You would think that if there’s one group of people who’d recognize a coup if they saw one, it would be the American people. Because their intelligence services have been involved in almost all coups in the world for many decades; let’s say since WWII, to keep it simple.

Just in the most recent past, they staged and conducted coups in Libya, Ukraine, Syria, Venezuela and many other places (think Bolivia). Libya was the only real “successful” one, thanks to Gaddafi being sodomized with a bayonet, leading to Hillary’s giddy We Came, We Saw, He Died, the by far ugliest face of the US by a mile. That and the open-air slave markets that resulted from sodomizing to death the man who led Africa’s wealthiest country and gave his people benefits that Americans can only dream of.

And now Hillary’s crew are about to be handed the reins again. Or as Michael Tracey put it”: The new corporate authoritarian liberal-left monoculture is going to be absolutely ruthless – and in 12 days it is merging with the state. This [is] only the beginning. Duck for cover.

The screwed-up coups in Ukraine, Syria, Venezuela etc. would appear to signal that the CIA is not very adept (anymore?!) at organizing coups, or maybe they just chronically overestimate their skills at it. Whichever way it may be, they have done more damage to America and its standing in the world than Donald Trump could ever have dreamt of doing.

So you would think Americans would recognize a coup, but instead they’re the last group of people on the planet who would. Because their media doesn’t present them as coups. They’re labeled as spreading democracy, freedom etc., as standing up against the bad guys, and liberating innocent people -even if many of them die in the process. People dying is a feature of these coups, not a bug. People get shot, bombed, disappeared, in a word: killed.

 

Anyway, it’s way more and better than ironic that all these very deadly CIA-led operations are not labeled coups, but then the clowns and actors spectacle that took place in Washington DC this week, is. Which is possible only because they never told people what a coup actually is. Only then can you make them believe that some wanker in a furry viking helmet outfit is trying to overthrow the government. At the initiative of the democratically elected president, no less.

Are these people extremists and terrorists or are they clowns and actors? I would lean towards the latter option. A coup requires a plan, a playbook, most often elites who think they have a shot at taking over a country, which in turn requires support from at least part of an army. The best these folks could think of was sitting in Pelosi’s office and take selfies.

 

 

That doesn’t make the march on the Capitol a good thing, far from it, but there are a lot of people out there who don’t like the way the president they elected in 2016 has been treated by the MSM, his political opponents, and US intelligence. And after the theater that has been Russiagate, the Mueller debacle and the Zelensky call-based impeachment, maybe that shouldn’t be too surprising.

The main problem for Trump lately would appear to have been his legal representation. I’ve said all along: let the dice roll where they may, there are many questions surrounding the election and they have the right to go looking for answers to these questions.

But if you look at what the status is today of what the likes of Rudy Giuliani, Jenna Ellis, Sidney Powell and Lin Wood have come up with, you think they might as well have been working for the other side. Still, we’ve at least seen the dice roll, and they came up they way they did. The process was allowed to proceed, and this is the outcome. This has misled Trump as well as his followers. They thought there was something substantial -and tanglible- there, because that’s what they were told all along.

This doesn’t mean the US should continue using voting machines, however. There are many countries that hold elections, and there are very few that either use those machines and/or see their elections contested. There’s a reason for that combination. These things can be manipulated, and they will be if they’re used. Get rid of them or this chapter will be repeated endlessly.

 

Then again, it all plays out well for anyone but Trump. And perhaps a few GOP’ers who stood by him. You could say, Trump entered the swamp and drowned in it, it swallowed him whole. Which is not to say that he’s such a perfect character, hell no, but he was the one and only chance to get rid of the power cabal that is DC. Which is a much bigger danger than he could ever be.

Where career politicians like Pelosi, Schumer, McConnell and Joe Biden can reside for decades, and be handed ever more handsome amounts of money by the lobbyists who write their laws, which benefit the corporations they work for. Trump was the chance to do at least something about this. They ate him alive.

Now the story is that Trump is/was the main danger, and that he was attempting a coup against his own government. To finish off the job, after being hunted down by the MSM for 4+ years, social media, for whom unceremoniously dumping Trump, after he was their main attraction for years -at least for clickbait-, was just a business decision dressed in some vague set of moral principles, are now simply deleting him.

And people cheer that. They don’t understand that from now on, as US president you serve at the behest, grace and kindness of the CIA, New York Times and WaPo, but even more that of @jack and Zuckerberg, and not that of the American people. As the noise about an attempted coup allows Team Biden to slip in Sally Yates, Susan Rice and Victoria Nuland and their whole gang of neocon warmongers.

