Property values have taken the biggest hits in some of New Zealand’s wealthiest suburbs, according to CoreLogic’s Mapping the Market tool.

It shows median dwelling values have fallen by more than $300,000 over the last 12 months in some of the country’s most upmarket suburbs, such as Saint Mary’s Bay, Orakei and Westmere in Auckland, and Seatoun and Karaka Bay in Wellington.

In the latest quarterly update to the Mapping the Market tool, which tracks median housing values on a suburb-by-suburb basis throughout the country, 10 suburbs recorded value drops of $300,000 or more, all of them in high end areas.

In percentage terms, the Wellington Region posted the most comprehensive value declines, accounting for 30 of the 31 suburbs where median values fell by 20% or more over the last 12 months.

So, there could be some karmic justice after all, since many of the architects of the sabotage we have endured on Airstrip Five over many decades live in the wealthy suburbs.

FOOD & GROCERY PRICES STILL SURGING HIGHER
Food prices surged at an annual rate of +12% in February with rises across all the broad food categories Statistics NZ measures. That is its highest rate in 34 years. The annualised increase from January to February was +18% (even more on a seasonally adjusted basis).

In its Monday session, the NZX50 is down almost -1.0% to start the week

    (Same source)

Reported separately: Retail crime is up 40% in 12 months.

The option to send starving peasants to the big island to work as slaves no longer exists.

The managers of Airstrip Five could always offer the impoverished peasants free vouchers for takeaways (KFC, McDonalds) as a reward for getting jabs. even though that has already been done.

No wonder The Scorpion ran when it did (just over a month ago).

The unseen managers in The City of London must have offered The Chipmunk a huge bonus for being the fall-guy in this shitstorm.

The last time the US seriously meddled in Georgia, via its puppet Shonky-villain, Georgian military forces ended up invading two separatist regions to the north and killing Russians.

Russia was highly displeased and sent sufficient military forces to deal the Georgian invaders and take over the country. From memory it took about two weeks, once the Russian got moving. Shony-villain fled, of course. I cannot remember whether it was to Florida or Brussels.

Having sorted the military aspect, the Russians then removed all the military equipment that could be removed and blew up anything too large to remove.

For me, that signaled the end of American military might, since the US did nothing in response. That was 2008.

I really am surprised the US fascists would try again. Absolute desperation, I guess. Repeat what has already failed spectacularly.

Monday (Tuesday, Airstrip Five time) will be very ‘interesting’, now that Ponzi is visibly failing in a spectacular manner yet again.

Luckily none of the money is real, so the huge losses incurred by SVB are just fictional. The Fed can ‘print’ money faster than any bank or hi-tech company can lose it, since the whole caboodle is just a huge abstract construction.

Confidence is also abstract construction. But when that’s gone it is somewhat harder for the Fed and the other criminal organisations that constitute finance and government to ‘print’ than to ‘print’ fictional money.

George the Scrub and his side-kick Maul-some standing outside the Whiter-than-white House in 2008: “You need to give us $760 billion, for purposes we cannot define at this moment, otherwise the American economy will collapse and there will be mass unemployment and widespread suffering.”

The purpose of government in ‘advanced western democratic nations’ is to provide fake narratives to facilitate the enslavement of the bulk of the populace for the benefit of a few psychopaths and to use fake narratives and enforcement agencies to ensure no one can escape from the concentration camp. The system is run on the basis of conversion of fossil fuels into life-threatening wastes and via the looting and polluting of The Commons.

Born in a concentration camp. An entire life -including, for many, raising the next generation of slaves and cannon fodder- in a concentration camp. Death in a concentration camp.

All of this is achieved via the application of lies and censorship, and done with the accompaniment of flags, symbols and trumpets, with sufficient distractions and entertainments to keep the bulk of th livestock dumbed-down and amused, whilst hoping for a ‘better future’ even, as the operators of the concentration camps make everything worse by the second.

