Although literate, apparently he knows nothing about guns. But he lives in California, so how would he? No sir, no, it’s not. Unless you’re shooting villains at 200 yards in a Mad Max movie, the AR is definitively NOT a good home defense weapon. The .223 will go right through your house, your neighbor’s house, and has a fair chance of hitting anything nearby, but is NOT safe for self-defense in any inhabited neighborhood, but worse, stands an off chance of shooting through the hallway into the kitchen and garage even if you’re the only house for miles. That’s not it’s purpose.
Would this be the same “Patrol Rifle” that local law enforcement uses throughout the US? To respond to calls to your house or your neighbor’s house?

The lab was doing gain-of-function research. The stated purpose of GoF research is to be able to develop remedial treatments in advance of an actual pandemic. In the course of that research they very likely made advances that could potentially be monetised following the outbreak of Covid, regardless of whether the lab was the source of the precise virus that we now know as Covid.

This recent article in a medical journal blames it all on COVID-19, when it’s really the government’s reactions that are causing the mental health issues (with assistance from the media). COVID-19 didn’t close the schools, isolate the children in their homes, and instill fear and anxiety in them.
COVID-19 has brought numerous challenges for young people and their families: closures of schools, reduced contact with peers, academic stress, exposure to potential harm in homes, and the fear and anxiety of contracting and transmitting COVID-19.

Hey, it’s a very sick world “out there”; many psycho’s running important things of war…If replicate studies show toxic levels of artificial spike protein coded by the injected mRNA are detected in blood and ‘then accumulates in organs and tissues including the spleen, bone marrow, the liver, adrenal glands and in “quite high concentrations” in the ovaries’; the neoliberal West’s sole “vaccine” response to the coronavirus pandemic is as great a catastrophe as the Soviet’s Chernobyl. Except the oligarchs will try to keep this hidden as long as possible. Today there is no reactor melting down and spewing radioactivity.

What is bizarre is that China released the genetic code on the new coronavirus on January 11, 2020 before their successful lockdown of Wuhan started on January 23, 2020. People in high places, including Dr. Anthony Fauci, knew things and said nothing or lied. Yes, coronavirus started out as a plague of the elderly. But the nursing home industry refused to spend money on patient and worker safety. Western governments refused to shut their borders or control the outbreaks. The use of unpatentable treatments was prevented. All due to the opportunity to increase pharmaceutical profits. Six hundred thousand Americans died because of that.

I suspect the “we need everyone to be vaccinated” mania is part of the mindf*ckery, to distract the masses and convince them that the inevitable unvaccinated segment of the population will be to blame for the continued problems resulting from the government’s bungling and overreliance on a silver bullet vaccine (breakthrough cases, vaccine-resistant variants and additional outbreaks, not to mention all the preventable deaths).
@oldandtired: many police departments have standardized on the Ruger Mini-14; it’s the functional equivalent of an assault rifle in that it is a semiautomatic rifle that accepts magazine clips. It just looks less like a scary assault rifle, and more like a traditional rifle with a wooden stock. And yes, it is chambered for .223/5.56 cartridges, same as an AR-15, so it has all the same penetration disadvantages that Dr. D outlined.
