Doesn’t make sense. If it was “so deadly” the WHO would still be recommending mandates that we all take it. They are not, so it is obviously not “so deadly” enough. Something else will take its place, something more deadly.

About who’s fighting who, look at Luongo’s thesis. WHO is fighting bad guys? Other bad guys, Wall Street and national oligarchs. Or we could say LESS bad guys. Bad guys more in line with our values because they have to accomplish things, make stuff, and live here.
But what does that mean? Isn’t that always the way? Who was the Good Guys fighting British/American Oligarch interests that reclaimed sovereignty in 1840? A slaveholder who marched off the Cherokee and murdered them all to death for fun. Who claimed sovereignty from certain death in 1860? A dictator who canceled all citizen rights, Habeus corpus, Posse Comatatus, jailed the press, printed paper money, gave the nation to the centralized railroaders, industrialists, and corporations, and then DIDN’T free the slaves.
Okay, how about an example that’s closer? Who were the good guys in WWII? Lazy alcoholic Scotsmen, just getting off beating their wives and children, racist against everyone including the Jews, leaving a line of bastard sons through Europe…while they picked up a rifle and fought in ditches as the 51st Highlanders.
The Pastor and the Deacon don’t make the fighters. The wire-rimmed scholar with books don’t make the fighter. A man playing Queensbury Rules down in the East End don’t make a fighter. So who do you THINK is going to get up in the morning eager and aching to go bring a load of fight and steaming wet s—t on the world’s most powerful men? So it’s true that great minds think alike (and maybe why), ‘cuz that was exactly what my brilliantly accomplished older brother Mike did when he was about 5 and I was about 3, and he too went on the to become an engineer (aeronautical, in his case). The problem is not that people have known and cared too little about some specific and particularly big problem like the poison vax, planned global democide or how the American CIA supports itself by trafficking in every type of crime known to man (although all of those things are very bad and very true.)
The problem is that people (collectively) have simply known and cared too little at all, period, full stop. We have arrived at a state of diminished awareness of, and concern about, our surroundings that is so low, and so bad, that problems of such magnitude and danger as those could have arisen AT ALL with so few people knowing or giving a damn about any of those tragedies as existing or being seen as big problems.
How could so few people see it coming? How could so many people NOT see it coming, or even see it now that it’s actually here being rubbed in their faces and literally killing people?
How could it be that these things are still going on? Why is the armed revolution not already victoriously over?
At THAT level of uncaring unawareness it almost doesn’t make any difference or matter which specific catastrophe takes us out, because when that percentage of us are that stupidly unaware then SOMETHING is going to get us, fast, anyway.

So it’s official. I’m old today. Actually I was old yesterday, but decided to just wear the full experiential glory of it for a day or so before saying anything about it. Yeah, just hit the halfway mark, 75 years and a day. There is no more evading it, I’m a bona fide old guy, and if I had known it was going to feel this good I might well have started earlier.
I even seriously considered celebrating the event by upgrading my online handle to something more appropriate now that I have the credentials, something like Wise Old Fool or Geriatric Case, but decided to stick with the old moniker because it might in near future help me to remember who I am.
Meanwhile, this is so cool. From now on my screw-ups can be written off as an effect of advanced age or as as one the earned perquisites of seniority. And my small triumphs can be over praised, because the same sort of “age adjustment” calculation is made to modify opinions in my favor when I get stuff right or manage to do practically anything that requires post-childhood skills. “He does so well for his age!”

@Oroboros: How would you go about designing and building smooth, but eccentric bicycle wheels, as in the short video above?
Having calculated and built a few symmetrical bicyce wheels, I know that I had to take a lot of orecise measurements of the rim and hub diameters, widths , hole patterns, figure how many spoke-crosses i would have on each side of each wheel, how much offset of the rear rim from drive-side to non-drive-side, use a truing stand and meticulously build the wheel tighter and tighter, until the soke tensiometer said it was tight and even.I’m pretty sure that this is the project of a master bicycle wheel builder with a bike shop full of every length of spoke to work with slowly and meticulously. The rims lok like they have a bit of depth to them. Double wall rims with plenty of depth would be somewhat forgiving of spoke length, but just a little bit Spokes are only threaded for about 1 cm at the ends.
