Given 99% of Usians have no clue about their constitution, or, U.S. history for that matter; damn straight a Dutchman may know something relevant about actual US history and its constitution.
Distance gives perspective and a certain degree of objectivity.
58 years ago (I was 15 yo) I wrote an essay on the violent history of the US from its inception; for which I was soundly criticised and condemned.
The thing that saved me was; I knew I was correct and “they” were wrong…