We don’t have too much longer to wait before the financial Ponzi Schemes implode, the energy supply becomes inadequate to run the various complex industrial systems and the accumulation of pollutants reaches the point of destroying the system, along with most of the population.

I guess the psychopaths at the top of the power pyramid have decided to start culling the slave population, now that they have less use for the slaves than they did when they were using sailing ships and hand axes and picks and shovels to ravage the Earth.

When the facts don’t correspond with your fake narratives, apply more censorship and repeat the lies more frequently -as has been done by the governments of ‘free and democratic nations’ for at least the past 200 years.

Why does anyone think the governments of ‘free and democratic nations’ will stop lying and censoring, now that the ‘need’ for lying and censoring is greater than ever?

Many of us are still waiting for the lies told by governments of ‘free and democratic nations’ about 9/11 to be fully exposed, 22 years after they were told and held in place by extreme censorship and frequent repetition.

There are also the lies told by the governments of ‘free and democratic nations’ about the dismemberment of Yugoslavia, and the lies told about the numerous wars in the Middle east, and the lies told about the Vietnam War, and the lies told about the Korean war, and the lies told about WW2, and the lies told about WW1, and the lies told about the economy and the lies told about the financial system, and the lies told about the energy systems, and the lies told about the food system and the lies told about the medical system -and all of them are held in place via censorship and constant repetition.

Stripped of hype, misdirection and self-serving idealized claptrap (“markets, innovation, The Singularity, oh my!”), everything boils down to power relations: who has agency (control of their own lives and a say in communal decisions), who has access to all the goodies (cheap credit, insider dealing, ownership of income-producing assets, food, fuel and all the comforts and conveniences of living off others’ labor) and who can offload the consequences of their actions onto others, without their permission.

These power relations define the structure of the economy, society and governance. Everything else is signal noise or self-serving cover stories.

AI serves those at the top of the power relations pyramid, those with agency, access to the tools of wealth and power and those who can offload the toxic consequences of their own actions onto clueless/powerless others.

I’m still having difficulty convincing people that ‘New Zealand’ is not a country but is a business, and that the so-called government comprises of local managers appointed to positions by the overseas [City of London] management.

The money-lenders control practically everything financial, commercial, economic, political and cultural on the Airstrips, and the game is to keep the Ponzi system going whilst transferring a much fictitious wealth as possible from The Commons to the money-lenders via the-loot-and-pollute economy.

    Energy:

Without fossil fuel energy, billions of people die rather quickly due to lack of food grown and distributed using fossil fuels.

With fossil fuel energy, billions of people die more slowly via degradation of the global environment and overheating.

    The Progress Trap.

For what it’s worth, this mainstream article is reasonably accurate in pointing out that fossil fuel dependence ranges from 50% to 100% (though in practice, all ‘advanced’ societies are 100% dependent on fossil fuels).

For me, Ugo Bardi’s greatest contribution was the article he wrote around 15 years ago in which he pointed out that if it were possible to go back in time and discuss the policies that led to the Fall of the Roman Empire with an emperor or a general of the time, that person would have taken no notice whatsoever of anything you said and would have carried on doing exactly what caused the Fall of the Roman Empire.

Fine words from Arne but here’s the predicament:

If you stand up for what is right and speak the truth, the totalitarian fascists that comprise the governments of Oceania (managers of the businesses) will set their thugs on you and have their thugs bash you over the head or ride a horse over you or gather in a group and pin you to the ground and enjoy abusing you while they haul you off to a prison cell. Indeed, at one stage during the fake pandemic, security forces of Airstrip Four would gleefully attack you simply for not wearing a mask that did nothing to protect you from viruses.

