Were Other Humans the First Victims of the Sixth Mass Extinction?
This article opens the paradigmatic question of the essential natural characteristics of social groups of Homo Sapiens. It looks at the genetic and fossil history of our engagements with Denisovans Neanderthal and other human races. We shared genes, then exacted genocide upon them. It was a fairly quick progression, even in ancient times, something like a thousand years. Later, with ships, bankers, guns and smallpox, the Americas would be conquered much faster.
To my mind, the essential competitive edge described here is sociopathy, the ability to kill without hesitation or reluctance, and to do so at any scale. Perhaps those other human races lacked sociopathy. We can imagine ourselves completely without it in our society, but questions arise about how things happen in wars and finance, and power relations.
Sociopaths seem to have been essential to our human tendency to overgrow our systems of food production. Sociopaths lead us to population reduction when this happens. It’s brutal, but having sociopaths in a group is a competitive advantage to lacking sociopaths in a group.
We are at a difficult juncture in history, massively overgrown on the long term support system of agriculture and nature, by the one-time pulse of fossil fuels, fossil water, and the discovery of iron, copper, rare-earth metals and uranium.
We have the intellectual and cognitive ability to meet our global needs as humans and as parts of nature, differently, but our nature is to be ruled by our sociopathic members in times of crisis.
We see it around us, wherever there is mass killing and expropriation of wealth. Our sociopaths get ignored or whitewashed. Their sociopaths, and even citizens, get tarred.
The best I can come up with is that the sociopathic rulers are now as threatened as ordinary citizens, by the vast destructive power they wield. Self-preservation dictates that they condone non-destructive methods going forward, but they are human and they panic, too. Meanwhile, they experiment with new forms of war, with their mass control of other humans, through finance and media, as well as armies.
It’s up to us to keep the pressure down and derive day to day solutions which do not involve execution, expropriation and genocide.
This will be a long, slow process, subject to immediate catastrophic failure, but what else is there to do?

The latest count in San Francisco shows there are over 700 occupied vehicles parked on city streets, way up from the tally in 2018 when there were 432 inhabited vehicles. The new parking lot on San Jose Avenue will start providing a new home for 30 RVs with plugs, showers, water, office services — all on site with 24/7 security provided by Urban Alchemy.

Your timeline is probably off. Like mega-fauna, humans and Neanderthals lived side-by-side for lord how long, 30,000 years? Although there’s nothing wrong with the premise, it’s like claiming humans made animals like sabertooths extinct. Sure, but why only THOSE animals, the rest, buffalo and grizzlies chased humans around in North America for another 10,000 years and were still chasing them — with the animals having the upper hand honestly — until William Penn arrived. And in places like Africa for like 200+ years longer, or even today. So “Humans”? Which humans? The Iroquois had the largest army in North America in the Revolutionary war yet there were more animals than ever since they had exterminated all the rival tribes into Ohio and the Midwest instead.
Same here: Neanderthals co-existed for mega-thousand years, longer than the U.S. has existed, longer than Britain, longer than Rome has been a city, and just ONE DAY they wiped them out? Maybe, but there’s something else going on. Human version 3.0? And what would that be? Not brains, not tools, not war, those all existed already.

+ have naps like a catMost people aren’t sociopathic. Yet most human beings adhere to politico-economic structures dominated by sociopaths.
How does this happen? My guess is: language. Language lets us cooperate in greater numbers than line of sight/hearing and few proto-linguisms such as many animals, some not so bright, possess. Language, particularly nonverbal symbolic/textual language, let orders, rules, decrees be shared among many thousands. Add automated replication a la Gutenberg, and then modern electronic transmission/facsimile tech, and we can follow leaders in the millions and now (new and improved!), billions.
This allows us to abstract our Knowledge of Good and Evil into structures much larger than the individual. Used to be, you had to hang around the campfire night after night (wasn’t much else to do beside fucking and star-gazing once the sun went down) in order to share knowledge into systems of beliefs, rules, ethics, protocols, etc…
Now we spend 13-plus years being conditioned by mostly standardized indoctrination centers called ‘schools’. When not in school, phonography/TV/vid games/internet tend to occupy our time (we’re instinctively mesmerized by objects that move or emit light). Now, since Herr Jobs, the deceased King of Apple (I find the apple correspondence with Edenic Fall mythology intriguing), we carry the phonography/TV/games/internet down the street with us.
The result is millions of people sharing the same indoctrinated concept of reality, and acting upon same in vast numbers like herds shepherded by ghosts.
To me, the moral of the Tower of Babel story is obviously not the size of the ziggurat, but this:

