Well, what if there were only one tenth of the people in hospital that there were before the vaccine?

So you are implying that the real number of deaths could be between 200,000 and 2 million, in what the site claims is roughly half of Europe. That to me sounds absurd.
That to me is the same kind of fear propaganda employed by the “other side.” As I have mentioned, most people within my circle of family and friends have been vaccinated. Other than feeling crappy for a day, maybe two, nobody has died.
I don’t doubt people do die, but not in the numbers implied, and I suspect it is within the same cohort that the disease itself takes out. Also, I saw no mention of the 1 to 10 percent reported in the link. I believe that is a figure bandied about for the U.S. based VAERS. Is it also “true” of the Euro reporting system? Lets also keep in mind, just like the fact that someone dying from something other than Covid but with Covid is counted in the body count, the vaccine reaction reporting is subject to similar error.
In my opinion, this kind of wild speculation might as well be a plant to discredit “anti-vaxxers.”
I feel similar about the rampant ADE speculation– 1 in 3 dying?! Let’s hope not because that will be a horror show beyond horror shows. And there is no sense in discussing such a scenario at this time. We have enough to be concerned about. It is fear porn, which we have no shortage of at tthe moment. Please, let’s take a breath. A little restraint would go a long way here.

It is perhaps unfortunate that my post follows that of our friend democratis.Their post was not up while I composed mine. I am not lending any support to their stance–in fact I am trying to suggest removal of any fodder for their mill. I understand their completely mainstream views, but if you are going to join a discussion consisting of people who hold almost diametrically opposed beliefs, it is advisable to do so with some sort of reason, not to mention at least a touch of wit, humor, or intelligence–please pick at least one–and not snot-nosed antagonism.

Well, to be quite honest, this really sounds as though it’s the sort of scenario that vaccinating something like 85% of your population was supposed to prevent.

Many of you suffer from two or more of these and might explain how you can probably rationalize walking further and further out on that thin branch that you’re on.

I read stuff i disagree with all the time, i also never quit living my life like many did during the last year and a half. And i know of not one person who has died. I know that the survival rate is 99.8% unless you’re a very large person, have cancer, and other maladies. Why do i need to take an experimental shot because of that? I know of two 95 year old grand mothers who tested “positive” last year and both didn’t even have a sniffle. So please explain your reasoning? Cause that’s what you’re really arguing about isn’t it? You want us to submit to the shot.

You are correct, but the government isn’t telling people that is it? .GOV is telling people its ok to call others plague rats. We’re not the dangerous ones.
I come to TAE to AVOID group think. Ya know, the group think we’re bombarded with every single day on every mainstream outlet. The mainstream BS stats (covid and vaccine) that not one journalist questions. The vaccine deaths that not one person has investigated or proven to be inflated. The chain yanking “the science” has gleefully undertaken over the past 18 months.
I’m in NY. I know what group think is. It’s vaccine mandates for a job, test mandates for a job, mask mandates, lock downs, failed businesses, people wearing masks when they’re alone walking up a street with no one else on it. Group think is when nearly everyone I know has been injected with a vaccine that uses novel technology never used in human vaccines … and which has NO long term safety data. (a fact even deflat and democ can’t debate). Group think is when parents inject that novel substance into their children. You know, the young people who should have a long time left on this planet but, hey, who cares about long-term effects?
So TAE was the place that kept me a little bit sane. The place that let me know I wasn’t alone in resisting the f’ing group think that got us where we are right now. But I’m only one commenter here so I’ll wander off now.

If this ADE does happen, it will be many months to maybe even a full year from now. For now, it would appear that the Delta Scariant is less lethal than its Alpha predecessor. The media is trying to tell us that it can make you more likely to get severe illness and it overwhelms the immune systems of more young and previously healthy people. Maybe that’s just more of the scare-mongering propaganda of which we’ve been way too much from the mainstream media, maybe there’s something to it. Time and observation will tell, I guess.
This place is becoming completely unreadable. Please do something about it before I have to. It has to be a social space where people can have conversations. We were doing great for a while, but it’s all gone. In a social space you make room for people, your don’t fill up every inch.
That’s the thing with trying to sort out the truth about Covid, there’s a frustratingly high signal-to-noise ratio that seems to come along with it. A lot of that is deliberate human social, political, and medical fuckery, and a lot of it is the “phantom menace” nature of the virus and its effects.
No, this is simply not anyone’s personal Facebook page. Don’t treat it as such. Before posting anything, ask what value it has to others. Space is limited here, 160-170 comments is far too much. I can’t read my own comments section any more. There are commenters I like to read, but I don’t want to scroll thru dozens of comments to find them.

Its a battle field where I’m underqualified to participate.@Raul: I would completely understand if you decided to start moderating with a fairly heavy hand the way JMG does at his blog. The quality of discourse over there remains pretty high as a result of his pro-active efforts. Internet forums that are a free-for-all have a way succumbing to the myriad foibles of human nature. But I’ll start the ball rolling and try to avoid posting for the rest of the day unless I find a video or an article I think the regulars would appreciate and post that with nothing more than a short description of what I’m linking to.

Argubots know why. Arguing is more immediately engaging and immediately satisfying than careful consideration of ideas and data. Add a group vs single person dynamic, and you can guarantee days of mostly meaningless fun.