The entire media focus on Trump served to hide what those people were doing behind the scenes all along. And now it’s time to duck for cover. They’re going to try and impeach him again, and then prosecute him, and erase everything he’s done, cheered on by the same media who never told you what a coup actually is. Because they are a big club, and he’s not in it, and neither are you.

And if you think you can vent an opinion on social media in the future that doesn’t coincide with that of the big club, perhaps you haven’t been paying attention.

    It is sinking in very slowly (very very VERY slowly, in fact) that the events of the past few weeks have culminated in the fall of the United States as both a nation and as a world power. The Republic of the Unite Sates of America now holds even less meaning than those also meaningless (and annoying) little US flag-lets that flutter inanely from one Coast to the other. The republic for which it stood is factually gone. I do not mean this rhetorically, or in some other semi-abstract sense. I mean it in the literal, pragmatic and prosaic sense. All three branches of government have now been highly publicly demonstrated to be totally feckless and powerless ( except by simple obstruction.) Nothing that any of them say or do at this point means a damned thing to over half of the country. The final indignity, in which the Office of The President of the United States of America ( arguably the most powerful empire of all time) was denied access to the protections of the First Amendment and due process . . . was just a mean spirited flourish at the end.

    Making the rules up as one goes along to accomplish the agenda of the moment is now the official operating basis of the USA, and by extension the World, which pivots upon the actions of the USA, These “no rules” rules will of course also apply to the morons who are doing it . . . but that hasn’t occurred to them yet. They’re riding too high to hear that the death knell of the Trump administration will soon be tolling for them, as well.

    There are now no rules other than the rules of raw power. Civilization has taken a backward stumble of a thousand years.

    And by the way. I do hope you are paying attention to the fact that a significant number of high testosterone young males are about to start shooting the joint up. I know that you personally eschew violence, but just in case you’ve lived this long without noticing, there are one hell of a lot a people who don’t feel or think that way at all. They like violence just fine. It’s just part of daily life. Some do it for the fucking fun of it. Who’s going to stop ’em now , eh ? Who is going to risk their life protecting assholes from harm? Nobody, that’s who. When there are no rules and no country then friends and allies protect their friends and allies.     Please allow me to make my thinking and position absolutely clear. I am officially and publicly pulling the Emergency Brake/ Panic Alert cord on this choo choo.

    Here’s my most recent email to a friend, in which I just say it straight. Might as well say it straight to you, as well.

    My adrenals will not allow me to give a flying fuck about the denizens of TAE arguing vehemently and in great detail about a disaster that was OVER WITH months ago.  They are just too gawd damned far back from the ongoing real time events for me to give the tiniest little shit about what they think.  Whatever it is they think, they should have thunk it 4 years ago.  Why blather about it now ?   They are worse than a mere distraction.  They are a threat to your physical survival because they would have you blather instead of think and act in response to a real and present danger.  
    We are days,  a few weeks at the most,  from the most stunning Blitzkrieg of draconically authoritarian lawfare in human history.  I suggest that it’s a pretty good time to be thinking about that  instead of Twitter and Bitcoin.  Laws are about to be swiftly imposed and enforced which will restrict your movement and participation in such fundamental aspects of your daily life as leaving your house, buying groceries or emailing a friend.  You are about to be forced by law ( and the need to eat, shelter and move around)  to accept an mRNA vaccine that will change the entire human genome, forever,  despite the complete and utter absence of knowledge about possible undesirable consequences. Your knowledge, opinion and vote have just been proved to mean absolutely nothing . mRNA has never been used on humans, and there are ZERO long term studies of effects in either the short or long term . Extreme violence on a large scale is unavoidable .  Large numbers of people will resist the government forcing them to isolate,  lock-down, wear a mask, take a risky vaccine, cross a state line, get on an airplane, or buy groceries  without an “vaccine passport” .  Nothing ( except perhaps by Divine intervention . . . and I am not being facetious) stands in the way of the authority to make and impose those laws , , ,   and yet those are the laws which the Pence administration has already promised that it will implement immediately upon his inauguration.
    It is well past the time to confront , like an adult,  precisely how you are going to respond to each of these challenging developments ,  because they are happening.
    This ain’t America no more, Boz.  The America we think of when the word comes up is, is going underground.  Topsiders and slowpokes are about to be rubbed out.