But mental illness is certainly natural. Random variation and natural selection create anomalies in our already anomalous brains that sometimes find a persistent niche for the survival of those selfish genes carrying the codes for said brain anomalies.
That said, mental illness CAN be induced and is obviously being inflicted, wittingly and unwittingly, on humanity at large, with Japan and USA (imo) vying for Who’s Fucking Craziest, jah?
As for the traditionalist living in harmony with nature: technology ruins that as soon as it arrives. The Laplanders are now capitalist resource mega-squanderers since snowmobiles and cellphones let them herd much larger herds of caribou, and with much less human power, even if they may still use their teeth to castrate male caribou in the traditional manner.

There is no such thing as humanity. That’s a statistical concept. There is a species called homo sapiens, and a vast sense shared by most members of that species that homo saps own the planet and can do as they wish. Delusion of that grand a scale is pert nigh incurable and obviously doomed. Even God gave up on us, and settled for a salvage plan whereby our sense of identity as individuals could be preserved in some kind of afterlife,. You know: let Jeebus save you. With or without reincarnation. You know, let Vishnu save you. Or something like that. Being raised in Xtiandom, and finding the Bible more useful overall for understanding how we manage to fuck up everything we touch by making it “better”, I camp with the Jeebusites. But that’s just my personal metaphysics.

Only democracy I’ve read about was either very small and tribal, or else based on owning slaves. Democracy is based on the foolish notion that “humanity” knows what the fuck it is doing. I find the popular faith in the Common Man emotionally heartening but logically impotent. I had a magical night in July 1979 on Juneway Terrace beach on Lake Michigan along the north side of Chicago. Somehow a bunch of us, 6 or 7, drank/smoked our way intop a small group that spend the night under an old humongous plane tree right through dawn. We all knew we were into something special. A brief evanescent quasi-hippy tribe.
Then some big burly dude came in and started acting all tough and shit, ruining the vibe. Being compliant little school-raised adult children of the middle class, we didn’t fight but instead started making our exit moves… when of a sudden, Norman, dear Jamaican Norman, came up from a kneeling position (we were all asprawl one way or another) and drove his fist pert near through the back of this sociopathic dickhair’s face.

In 198, I got to see communism first hand while working in a Siberian coal mine.
All I saw everywhere was the total lack of hope for the future. All their energy went towards surviving. They couldn’t talk to me but I could clearly see it in their eyes before they looked away.
Everyone was too busy drinking, so they could at least temporarily escape from the reality of their worker’s paradise!
My construction crew were always under the influence. I would watch my crew as they flowed off the steps of their business to see what kind of day I was going to have. The sobriety test for my crane operator was, could he crawl up upon the crawler and into the driver’s seat. If he couldn’t, we directed him to a nearby wooden crate to sleep.
These were ordinary people just like you and me. Good solid people.
Their mistake was being born into a country with a corrupt system that no matter what they did made them all look bad. It was a system designed to make good people fail!

Bosco: problem is, it’s very big, very deep, and very light. Reading geopolitics hours a day for years gets you a list of two columns: “That makes sense“, and “Huh, What is that?” So it’s hard to point to all the constellation dots that make up a sense that something is out there and exists: but this is all Intel work. Am I seeing an influencer over there or just a pattern out of noise? Or a real influencer but one I’m misinterpreting? Or one that is punking and misdirecting me? There’s no cure for it, it’s the nature of human models and objective reality, but in this field, where every breath is a scam and a lie, and the truth is surrounded by bodyguards, it’s far harder.

