Lots and lots of wordy kayfabe in the comments section today. I wonder who benefits?

I second your statement and question…who benefits?
…and it is not just yesterday; it is almost every Debt Rattle…

Nobody benefits as near as I can tell…except maybe the ego’s of those serial posters…

Ilargi’s comment section has devolved into personal bull horns for those with many words and nothing to say or add to this blog…
It is one reason I rarely comment any longer…

Hmmm, Emergency Powers, where have I heard that before?

Danger: You are being conditioned to view your freedom as selfish.

Just another part of “You’ll own nothing & like it”…

V: we comment to keep our sanity.

“Trudeau Unleashes ‘Emergency Powers Act’, Threatens Crowd-Funding Platforms With “Terrorist-Financing” For Protesters” This is not a peaceful protest,”

Really? Where’s the violence? Can you show me?

“Canadian Civil Liberties Association Condemns Trudeau for Invoking National Emergency over Truckers”

So they’re going to DO something and join the protest, right? Share their donations?

Today in “Things that Never Happen” Russia sent the U.S. a telegram to the State Department saying “We hereby declare, on February 16th, year of our Lord 2022, at 9:01am EET, will be formally invading Ukraine. We will begin with a APC number 324, driven by a Private named “Dmitry”. Sincerely, Russia.”

This is literally what you have to believe to watch CNN, NPR, CBC, etc. Please make it stop. Even the leader of Ukraine is publicly making fun of them. Not us! We believe it! Says Americans, Canadians, Brits, what does Zelenski, the President know? I know BETTER than him!

…Which is exactly what they said about President Trump, a guy with access to the whole U.S. secret state apparatus. Because I HAVEN’T read it, and can’t, and never will, I know better than a guy who can and has. Yup, sounds like EGO.

Actually according to CBC, CNN, NPR, Russia has ALREADY invaded, but invaded Canada and put all their truckers under “Telephon” mind control. To make them racist, so they will THEN go protest. Not kidding. This is their story. “MK Ultra” + “Scanners” is literally their personal reality and belief structure in life. And somehow we’re the weirdos here.

Oh and ALSO their story, calling out martial law on a peaceful protest is NOT an invasion and attack on Democracy and human rights. Nope. That’s necessary because of the endless violence no one can find, as the protest is more peaceful than the average town of similar size, and twice as peaceful as Ottawa’s average.

Anyhoo, Canadians DGAF, because Protesting is ALREADY not doing what you’re told, so when they told them to go home, obviously that’s time to keep not doing what you’re told. What is it Taibbi said? “It’s like these guys went to bad governing school”? And has anybody talked to them once yet?

All they have to do to end this and the government to get their rights back is Comply. All the Liberal government has to do is support the people and the workers uniting. That’s the Liberal Party manifesto, right?

As predicted, TD illegally cut off funds on the Canadian side, and no doubt stole them all — so that’s what? A $20 Million dollar heist now? Maybe they’ll finally get a clue and use Bitcoin. Or rather, a privacy version of Bitcoin. Then I can donate with a fair chance it won’t be tracked and instantly stolen.

That was the other thing: they had their state actors hack and smear GoSend and hand over their donor list to the Government (thereby using the government hack to avoid getting a legal warrant). Now they put them all on the CCP Social Credit list, no-fly list, no-political candidate list, and so on. Does anyone remember a few years ago the breathless relation that Trump was putting people on “Lists” like Nixon? (And vice versa both before and after) Nope. As Overton moves left on a hypersonic missile, calling martial law for peace (twice now, once already for CV), and making lists of all your citizens to trample their rights and destroy their lives – every day – thus destroying their children’s lives, if not actively abducting them and moving them to oh-so-safe foster care, is totally good, right, and normal. All the truly loving, caring people know: YOU CAN’T LEAVE ANYONE ALONE. Every person, in every country, at every moment, has to DO WHAT I SAY.

Okey-doke, we’ll see how that works out for ya.

“ Trudeau Authorizes Bank Accounts Frozen for Social Media Posts (CTH)”

Does anyone grasp this? This is NOT for the trucker protest. This is for anything you ever said, EVER. You were 15 and mouthing off to your friends? Now you’re 25 with two kids? FROZEN! Go live in a box on the Rideau Canal, you.

Hey, what was that thing Aaron Russo said, where his Rockefeller buddy said this was the Illuninati’s wet dream and would burn down the planet to get it? Remember that old conspiracy theory no one would believe? Spoiler!

