Though very well done; it seems redundent for my present living situation…
My wife and I know full well what enough is…and live our life with probably more than enough at this point.
But, that said; we’ve not bought, aquired, or accepted anything more than what it takes to live day by day. for more than 5 years and counting………..I’m sure the NYT does not see the irony in the juxtaposition of these headlines (can’t read stories, free article limit reached.)

If I were to guess at the very sketchy rationale for this call, it was probably because the politician didn’t qualify his statement by saying “biological male” instead of “man”, IOW, I’m guessing he was thought to be saying that transgender men have no inherent right to identify and live as men. I would have to see the context of his statement to have all the information, but I am inclined to think that wasn’t what he was trying to say at all. I’m all for promoting the right and dignity of trans people, but what the censors at Big Tech need to understand is that hypersensitive speech-policing like this will make the average person less friendly to trans rights rather than more.
And generally speaking, such incidents/ non-incidents are a classic example of how we now live in an age of decadence, incompetence, and irrationality.

The EU is discussing “travel certificates” and in its unending wisdom, because it doesn’t have enough vaccines, has decided that only one mRNA injection is enough to travel freely. They can’t legally ban you from travel if you don’t want that stuff in your body, but they can make it hard and expensive for you, so vaccination will be free -or close- while testing -PDR or rapid- will become costly, and only valid for a few hours or days. How did we get here? What happened to us?

Okay so does this mean Texans can expect to get really sick from covid variants in the coming months if so many are vaccinated? Will they experience lots of vaccination side-effects? It seems to me that they are kicking the tires of a decent vaccination rate – if vaccination is as helpful as hyped, one should be able to resume normal life.

I’ve seen the problem is, the information on the ground is now so bad, so polluted, so unsure, that it’s making me sloppy. I concur, the information is getting so bad now i honestly can’t say what is true or not anymore. But you know, if you wanted to break someones will, lock them up, then tell them lies for over a year and see how long it takes for them to go insane.

Partner and I have been doing our part to stop the Covid madness by entering stores maskless. Some stores (Walmart, Arby’s) have no masking signs. Others (Fry’s grocery) have outdated signs stating that masking is required due to local ordinance. Not anymore…governor outlawed that. (Which I don’t think was appropriate — I value home rule, and I dislike the executive branch making and revoking laws — that is the legislature’s job. But it was high time to drop masking rules.). Some have new signs (Home Depot) explaining even the vaccinated should still be masked. NONE of them stopped us when we entered without masks, NONE of them said anything to us at all. And, I’d say that 95% of the customers are masked.
I for one am glad Home Depot doesn’t like money and like many companies recently, plans to go out of business by annoying their customers. The sooner they fail the better.
Hey, anyone remember their CEO failing the company by 30% then could only be removed by paying him 100 million? Now that’s capitalism. Efficient markets. Not like free-bank-money banana-capital bank-created monopoly extraction at all. Ya know: with the elimination of a million home-hardware, home-lumber jobs, while Home Depot has profits only as a pyramid.

And I don’t see that any major stumbling blocks to full approval have occurred. Full approval will happen, and I/we have no power to stop it. It’s a race…to inform enough people about the problems of the vaccines so that when approval occurs there is common enough knowledge that these vaccines are dangerous so that enough people will continue to resist vaccination…also understanding that once vaccinated, those who were not noticeably harmed by the vaccine are cognitively biased to believe that the vaccine is “harmless” for all. There are many possibilities…by vaccinating not just the vulnerable, it will be harder to hide any long-term vaccination effects as symptoms of old age or pre-existing conditions. Covid vaccine boosters may cause a rash of allergic reactions. So many possibilities…and not wishing ill to come on anyone vaccinated, but also understanding that the only way to prevent forced vaccination is for there to be obvious detrimental side effects.

The “official” pronouncements change daily, no need to go there except to note their direction.
Locally, it’s quite a bit of “I am not going to mask” met with relief and mask removal by the other person(s). Regional case tally near none, though heavy restrictions are officially mandated.What’s next?

So people will have handed over responsibility for their immune systems to Big Pharma. No wonder there has been such a desperate rush to vaccinate everybody.

Serious question: So what is the point of the jab? You can still get sick and still transmit, and you can still die from it. So what is the point? What does it do that is a benefit for you? Does it have any benefit? How does it benefit those pushing it because they are pushing it hard, going to bars in Dallas with uniformed soliders asking people to get it on the spot. What does it have that those in the “know” want us to have so badly?