Trump was required to be squeaky, impossibly clean so there’d be no leverage over him, and because his books would end up in court when the FBI finally brought the case. Which they did and won. Same dozen anti-mafia guys just happen to be working with him now, in a similar project, except with a larger, worldwide mafia that includes ex-administrations and U.S. agencies.

Well, as he was a lifelong big-city DEMOCRAT, how about JFK Jr? “If my dear friend Donald Trump ever decided to sacrifice his fabulous billionaire lifestyle to become president he would be an unstoppable force for ultimate justice that Democrats and Republicans alike would celebrate,” This might be an apocryphal quote, but their friendship was real. Who were the enemies of the Kennedys, all dozen dead of them? At this point do you think the Mueller FBI and Brennan CIA don’t follow potential Presidential candidates decades ahead on a short list? We already know for fact they were also wire-tapping Cruz. So why not a few years earlier than that? Why on earth WOULDN’T they be? Because the law? Hahahahahahahaha. No one’s followed the law in 50 years.
So although JFK wasn’t really into politics, he sets up his mag “George”, basing for a Senate run — then presumably as a cast-iron lock for President — against Hillary Clinton. But oops! His small plane goes down in clear weather for no reason and she — a non-NYer — wins the Senate seat instead. So if you’re the Kennedy-Trump power-region, who are your supporters? Who are your enemies? With your presumed torchbearer down, your powerbloc, your “mafia” is in a sling compared to, say, the Clinton-CIA powerbloc. What do you do? You need a Don fast, because their faction has consolidated nearly all the power in the whole U.S. already.

They run U.S. vs the American people civil war scenarios regularly, and I’m sorry to say, THE MILITARY ALWAYS LOSES. Against our small-arms and guerrilla fire. Why they would run war-games as the people are supposed to be their employers, and the VERY THING THEY ARE PROTECTING, I won’t say, but we can all guess. Anyway, what do those, regular, periodic war games going back decades show? The Air Force always sides against the people. The Navy always ignores the people, follows the government, and covers the coasts. The Army is split but tips slightly towards the people. AND THE MARINES ALWAYS SIDE WITH THE PEOPLE, against everyone, every time. They are a much smaller, tougher force and not kidding around.
So if you’re promoting and electing a candidate, who are your backers? Military intel and the Marine Generals. Who surrounded Trump aside from the cabinet picks they forced on him? Military intel and the Marine Generals. What did we find recently, in the IG and other reports? The Trump administration appears to have been at least incidentally aware of the CIA/FBI surveillance throughout the campaign. How? Not by the CIA, not the FBI: that leaves military intel, it’s impossible to be anyone else. And who else? White knight comes over the hill and unexpectedly the NSA everyone thought was CIA/Obama-allied turns out to be siding with the Marine Generals and the Constitution. How? Against direct orders Admiral Rogers sets up a SCIF in Trump Tower and outlines the ways he is being surveilled, who his enemies are. Next day, media lambastes Trump for moving everybody and everything to Mar Lago, away from the 50,000 wiretaps we now know exist. And next? Trump stops listening to the CIA, ignores them at briefings, leaves the room when they’re talking. Why? Who is he getting intel from if not the Dulles/Brennan CIA?
At the extremely nervous and grave inauguration, 50 times Trump thanks who, says what? “We are returning the government to the people.” “America First.” Where have we heard “America First” before? Oh, yeah, it was the slogan of the generals purged from the Clinton Administration, who saw the wild Federal overreach beginning and tried to brace the military to resist the Presidental anti-Constitutionality and the Bush-CIA people. You know, just before a dozen of them died in a plane crash together. Or did you think the Federal government got this far out of hand and nobody ever resisted it and tried to re-assert the rule of law before? I mean AFTER Eisenhower said so and AFTER Kennedy Sr. said he’d smash the Dulles CIA and scatter them to the winds or die trying.
…Or you can believe, like CNN, NBC, ABC, BBC The Guardian, and Rachel Maddow, every day Trump gets up and wanders around eating cookies and watching T.V. like a 3-year-old, and every day for 1,460 days he goes to bed having accidentally shut down the Neo-Cons, the Neo-Libs, the CIA, and the DNC totally accidentally.