Does anyone have a conspiracy theory to spare? All mine have come true.”

Top nation enacting it? The kindest, most tolerant … most LIBERAL one. Nah, I don’t think we should support the Truckers vs unaccountable, undeserved, illegal, human-rights carpet-bombing, life-ending martial law, run by a BlackFace PM who can’t prosecute the mass-murder of native children. There might be somebody I don’t like in the crowd. I’ll wait until protests carry the death penalty worldwide (almost there!) and THEN protest.

But really, as the next article says, this is fan-tastic. Couldn’t be better. Could not possibly wake up and unite Canadians to their danger with anything less. And in the main, still very safe.
Thankfully people are broadly tracing back all the bad leaders to the WEF and Schwab, and hopefully soon behind him to the real powers. The internet works both ways, you dummies. You ever see the Austist Army working? They could find one flag on one pole, somewhere on earth, on someone’s private property, in 24 hours. (search “Shia Lebeuf”)

Twitter Won’t Censor Tweets Linking to Hacked Freedom Convoy Donor List (DC)”

Hey Twitter, I thought “hacked material” was against your rules and instantly banned. Only if the person is Hunter? Only if the material is Wikileaks?

“A packed-full stadium with exactly nobody distancing anything and zero mask enforcement of any sort. They didn’t even try to fake it.”

Adults (and particularly Boomers, sadly) attack all children for their own profit and convenience, wherever they are found. Have for my entire life. Nobody cares then, nobody cares now. When the first kid went on the first milkjug, did they stop this s—t, make neighborhoods safe, and keep a parent at home? Hahahahaha! Compared to moving up from a Chevy to a Pontiac? Not on your life! Of course not! F- the kids, I want a golf club membership!

The mother says, “F- the kids, I want a second car and move from Avon to L’Oréal!” …Of course then THEN got divorced, lost both cars, all the house equity, both had to work, both lost the kids to drugs and sex, and ate Kraft macaroni and ketchup because of it, but “If it’s L’Oreal, it’s worth it.”

That was 40 years ago. OF COURSE they attack, murder, and abandon all the kids to a prison-industrial system called “school”. As I said of Pine Ridge, they beta-tested on the natives AND YOU DID NOTHING. So they rolled out the Indian School-Prison kidnapping system on you. Just like we all warned in 1950, 1960, 1970, and even to today. We won’t get an apology for being right. They won’t even admit it now that it’s decades past-tense. Oh, PS, Baltimore had ZERO competency at graduation for their students. Most Blue areas are not far behind, and the Red ones are barely functional, ever-lower standards that America probably didn’t have in 1850. Higher taxes than ever to support their failure. And nobody even thinking about changing anything. We’re the bestest evah! Modern man is just soooo much smarter, cooler, more progressive than his backward grandpa, who could read and write, doncha know.

40 years later: Same thing! Didn’t learn an iota. Still dumber than a bag of hammers sending their kids to barista school at $100k, now up to THREE divorces, approving of their grandkids with three different fathers.

“had two cars in every garage, could go wherever they wanted, had overseas vacations every year, could buy whatever they wanted”

I understand the sentiment, but this was never true. Ever, and probably anywhere, even Boston and NYC. My whole life, and even now, overseas vacations are very, very rare, and no one can buy whatever they wanted. It was available, but normal Americans even have to live with, save up, and budget to get a new COUCH. They also worked really, really hard while Europe takes a month off every year. This sort of biases the baseline he’s building here and there’s no need for it.

And they are rationing right now. Store shelves are empty in places nationwide. Cars cannot be bought. Etc. You were locked down at home to make CIA operative Bezos rich. I thought that was the whole point.

Yes Pelosi is declaring a victory and went home. Their (non) sanctions worked! The ones they never added because nothing happened. Although they didn’t work to change behavior any of the last 10 years they were ACTUALLY enacted, say for example under Trump. Fine, PR, cool.

Here’s the problem though: as yesterday’s random comments suggested, THE U.S. IS COLLAPSING, and the only way to fill the infinitely compounding debt now is not even Syria or Cuba, like “The Blob” it has to absorb something the size of the EU or Russia. They were rebuffed, easily, and that compounding is still happening. The Beast must feed.

So it doesn’t matter if there’s a war or not, the results in the West (Anglosphere) are the same. They won’t be able to pay their blackmail, their gas bill, the troops. The banks will freeze up and liquidity will stop again. It will now take $50 trillion? $100 trillion? To re-start it, ’08 friends-and-family bailout-style.

