    @WES
    Robb Wolf suggests to try to get hold of a continuous glucose monitor if you can — even if it is just to use it for two weeks. In the US this requires a prescription, and unfortunately most doctors will not give you the prescription until after you have been diagnosed as diabetic. There are some low end products available without a prescription, but the quality tends to be very bad. I bought one of the needle-prick testing kits you are probably looking at. Those are a bit annoying, and they only give you data at a specific moment in time, but they are better than nothing and still quite affordable.

    wes, you can get a glucose monitor here, no script required.

    they cost about 100$ cdn each:

    Thanks for the kind word , they seem so rare these days. I did leave a commentary the other day but it was unremarked., no matter. I ,too, have missed your wisdom deposited this site. I am reliever to know you are still on the sunny side of the grass. Am still in good enough form for starting life sixteen days after Stalingrad siege was broken and the future looked sound enough and day auspicious in winter solstice + 60 and year ´49 to fancy the internal number geek within. The hair is a tad greyer and the colour mostly fled the beard. Still on my bike between recoveries of various mishaps. Still curious but eyesight restricts reading, mostly streaming chosen sites but adverse to any social media alphabet scam, surprising how few places remain for commentariat au natural. I trust you and family are in good form and having a rich harvest of joy.
    All the best………