Following arrest, the totalitarian-fascist-controlled ‘legal system’ will continue the abuse you and may even impose a severe penalty on you for daring to speak ‘unspeakable truths’ about the criminal activities of the governments of Oceania -being Airstrip One (UK), Airstrip Two (USA), Airstrip Three (Canada), Airstrip Four (Australia) and Airstrip Five (Aotearoa/NZ) and various conquered and occupied territories such as Germany, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Cyprus, Gibraltar, Garcia Diego, Ukraine etc. that make up Airstrips Six to Thirty Five.

On the other hand, if you do not vigorously oppose the totalitarian fascists that comprise the governments (managers of the businesses) of Oceania, they will continue to take away all your rights, attempt to take away your possessions, devalue everything you have, continue to murder and generally abuse the general populace, and continue with their insane agendas that will eventually render the Earth largely (or completely) uninhabitable for humans and most other extant species.

I know. It happened to me when I stood up for what is right. And I personally know others who were abused more than I was.

    So what’s the answer? I don’t know!

But I do know that The System -founded on fraud, lies and violence and maintained [in the short-term] via fraud and lies and violence is on its last legs and is going to collapse in the near future, so that is what I devote most of my energy to preparing for.

By the way, as far as I know, Julian Assange is still being tortured by totalitarian fascists and the bulk of the populace of the various Airstrips don’t know and don’t care.

Aside from all the blatant lying and deceitful fabrications of The Empire of Lies with respect to Ukraine and Jan 6th and Covid and ‘Climate Emergency’ scams run by governments in conjunction with the UNIPCC that make matters worse etc., we are witnessing and experiencing the breakdown of the system at the local level by way of inability of people to purchase items that had previously taken for granted.

A friend who had health problems relating to diet experienced an improvement in health by eliminating certain foods and eating more of others. One of his staples is (was?) kumara.

He noted that the price of 1 kilo of kumara was $13 yesterday -which effectively makes one of his staples unaffordable. The price until recently was around $4 a kilo.

One of the reasons for the sudden surge in price is the devastation of large areas of kumara grounds that are a result of climate chaos triggered by atmospheric CO2 being approximately 50% above the historic pre-industrial level (420 ppm versus 280 ppm), amongst other things.

As Red has noted, it is not only CO2; CH4 and N2O and a multitude of other gases in the atmosphere contribute to the overheating. Indeed, methane in the atmosphere is approaching three times the pre-industrial level (2000 ppb versus 750 ppb). Although its concentration is seemingly very low, in practice its effect is dramatic, since its multiplier is up to 300 times CO2, depending on the rate of conversion of CH4 to CO2 via the OH radical system in the atmosphere. Worst of all, as the overheating continues, we must expect water vapour (not a primary driver of overheating but a very important secondary driver) to incease in effect.

Of course, the anti-science brigade will declare that a gas [methane] that is’ ‘only 2000 ppb cannot possibly have any effect’. It’s a bit like saying that 20 ppm H2S won’t kill you. Or that crushing and grinding a castor seed with your teeth won’t kill you.

In addition to the climate chaos effect, the price of kumara is obviously affected by the devaluation of the Kiwi dollar by the central bank and the general increase in the price of imported fuels, very noticeably diesel, which the entire system runs on.

I stopped buying such things a while ago but noticed that the cheapest low-sugar fizzy drinks that were $1 for a 1.25 bottle litre a year ago went from $1.20 to $1.30 this week. That is 30% annual ‘inflation’ -devaluation of fiat money.

I also noticed yesterday (at Bunnings) that the yard cart I bought for $148 18 months ago is now $200. That’s about 33% ‘inflation’ in 18 months.

Back to the supermarket experience: there were actually cartons of eggs for sale; not many, and at about $3 more than 6 months ago, i.e. 40 or 50% ‘inflation’.

In order to mask the lack of eggs, the supermarket staff were busy filling the empty bay with…..wait for it!…chocolate rabbits!

Hollow, of course, and covered in shiny aluminium foil, and in an oversize cardboard box.

The dumbed-down, lied-to masses have to be persuaded to part with their fiat money via the fake Easter orgy of overconsumption of crap, just as I, as a child, was trained to do.

