Okay, now I know all and see all. I’m a creation of western agit-prop. Thanks for your
    contribution to the discussion.

So, Ukraine is just a creation of western agit-prop?

I don’t care about “the West” as such. The West is able to take care of itself, or not. At any rate, it’s made its’ own fate. I’m more concerned with Ukraine, a nation which has re-made and re-discovered itself over the past two years. I look for understandable political perspectives to the web and sites I have come to trust on financial matters. What I find, mostly, is not a perspective which rises above the two warring hegemons to actually shed some light. Instead, I see people posting Russian propaganda views thinking that this is somehow helpful. I’m not a ninny. I know we are spoon-fed propaganda in the West. This is not news. My point is the blogosphere is failing as an alternative to East and West. Zero Hedge, just for an extreme example, cannot discuss “Russian issues” without apoplexy. Try reading any discussion there on a post with the word “Russia” in the title and see how much you can stomach. And what would you call the separatists? If you like “Ukrainian separatists” better, that’s fine, though some would say it misses the historical dynamic.

Re: “Russia would attack NATO only in a mad person’s dream.” Surely this is a true statement; only, just as surely, it is a straw man argument. I’d like to see an article from Mr. Putin that Russia would not attack, nor encourage Russian separatists, to attack Ukraine. It seems Mr. Putin is using misdirection here. On the other hand, I can understand how other small nations bordering Russia feel threatened by Russia’s stance toward Ukraine. Viewed from Ukraine or Georgia, Russia is an aggressive power. Personally I disagree with imperial ambitions whether East or West. I’d like to think that AE shares that view. However, I don’t think that the way to avoid the clash of ambitions is to uncritically post articles from RT. RT is not an antidote to western imperial views. It is simply a vehicle for a similar Russian agenda, and not above pushing propaganda. RT is not “true,” anymore than a similar western publication is “true.”