So the LACK of a war is a problem too, and one that’s coming up in days, before the end of the month probably. So be prepared.

If you were trying to start a run on the banks this just might do it!

I am carefully reviewing the details of the authorization because according to the public statements by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland, they have authorized banks, financial institutions and insurance carriers to suspend the accounts of Canadian citizens based on their social media postings.

Yes, you read that correctly. Support of “blockades and/or occupations” are specifically noted.

Pandemic fatigue & conflict are rampant.

Mr. Fisman, seems to be befuddled by the prospect that is (has been) over.

Cancer screening and HIV testing is popping up in the messaging. I am also seeing comments like getting Omicron and then getting vaccinated is more protective than simply having had omicron. The vaccinators are not going away.

@V Arnold and @Bill7 “Who benefits.” (and other unkind jabs and innuendo)

    Cui Bono ?

Clearly not you. Maybe if you took the time to read for understanding instead of just moving your lips to sound out the words to fill the silence in an otherwise unused space?

There are three posters (as I count ’em) who put up pretty lengthy stuff on a fairly regular basis. Me, Bosco and Dr D .

If you took the time to actually read and understand those posts you would learn that there is nary a syllable of any “kayfabe” (as you so pugnaciously put it) in any of it. Bosco is a bit of an artist, so you need to pay closer attention but the meat and meaning is there in truckloads for those who care to make the effort. You might learn a lot of other useful stuff, too, but the choice to do so (or not) is your prerogative. If you don’t want to invest the effort, then skip the hard bits and stick to the pictures.

It’s unwise to throw stones at other peoples windows. They tend to toss them back . . . faster.

In 2024, civilisation has been tamed by smart phones, QR codes, and apathy. Airstrip Eh? (formerly known as Canada) is a province of BlackRock, Inc., one of the three totalitarian super-states that rule the world. It is ruled by “The Dollar” under the ideology of “StocSoc” (a Newspeak shortening of “StockMarket Socialism”) and the mysterious leader Big Broker, who has an intense cult of personality. The Dollar brutally purges out anyone who does not fully conform to their regime using the Cancel Police and constant surveillance through Smart Phones (like the one in your pocket), cameras, and Alexa. Those who fall out of favour with the Dollar become “unpersons”, disappearing with all evidence of their existence destroyed.

In Ottawa, Winston Smith is a member of the Outer Dollar, working at the Ministry of Google, where he rewrites historical records to conform to the state’s ever-changing version of history. Winston revises past editions of The YouTube, while the original documents are destroyed for violating terms of service agreements. He secretly opposes the Dollar’s rule and dreams of rebellion, despite knowing that he is already a “thought-criminal” and is likely to be caught one day.

While in a dole (Doletariat) neighbourhood, he meets Dr. Charrington, the owner of an antiques shop and medical clinic, and buys a diary where he writes criticisms of the Dollar and Big Broker. To his dismay, when he visits a dole quarter he discovers they have no political consciousness. As he works in the Ministry of Google, he observes Julia, a young woman maintaining the video-editing machines at the ministry, whom Winston suspects of being a spy, and develops an intense hatred of her. He vaguely suspects that his superior, an Inner Dollar official O’Brien, is part of an enigmatic underground resistance movement known as the Brotherhood, formed by Big Broker’s reviled political rival Emmanuel Truckstein.

One day, Julia secretly hands Winston a love note, and the two begin a secret affair. Julia explains that she also loathes the Dollar, but Winston observes that she is politically apathetic and uninterested in overthrowing the regime. Initially meeting in the country, they later meet in a rented room above Dr. Charrington’s clinic. During the affair, Winston remembers the disappearance of his family during the vaccine campaign three years prior and his tense relationship with his estranged wife Katharine. Weeks later, O’Brien invites Winston to his flat, where he introduces himself as a member of the Brotherhood and sends Winston a copy of The Theory and Practice of Oligarchical Collectivism by Truckstein. Meanwhile, during the nation’s Hate Week, BlackRock, Inc.’s enemy suddenly changes from VanguardGroup to StateStreetGlobalAdvisors, which goes mostly unnoticed. Winston is recalled to the Ministry to help make the necessary revisions of the records. Winston and Julia read parts of Truckstein’s book, which explains how the Dollar maintains power, the true meanings of its slogans, and the concept of perpetual war. It argues that the Dollar can be overthrown if doles rise up against it. However, Winston feels that it does not answer ‘why’ the Dollar is motivated to maintain power.