Such is Life at the End of Empire on the Planet of the Maniacs.

But I won’t complain, just observe and report, because I know it’s far worse on other ‘Airstrips’ in the Empire of Lies.

    “Where were you born?”

    “Airstrip One.”

    Where do you live?”

Unfortunately, it doesn’t work like that.

High CO2 = melting of ice.

Melting of ice = ruined thermal gradient.

Ruined thermal gradient = uncontained Jet Streams

Uncontained Jet Streams = ‘Polar Vortexes’ -huge masses of frigid air moving into places it ‘really should not be’

And then shortly after, a mass of tropical air.

We’ve had ‘climate whiplash’ here, with temperatures swinging wildly between 32oC and 12oC over a matter of a few days.

They gleefully create misery on earth.

Does it matter if Lucifer actually exists? Does it matter if there really aren’t any alien/demons who think they rule the universe? All that matters is that there are humans who do believe it- and have for many, many centuries.
And right now, they are “harvesting”.

*Early charlatans- manipulators of the nascent Theory of Mind.

That is similar to the argument put forward by Derrick Jensen 15-20 years ago.

Suppose these aliens carried on, exterminating species after species; would you fight back?

Suppose these aliens created numerous dead zones. Would you fight back?

How far would you let these aliens go in their destruction of the Earth before you fought back?

Of course, in the real world the ‘aliens’ have convinced a huge portion of the population that chopping down most of the trees, generating massive of pollution, creating mono-culture plantations, overheating the Earth via excessive fossil fuel use and putting the entire biosphere into terminal decline is a good thing that should be celebrated continuously.

Red. All very good stuff from you.

Regarding the latest from Tim Wakins: it’s a bugger being 20 or 30 years ahead of the crowd and being 10 or 15 years ahead of the ‘activists’.

    “You’re too gloomy.”

    You’re just Chicken Little,”

    “That’ll never happen.”

“It’s snowing, so how can the Earth be warming?”

    “Carbn dioxide is a nutrient.”

‘Carbon dioxide was much higher in the past.” (when sea level was 100 metres higher and there were no mammals)

“It’s changes in the Sun cycle that determines the temperature of the Earth.”

“it’s chemtrails that are causing the bad weather.” (true up to a point)

“We just have to think positive.”

    “Scientists will find solutions.”

I’ve heard it all over the past 25 years. Plus the government-sponsored lies churned out by the government and the government-owned and government-controlled corporate media

I still struggle with that one. Corporations own the government; government owns the corporations.

But I rarely hear: “Industrial civilisation is a toxic and unsustainable set of living arrangements which is terminal decline.”

And if I tell people they truth, they hate me for it and argue that black is white, and that that night is day.

Even as glaciers melt before their eyes and sea ice disappears, I am told on TAE that it’s not happening and there is no planetary meltdown because ‘climate change is a scam’.

The inability (unwillingness) of people to distinguish between real world events and the fake narratives of The Empire of Lies and their insistence on lumping them into one basket is dismal, isn’t it?

DBS. Yes, I freely admit I am wrong about 3% of the time. I said so to a friend just yesterday evening. 🙂

97% on the ball is good enough for me.

That beats the local council, who are on the ball about 3% of the time.

But that 3% success rate is understandable because the local council is full of fuckwits and liars and is told to generate utter garbage and implement counterproductive actions as a matter of policy by the head saboteurs in Wellington.

Garbage is still collected once a week by a contractor. The local council’s role is to decide the price of the rubbish bags and oranisae their sale.

Even garbage is a business, to be run at a profit.

Never mind the long-term effects. The bureaucrats are so demented they think it’s all going to continue the way is has many decades -we just need more electric cars and more windmills and more houses and more sewer lines and more electricity poles….

    Resouces are infinite.

On the matter of ‘climate change’ (planetary meltdown), I knew Al Gore was a professional liar before he even commenced his project of enriching himself and his buddies via fake and counter-productive ‘climate solutions’.

