As I have said from day one, this is a theft exercise. The western politicians are stealing whatever they can, whatever their owners tell them to steal. They will keep this war going for ever, as long as they are stealing money. They do not care who dies, those idiots fighting for Ukraine, they do not care about people, they are thieves, obsessing thieves. They will provide tanks, aircraft etc and the result will be a new equipment order to the US MIC for 20 F-35s. Meanwhile, the weapons provided will be sold to whichever billionaires are sponsoring terrorist groups. It will not be long before SAMs are available on the market, then the billionaires will have a choice: private jet death or train.

Not only won’t employers offer a decent wage, but they’re a huge time suck when they DON’T hire you.
You submit your resume, but then they “load” it onto their own system which always, always fucks it up, so you are forced to enter all their little data fields for each educational record, each job record, etc. There’s the time spent researching the job, the company, and writing a cover letter to the specific job offering.
If you’re lucky, all you have to do is puree and spoon-feed your resume to them. But usually you won’t be lucky. There will be personality profile tests, IQ tests, various tests. Recorded video interviews that may never even be WATCHED because algos are filtering you out based on keywords detected or not detected in your cover letter or resume.
It can easily take an hour to apply for a job.
In indeed, once you apply, you can see how many applied for the same job.
On one, it was 2,500 fellow applicants. That’s not too unusual. The company wasted at least an hour out of each of those applicants’ lives. Made them jump through multiple hoops without even first letting them know if they would be automatically rejected by an algo – they don’t do that until you’ve completed their application process.
So if the job is offering $22/hr x 2,500 applicants. Let’s say the applicant’s time is worth approximately what they are looking to get paid? So the company stole $55,000 worth of time. For nothing. Because this is what we do… because this is what we do.
And that’s not even counting the 3 or more interviews the finalists will fruitlessly do.
If the company had to pay the offered hourly rate for all the hoops being jumped through, you can bet they’d find a better way. The better way ALREADY EXISTS! You can just use indeed.com’s standardized format for everything!
And of course, everybody is applying for 200 or so jobs. Those 2,500 people are going to keep looking and having their time wasted. what’s the cost to society for just these people? $22/hr x 2,500 people x 200 job applications = $11,000,000.00.
If you divide the value of time you took from people ($11,000,000) by offered yearly wage ($45,760) you get 240 and divide by the average life expectancy of 76 years, you get 3.15.
Just for the 2,500 people who applied to this one position who will continue to search, companies have done the equivalent of murdering 3 people.
And they just keep going and going. Wasn’t there a zerohedge article a few weeks ago, about diversity hires in HR who had nothing to do, so they just kept posting job openings and taking them down without hiring anybody? Sounds about right.

The group is led by people with ties to Ukraine’s far-right Azov movement. Members have been photographed giving Nazi salutes and have made extremist statements online.

So, my current working estimates for losses in the Battle of Bakhmut are some 45,000 for Ukraine, 17,0000 for Wagner, and 5,000 for other Russian forces.
But perhaps even this misses the point.
Ukraine was losing its army, Russia was losing its prison population.
Adjudicating the Battle of Bakhmut is relatively easy when one looks at what units were brought to the table. Bakhmut burned through an enormous portion of the AFU’s inventory, including many of its veteran assault brigades, while virtually none of Russia’s conventional forces were damaged (with the notable exception of the Motor Rifle brigades that defeated the Ukrainian counterattack). Even the Pentagon has admitted that the vast majority of Russian casualties in Ukraine were convicts…
..Meanwhile, Ukraine was left with virtually no indigenous offensive power – the only way it can conduct offensive operations is with a mechanized package built from scratch by NATO. For all Ukraine’s bluster, the force commitment at Bakhmut left it unable to undertake any proactive operations all through the winter and spring, its multi-brigade counterattack at Bakhmut lamely fizzled out, and it left its supporters grasping at straws about an immanent counteroffensive to encircle Wagner by a reserve army that doesn’t exist. It was even reduced to sending small flying columns into Belgorod Oblast to launch terror raids, only to have them blown up – discovering that the Russian border is in fact crawling with forces of the very much intact Russian army.