Winston and Julia are captured when Dr. Charrington is revealed to be a Cancel Police agent, and imprisoned at the Ministry of Amazon. O’Brien arrives, also revealing himself as a Cancel Police agent. O’Brien tells Winston that he will never know whether the Brotherhood actually exists and that Emmanuel Truckstein’s book was written collaboratively by O’Brien and other Dollar members. Over several months, Winston is starved and tortured to bring his beliefs in line with the Dollar. O’Brien reveals that the Dollar “seeks power for its own sake.”

O’Brien takes Winston to Room 101 for the final stage of re-education, which contains each prisoner’s worst fear. When confronted with a cage holding frenzied rats, Winston betrays Julia by wishing the torture upon her instead. Winston is released back into public life and continues to frequent the Chestnut Tree Café. One day, Winston encounters Julia, who was also tortured. Both reveal that they have betrayed the other and no longer have feelings for each other. Back in the café, a news alert celebrates BlackRock’s supposed massive victory over StateStreetGlobalAdvisor’s armies in Africa. Winston finally accepts that he loves Big Broker.

Ugo is a smart, well-meaning guy but he’s got a lot of problems. They’re down at the fundamental assumption level so they’re generally invisible to him. That’s a hazardous place for them to be since a base input being wrong can suddenly cause huge output-conclusion errors. Like Buy when you should Sell.

While all the things are true: money/market lockup, general alignment of interests, concentration, scarcity, supply, demand, especially % of GDP on pure waste, either Military or Health Care’s fraud, monopoly, and graft. And we have both. QR CCP social-credit plan rationing to murder all the dissenters and the dissenter’s kids, good stuff. Calm, insightful.

He’s a Peak Oil scarcity guy. Seneca’s curve. Problem is, that’s not true. Or not like they think. And it’s pretty obvious: “It is not that the Soviet Union ran out of anything, but the costs of natural resources simply became incompatible for the Soviet economy.”

Why? They weren’t before. If I fish or mine, clearly I sell the salmon or borax at a profit and can keep it up until the last pound is sold. So he’s admitting there was no shortage, only a market-pricing problem. Why? Prices are psychological. They will also automatically rise, but apparently didn’t. So why? Who stopped them?

“The core of the Empire, Russia, could return to being a functioning state only because it didn’t have to pay the enormous costs related to keeping an Empire together.”

Why? People have empires to STEAL the periphery. They would never do that if peripheries COST you money: they MAKE you money. But here he says it reversed. Why? Empires can’t have “enormous costs” if they did, nations would go bankrupt with the first attempt at conquest, long before they reach the multi-state absorbtion of a whole “Empire.”

“The combination of abundant resources and relatively low military expenses”

The Congo has this. Japan does not. Yet it’s Japan that’s wealthy.

The current problem is that the resources that made the West so rich and so powerful, mainly crude oil and other fossil fuels, are not infinite. They are being depleted, and production costs increase…”

And here’s your main point: This is totally false. The West, America, is doing NOTHING. Mining nothing, making nothing. They print and use OTHER people’s mines and oil. We are not drilling 3, maybe even 4 coasts. There is more oil than they can stop with sci-fi technology below 30,000 feet in the Gulf. They only barely got it shut off.

There is no pollution. America has almost never been cleaner in 40 years. Every mine is untouched here. They have all been stalled, regulated to closure, shut down. Aside from coal we have almost 100 years of resources backlogged here not counting oil. There is also “unlimited” (at least generational) oil in Iran, Russia, and probably Yemen. They’re not fully extracting Libya and Sudan. Venezuela is closed. Where is the shortage? There’s only a shortage of “money”, which is psychological.

The breakdown is in the human COOPERATION system, not the money or materials system. As clearly there is plenty of MONEY: they’re printing trillions worldwide. It’s just being directed to all the wrong activities.

Is that COOPERATION system part of reciprocal trust between the people, institutions, and government? And would that be greatly related to the media/propaganda system? And THAT is what’s breaking? Why CNN is a mortal wound and they say Bernie Bro Rogan is a Jan 6 Nazi? Why non-confidence in Trudeau is a breaking point?