    I thought I could run with the big rhetorical dogs on AE but I can’t. My command of language and history is inadequate. To my detriment I have come to love my own *projection* of who I think the great minds are. I have once again started to drink beer after a long layoff. That has affected my performance on the bike, my waistline….and the clarity of my thought. I don’t like that.

    I have spent a good portion of my past life with mechanically and technically inclined folks who like to burn nitromethane in various iterations of the Otto cycle spark ignition piston engine. I can tell you from experience they work very well together in the team environment. I can also tell you that as much as they like the smell of nitro in the afternoon they also like the ‘smell of napalm in the morning’. A surly and robust group. They do not like to be told what to do. At all.

    Notice: As of Monday morning my shop rate is going up. Take it or leave. I’m sorry if the technical nature our modern lives has exceed your ability to *maintain* your fleet of devices. I will tell you that the four commonly used thread size groups for mains supply lamps do insert in the clockwise direction just so you know.

    That was a joke…a trope of sorts? I don’t know? I try .

    Elements of The Coup January 6th 2021.
    Premised on the pattern of Inverted Communication as practiced by the HRC Wing of the Democrat Party. Recall Clinton’s pattern is documented to be projecting her misconduct onto her rivals by accusing her rivals of the very criminal misconduct Clinton is/was engaged.
    The primary assessments are two major observations from the January 6th Coup

    A. Control of the media and means of communication: The President of United States’ communications were and continue to be cut off by coup plotters aided and abetted by high tech tyranny. The Coup as defined by HRC, Pelosi and Schumet has been ongoing 4 years running.

    B. US Military behavior was coopted by the Natonal Guard agreeing to fail to act at any time during the “staged crisis”. The Chairman Joint Chiefs engaged in communications about the coup target (President Trump) with individuals, Pelosi, who have no connection to the Chain of Command. These acts are both insubordinate and conduct unbecoming on officer under the UCMJ. The latter arrangement only protects the Chairman Joint Chiefs from prosecution if the Coup Plotters prevail. We’re at war.

    1. officers’ personal grievances: no better example than the grievances Voiced against President Trumo subsequentl to the coup by the execrable, unindicted war criminal , General Mattis, author of The Seige of Fallujah which targeted children on massé,
    2. military organizational grievances: too many to count but include the USS Abraham Lincoln/COVID debacle, epidemic of MST, military sexual Trauma, a euphemism which obscures the epidemic of sexual assault and rape perpetrated by US servicemembers on other servicemembers
    3. military popularity: highest approval rating among the general population
    4. military attitudinal cohesiveness: National Guard failed to act on January 6th and The Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff took advice/communications/ orders from Pelosi, rather than his Commander in Chief, President Trump. Millie’s passivity is codified misconduct under Title X US Code and an aggressive act by prevention of requisite duty under his Officers Oath of Office, also Title X US Code
    5. economic decline: while transferring +$12 trillion dollars to failed banks and unprofitable high tech companies
    6. Domestic political crisis: 4+ years manufactured by HRC, MSM and Intelligence Agencies against President Trump
    7. Contagion from other regional coups: Bolivia, Ecuador, Atlanta Georgia etc
    8. External threat: Russia, China, Iran hysterical propaganda
    9. Participation in war: Syria, Afghanistan 20 years ongoing
    10. collusion with a foreign military power: accusations about Russia vis a vis Trump, proven connections with China and Ukraine vis a vis Biden/Hunter-Joe
    11. military’s national security doctrine: dictated by corporate interests. Google SECDEF Corporate Fellowships. What does it serve the nation and its military for its officers to spend time with Apple or Amgen?
    12. officers’ political culture: existence of military service academies
    13. Noninclusive institutions. Bidirectional here. Which branch of the US Gov’t controls the CIA or, for that matter, the FBI. And the new controlling institution, the major NGO controlling a US President’s communications with the American people, ie the tyranny of high tech, Facebook, Twitter, Gmail/Alphabet/Google.

    At a minimum. It could easily be more like 10k years regression.

    But I expect it won’t be a sudden draconian imposition of power. I think we’ll have a period of stability, a year or so, before the cracks yawn that wide. People will be so relieved to have a prez who is only senile instead of a flaming lunatic.

    But oil prices WILL rise, like a whole bunch, and with zero financial reserves left, it all having been blown already, and weather crises happening ever more frequently, and no basis for returning to work at what we would call jobs (ther being no basis for such), an infrastructure flabby and worn out, and most new construction made with shoddy materials and techniques, and… and… and… we’ll see enough trouble to keep us occupied, for sure.

    Maybe by then the insanity will agitate the administration to pick a fight it’s too foolish to know it can’t win, and then, I think, we’ll see some majorly hard times.

