I appreciate your situation. I have a similar experience in my past, having joined a young organization as a professional in my field and helped it to grow over decades. Then the organization became something that it wasn’t at the beginning, leaving me so to speak. When you refuse to change or hide who you are authoritarian management naturally must expel you.

It is natural for you to be constantly processing the details at first, but that fades as you find your new path. Whatever that is, it will be yours. You’ll never regret your own path.