The (Anglo) world is going to centralized planning and violent totalitarianism to NOT HAVE TO CHANGE. Change themselves, their money-flows, the directions, the prices from their insider market rigging, and so on. That’s the only shortage: the shortage of honesty and imagination. The U.S., being closed since Nixon signed the EPA in 1971 (wot a coincidence! The same time we decided to print paper and use YOUR commodities!), might have more mines, more arable land than anywhere on earth. There is no shortage at all, whatsoever, anymore than people had food in 1928, but somehow all the fields vaporized and were teleported to Mars in 1934? That’s why people were hungry? No. FDR was just stopping market prices from fully clearing to protect his Wall St pals. And just like now, grabbing totalitarian power which was fashionable at the time. That power was the only thing capable of MAKING those prices remain wrong for a decade of crushing Depression, while his Brain Trust was dumping milk and plowing under crops to save their own PMC interests. Just like now.

There was no shortage: all the same rails, fields, barns, mills, mines, houses existed in 1928 when everyone was “rich” as existed in 1934 when they were “poor”. And now, we the U.S. probably have more than they did then, as we also become “poor”, or at least the mass of us. And turning to the “rich”? Do they have more? Yes? And how do they keep it? Only using levers of government, yes? Bezos, Pfizer, forced lockdowns? Sachs, Morgan, forced low interest rates and no regulation for originating loans, having no paperwork, and illegal evictions? London rate fix and Silver proven multi-trillion dollar rigging for 10 or 20 years and pay a Million dollar fine, stay in business? Yeah.

Now how do the “Rich get richer” again? As a “Natural” thing? It ain’t natural. It’s fraud you won’t prosecute, protest, and not-participate, because the people themselves are aspiring fraudsters.

So his entire worldview of shortages and prices is in major error, even as generally his conclusions are right. But for the wrong reasons. It’s a big difference if we don’t have resources, they’re depleted, or if we’ve got all everybody needs but some rich chump is stopping and hoarding it.

“I get it about you challenging Dr.D to be the best he can be. He’s fairly driven already.”

Part of my entreaties, beratements, and exhortations to Dr. D are because he is so driven. Being driven can be a form of blinder, like those worn by driven horses hauling a wagon in a very busy city with horseless carriages running amok. I don’t try and drive him faster, Dr. Day. A major part of my message to him in the past was, ‘Slow down.” Not in terms of verbal output volume, but in terms of driving a conclusion forward (or driving forward to a conclusion? Mongo get confused).

Dr. D LIKES to be challenged, imo, and benefits from it. I’m like that too. Dr. D has taught me much and I hope I’ve taught him a few things in return. Not that the flak which folks like V. Arnold toss out are challenges. Flung poo is not a challenge; it’s an insult, and petty, vain, cruel and, ultimately, meaningless.

Professor Harvey Risch of Yale, renowned medical researcher, returns for another illuminating discussion with Omar, diving into what we’ve learned about the “vaccines,” about how to treat each other, about fear, and the Omicron variant, and how we need to understand on what legal basis emergencies can be asserted or not, especially those that intrude on our core rights.

This is useful – a great deal of the con summarised in one, readable piece, – you might consider sharing it with others in your circle including, if you are still talking to any, those who still believe the fairy stories.

“Those who are resisting mass propaganda and media hypnosis have long realised that the Covid Pass is of no use against Virus. They know, rather, that Virus is very useful for the rolling out of the digital health passport, as stressed by Giorgio Agamben in his recent address to the Italian Senate.”

“He’s a Peak Oil scarcity guy. Seneca’s curve. Problem is, that’s not true. Or not like they think. And it’s pretty obvious: “It is not that the Soviet Union ran out of anything, but the costs of natural resources simply became incompatible for the Soviet economy.””

But that is also how Peak Oil works. I agree with your overall assessment, btw, but wanted to point out this ironic similarity. The question of Is ‘it worth it to extract more oil from a well increasingly costly to pump’ is answered in human socioeconomics by something like ‘What’s it worth to you?’

Peak Oil is simply a physically guaranteed point where it isn’t worth pumping that oil except maybe using a sacrificial slave labor base.

There is no pollution. America has almost never been cleaner in 40 years.”

This is a classic case of where Bosco challenges Dr. D. “no pollution?”

Tar sands? Toxic agriculture? Enough plastic “recycled” ultimately into microfibers lodged in my liver? Not to mention the international collaboration to revert the oceans to pre-Cambrian status.