    Processes, processes, processes, dearies. I’ve heard that Rome didn’t fall in a day. Social inertia is amazingly powerful.

    I don’t foresee a forced vaccination program. So long as big pharma gets it’s $$, I doubt they care whether it gets used or not. Jolted Joe will continue his lousy-at-best imitation of a neo-New Deal (or new Neo-Deal?) panderer, throw some money out there, try not to giggle on camera as the electrode up his ass triggers his pre-recorded speech function.

    They’ll probably round up the most serious genuine “domestic terrorist” threats (there are some, mostly right-wing but some left-wing, but not many). This will “confirm” that those Proud Boys really were about to take over the country by a violent coup involving horrifying weapons like country rap music and low-rider semis burning big-ass coal, and reduce the chances of short-term embarrassments like someone, presumably a soldier in the armed forces, torching a munitions dump.

    Long-term, they’re kind of screwed. It would be nice if the Dominionists still in the Air Force (I understand that element has been somewhat reduced in the past few years) don’t try to trigger Armageddon with military nonsense like torching a nuke, maybe in a remote area or maybe in downtown D.C.

    I don’t see China or France or NK nuking anyone because they chose freedom, but I do see them pulling the plug on the American dollar when it becomes obvious it’s on its last legs. If we act like we’re leaning too close to going postal, I suspect Russia will do some pre-emptive schock’n’awe-ing that will indeed shock’n’awe.

    But I’m probably wrong. Prediction is difficult, especially the future.

    He says white hats (good guys, part of special forces) got Nancy Pelosi’s laptop during the breach of the Capitol on Wednesday. He says she’s frantic, and this is why she’s pushing to impeach Trump

    The Western Empire is kaput. The USA government has failed, it cannot protect its people from the plague or defend itself. Vandals were allowed to enter the inner sanctums of power.

    Russia and the USA are similar. European expansionist settler nations who conquered Siberia and North America. Thirty years later the USA is suffering the same fate as the fall of the USSR. Maybe an authoritarian will save the remnants before the devastation of a second civil war. But it is clear by its ascent that the Biden/Harris Administration is bought and paid for by multi-national corporations. If there is no change, no restoration of functional democracy, millions of middle-aged Americans will die as they did in Russia.

    But American hopes and dreams won’t fade away as long as the Gettysburg Address exists; “all men are created equal” — “these dead shall not have died in vain” — “this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom — and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth”

    You know, I have always shared your disdain for the DNC and the HRC wing of the Democratic Party. I have found the McCarthyite Russia-baiting to be grotesque, but not atypical for someone who started her political career as a Goldwater Girl. I share your fear that Joe Biden and Tom Perez will use the moment to find a way to make calling out election manipulation to be unthinkable if not illegal–even though voter suppression has been standard operating procedure for both parties. And I agree that a class of elites that I refer to as the “gulliberals” will cheer on greater censorship that marginalizes everything except the neoliberal order.

    With that being said, I think you all have lost it. You are making Statler and Waldorf–the old men who always heckled the Muppet Show–look actually clever and intelligent by comparison. You have bent over backwards so much to register your (largely well-deserved) disdain for the Democratic Party, that you have drunk the Cult-45 Kool-Aid hook line and sinker.

    As incoherent as the Capitol raiders were, (and there’s a hilarious Honkey Kong meme circulating involving the idiots that climbed the Capital walls) we are damn lucky that a large portion of the Legislative Branch of the United States wasn’t massacred in a hail of bullets and bombs. There were people very ready and prepared to do just that, with assistance from many Capitol Keystone Cops waving them in (though others were defending the Capitol and one lost his life). While some people were traipsing around enacting their own LARP fantasies in Viking and Roman costumes, others had pipe bombs, Molotov cocktails, and a truck outside manufacturing explosives on demand. Yet you brush this aside as if it were no consequence.

    It appears that the ideological spectrum on TAE has narrowed considerably as independent thinkers abandon this blog. I am now one of them, and am removing my website’s link to your website. TAE appears now to stand for Trogdolytes Accelerating Ennui. Maybe the swamp is in fact swallowing Trump, but it appears that Darwin’s Theory of Evolution is rendering TAE to become a useless limb of an otherwise vital movement.

    Why can’t they be all of the above? A large group is most likely not monolithic. And most of them appear to demonstrate the traits you listed, inclusively. Your description not only describes the mob, but also their leaders who stayed at the White House.

