled down from 15 he was previously reported to be considering.
    Per Axios the finalists are:
    Top hostage negotiator Robert O’Brien
Former deputy national security adviser Ricky Waddell (yeah, Major General, but sleazy career in central America)
Department of Energy Under Secretary for Nuclear Security Lisa Gordon-Hagerty

What if the North and the South both had nuclear weapons during the American Civil War?
Risking further inflaming tensions over Kashmir, a chief minister in the Indian state of Gujarat warned Pakistan to brace for losing its part of the contested state to New Delhi as it is ready to ‘re-unite’ pre-1947 India.
Islamabad “should be ready to lose Pakistani-occupied Kashmir,” Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani was quoted as saying by local media, using the Indian term for the disputed territory. The bellicose remark came weeks after India stripped Jammu and Kashmir region of its autonomous status, which the minister said provides an opening for Indian territorial claims.
Now, Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) too is ours … For fulfilling the dream of united India, we are ready to move forward for PoK.
Both countries were part of British India until the 1947 partition which triggered bitter sectarian divides and led to the Kashmir dispute. India and Pakistan claim Kashmir in full, but control only parts of it.