And here: ““The current problem is that the resources that made the West so rich and so powerful, mainly crude oil and other fossil fuels, are not infinite. They are being depleted, and production costs increase…” And here’s your main point: This is totally false”

Is it “totally false” to say that “resources …mainly crude oil and other fossil fuels, are not infinite”?

Like I said earlier to Dr. Day regarding, um, us (are we an item, Dr. Disco?), “Slow down.” Next thing you know you’re throwing oil and the radiator boils over from overheated hyperbole.

As for loss of cooperation: money. Money replaces the need to negotiate. Money, as we’ve seen, can be produced in such vast amounts that price discovery, i.e., human negotiation regarding resource sharing (including the resource of human effort) is rendered virtually invisible and almost illegal.

Any socioeconomic system using money will progress and enrich itself thereby to its doom via something you often refer to as socialism, which as I’ve read your use of this term in this way, meant the institutionally conveyed belief that everyone inherently deserves a certain standard of living when real life demands that you only get what you can get, yea, that you can get away with.

The expression ‘follow the money’ is, I feel, often much more apt than its most ardent users think.

Aw, let me just get it off my chest: go fuck a dead duck, V. Arnold. You’re a tiresome, pedantic, old crank who rarely offers anything but tepid philistinish “reviews” of the daily art post interspersed with some tiresome shame/blame of everyone but yourself. Personally, I think you and Veracious Poet should get a room.

You want to ruin a perfectly nice forum like TAE? Keep piling on the pointless petty insults. Keep making it all about your personal perspective and no one else’s. Go for it. Knock yourself out. It reminds me of this cartoon. Just replace RussiaRussiaRussia with HooligansHooligansHooligans.

    dfg

Or, you could act like a grown up and mind your own fucking business. But I suspect that’s asking too much.

And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

As I see it (me, myself and eye). To stay cash flow neutral I need 80x what billions subsist on to maintain my opulent convenient life. (Though nobody who knows me would describe me that way).

As it stands now, the camel beats me to the gates of heaven.

It sure is a tough crowd here on TAE, as the saying goes. I never click on the Denninger links—even the excerpts are so full of vitriol and anger as to be virtually unreadable for me. Our communication to the world is a direct reflection of our ego and its defenses—or at least, so I have observed for myself.

In that vein, I was puzzled at the over the top hostility directed at Jim Kunstler yesterday. Kunstler is an astute social observer with strong opinions and a writing style that describes his take on the way things are in a sometimes florid and often funny way. I tend to agree with much of his world view, and credit him as a source that has opened my eyes in many ways over the past decade and change.

I agree that his prognostications have proven to be off more than once—he has recently displayed an overly optimistic viewpoint when it comes to the various persons in authority being held accountable for their malfeasance—although one can still hope he will be proved right. However, the idea that “they got to him” or he sold out in some way is beyond the pale to me. Nobody in authority is concerned with what he has to say in any way that matters.
In any case, I would never expect Kunstler to be solely responsible for any particular actions I take or beliefs I hold—that is up to me based on a whole lot more information than that of a single social commentator with a website, no matter how thoughtful or witty and engaging they might or might not be.

This comment section does seem to go through cycles. Right now, with one or two exceptions, I am not finding much that is particularly insightful or helpful Your mileage, of course, may vary (YMMV, as the acronym goes). Perhaps we’ve reached a state of the world where there is little further of use we can actually say? I don’t know.

But I do know fear, in any and all of its many manifestations—hostility, judgement, defensiveness, sarcasm, ridicule, etc.—is not what I am seeking at the moment, and I’m actively working to release as much of my own as I can by staying as present as I can through each day that comes my way. I wish health and peace for everyone here.

    https://www.fiercepharma.com/special-report/eliquis-top-15-blockbuster-patent-expirations-coming-decade

In August of that year, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office granted Eliquis a key composition of matter patent, extending it from February 2023 to November 2026. The anticoagulant drug has another formulation patent that doesn’t expire until 2031.

For Pfizer, Eliquis raked in $4.9 billion in 2020, an 18% bump compared with the prior year. In all, analysts have predicted that Pfizer will lose up to $20 billion in sales due to patent expirations starting in 2026.

For now, it’s unclear when Eliquis generics might start to trickle in. For its part, BMS has said it expects generic entry after 2026 but before 2031. Analysts see reason to believe generics wouldn’t come into play until 2027 because of the possibility of a pediatric extension under FDA rules, which would add six months of market exclusivity.