    They were certainly led by elites who believed they had a shot at taking over: the elites who thought they could take over with violent and mafia-style intimidation. They were Trump and all his enablers bunkered down in the White House, probably complaining of bone spurs. Leadership consisted of extremists and terrorists and clowns and actors, just as you described.

    There’s a reason for the Deep State. Every country has one or wants one for their own stability. Even if all borders were deemed null and void, a Deep State would develop. It’s the way of the world, thus far. Can you think why it would be different? The matter is forming the Deep State. Each country has its own methods. Treachery ensues because of the finitude of resources and the human proclivity to see others as others.

    Yes, the USA has gone mad. But is it really all that surprising? Isn’t this exactly what we should expect in a corrupt plutocracy that owns both political parties and the press? Elections stopped mattering even when people still had faith in them. And now that neither side has faith in elections, and computer science professors can demonstrate that it takes less then 5 minutes to hack the machines, aren’t public demonstrations the only option the people have left? Forget the ballot box.

    I think the elites thought they could coopt and redirect the violence. That has been the game plan so far: Instigate violence between Antifa and the Proud Boys. Coopt legitimate grass roots movements like BLM and the Tea Party. Let the poor fight each other in a proxy war with elites pulling the strings in the background. But violence that turns against the State itself? Whoa. Guillotines that threaten to behead the oppressors rather than riffraff criminals? Whoa. That’s not in the playbook. That’s how real revolutions actually get started.

    I tend to be a big believer in quality not quantity. I used to contribute a lot more. Ive been following this blog for about a decade.

    I am amused with your choice of the word “gaslighting.” Gaslighting is make public pronouncements about cheating that occurred and then having your lawyers file court briefings that don’t support your baseless claims. Gaslighting involves having your won-loss record in court across a very wide ideological spread of judges being 1-60 and yet pressing forward with the claim that you were cheated out of an election. Gaslighting means bungling a response to a pandemic so badly that serious questions exist to the extent which the federal government is even useful, and yet still expecting that an overwhelming victory is yours. (Actually, the latter is also a delusion)..

    Democrats and Republicans have for decades engaged in kabuki theater while the quality of life of most Americans have sharply declined. I agree that the U.S. has staged many coups which the media haven’t called coups, but this attempted coup–attempted inside the tent of a live circus–has had about as many casualties as others. Both parties share equal blame for the rise of Trump and the events of the Capitol which now have killed five people.

    While I agree with a handful of the things Trump has done during his Presidency, there’s a certain point where reflexively defending him while saying “I don’t approve of his actions” just doesn’t cut it any more. Resist, Inc. has caused many people to justifiably leave the Democrat fold, which is fine–I stopped calling myself a Democrat in the mid-90s. But if said people become apologetics for Trump’s excesses, then the Deep State loves you too. The Deep State loves all of this.

    However, in order to do all this, those conditions would have to be created, in order to allow it. More ideal conditions than a successful provocation could not exist. But why are we talking so confidently about provocation? …Because, when the same Loan Sharks were waiting for a decision of the Greek Parliament, to plunder Greek society, they knew how to secure the “environment” in order to endure the decision that suited them …They knew how to protect the Parliament in order to avoid problems that would threaten their interests …They knew how they had to act in order to avoid a violent reaction of the “Indignant Citizens’ movement”, which was a real threat to them at that time. That is why they put in front of the Greek Parliament the bat bearing communists and the masked ANTIFA members to protect it from such an unwanted “invasion” and to threaten the Greek people with “bloodshed”.

    In the US, the same people, with the same knowledge and experience, and theoretically for the same reasons, did NOT do the same …While they knew they were still supposedly dependent, by a Capitol Hill “decision,” they left it “unprotected”…While they knew that a huge mob of “Indignant people” would besiege it, they left it without protection, while they had not made sure the decision was right for them. Where were the security forces? Where were the “communist” bat bearers or the Democrats’ ANTIFA members? How the same people, who have the experience of protecting their embassies under conditions of real war in the various regions like Iraq and Afghanistan, seemed “unprepared” within their own capital? …Did the well-known democrat “communists” sit in their homes and watch on television the “mainland villagers” threaten the Capitol Hill, which they needed to decide in their interests? Where was the violent ANTIFA at that time? How realistic could the “siege” have been when it finally became clear that EVERYTHING suited perfectly those who did not do “NOTHING”?

    How much do Zionists, and the corrupt Democrat politicians who serve them, underestimate the American people? Will they tolerate this? Will the American people become another “victim” of the Zionist Bankers’ clique, which is stoning the planet?