At the time of the 2000 election, he just rolled over without a fight when it was blatantly obvious that there was vote rigging in Florida and elsewhere.

Anyone interested in what scientists actually studying the meltdown of the Arctic and Antarctic regions have to say about the sea ice extent can find a useful report here:

    https://nsidc.org/arcticseaicenews/

The current status is summarised by: ‘Throughout February, Arctic sea ice extent tracked between second and fourth lowest in the satellite record while Antarctic sea ice extent tracked at record low extents’.

Since the kind of meltdown we are witnessing normally occurs over then of thousands of years -as opposed to a few decades- we can justifiably describe it as a emergency.

On the other hand, whilst the mangers of Airstrip Five declared a ‘Climate Emergency’ three years ago, everything they did both prior to the declaration and since the declaration has made matters worse faster.

That is exactly what we would expect from a gang of professional liars -professional not in the quality of their lies but simply ‘professional’ insofar as that is their occupation and because they are paid enormous sums by the real controllers to lie to the populace on a continuous basis about everything.

That is where it gets really interesting because it is becoming increasingly difficult for these professional lairs to lie convincingly when all their [fake] narratives are unravelling fast.

Housing bubble kaput and in freefall in major cities.

Shockingly bad trade figures and other financial figures.

A surge in ‘sudden deaths’ -clearly due to the fake and toxic vaccines.

Collapsed infrastructure because it was built in the wrong place on the basis of poor design. And no capacity to fix any of the worst catastrophes – just a lot of headless chickens (and one Chipmunk) running round in circles trying placate angry people trying to avoid responsibility whilst ‘promising’ responses they are incapable of delivering on and have no intention of delivering on.

Collapse of the fake ‘freedom and democracy’ and ‘Ukraine will win the war if we all help’ narrative.

Collapse of the fake Carbon Trading Ponzi scheme.

Under way but not yet fully apparent: collapse of the economy and collapse of the political system that got us into this multi-faceted predicament.

On one side he writes utter drivel -such as oil being abiotic and generated by unknown processes- and makes utterly stupid assertions and engages in ad hominem attacks and generally offers nothing worth reading -so I usually skip over anything he writes -unless it is one of his personal attacks on me.

On the other hand, he regularly reminds us how uninformed and nasty many humans are -and there is value in being reminded how uninformed and nasty many humans are.

In case it was not clear, my suggestion to fuck off permanently was directed at aspnaz, who has acquired a reputation on TAE for invention, fabrication and generally annoying people, and has now gone to the next step of ramping up his self-importance by blatantly lying.

There are many kinds of people. I do not like bullies. I do not like liars. I am not impressed by poorly educated people who know very little about topics but have opinions based on ignorance yet feel the urge to thrust those opinions on others.

Although I suggested to aspnaz that he fuck off completely, there is value in having him around to remind us that humans are not all cooperative, intelligent and respectful but that a large proportion are in fact nasty, bullying liars.

    Fuck off you lying arsehole.

I do NOT promote establishment lies. I exposed them constantly, especially the climate scams, and have been doing so for over 20 years.

So FUCK OFF you sniveling lying arsehole scumbag.

I note that I am not alone and that others think you are a sniveling lying arsehole with too much access to a computer and nowhere near enough intelligence or morals.

So why not just completely fuck off and never return to TAE because we are sick of your lies and inventions.

    Oroboros.

It indeed an Easter Island Culture that infests NATOstan governments (managers on behalf of the controllers).

Even when you point it out to them – I tried many times in the past and even used the term Easter Island Culture and point out the future consequences of their bizarre actions- they still continue to build monuments to folly.

The fall of Bakhmut in detail.

The evacuation is likely to be over in 2 or 3 days. But some diehards may stay Mariapol-style and have to be starved out or blown up in situ.

    Chasiv Yar next.
