Erdogan invites himself into Iraq. He wouldn’t dare do this without the blessing of the U.S. Is he trying to draw Russia into Iraq too? Erdogan funds groups fighting Syrian/Russian/Kurd forces. Again, with the blessing of the U.S. The Kurds have taken vast sections along the Turkish border, and Erdogan/U.S. must be seething because their proxy army (ISIS) is being pushed back. How the hell are they supposed to defeat Assad with this type of mayhem going on? And where does Iraq really stand? I thought he was a U.S. puppet that Bush installed. Whose side is he really on? Is he secretly (with U.S. blessing) trying to draw Russia into now pushing Turkey out of Iraq, or is he actually worried that Turkey is there? Anyone?

The article I posted yesterday said that Erdogan will suffer a coup by his military. Wasn’t it the military that seized the trucks at the border crossing several days ago, finding them filled with weapons? Maybe the analyst is right, and Erdogan’s military will take him out. If he wants to survive, he needs to share the wealth his family is allegedly making off the sale of ISIS oil. The military will be looking for their cut, or else he will be cut.

From what I’m reading, Syrian forces and Russia are kicking butt. The U.S. is horrified that ISIS is praying to Allah for some assistance at this point. And if the illegal oil trade is cut off, how the heck is ISIS supposed to pay their mercenaries? The U.S. wants to destroy the Russia/Iran/Iraq/Syria axis. The U.S. is now worried, and they want boots on the ground in order to gain back lost ground. How do they do that? Make sure your people are terrorized!

One analyst on CNN said that there are radicalized cells within the United States that the FBI know are just waiting to strike. What if they knew all about the guns/bomb materials that the San Bernardino shooters were amassing, but just let it go? That would surely terrorize the American people and spur them into fighting back. Boots on the ground brought to you right on cue. Ditto, France; after the Paris attacks, France is now supposedly bombing ISIS (with accidental bombings of Syrian army positions thrown in for fun). Now we hear talk of possible terrorist strikes in Britain in the near future. Well, I’d count on that, wouldn’t you? Or Germany? Something more will have to happen in order to get a full-on NATO pounding into the sand!

Mustn’t let our plans of taking out Assad be stopped. They don’t know these things are coming? I don’t believe that for one second.

And now women are allowed in ground combat. Someone must be planning a big war.

Unfortunately, it’s worse than that. The reason only men register for the US draft is because women are not allowed in combat roles. So if women are allowed in combat…? That’s right, they can double the pool of draftees. So what do they do with pregnancies or children? If they allowed an exception, every drafted woman in America would turn up pregnant. And if not excepted, imagine running Paris Island 6 months pregnant. Etc, etc. These are just logistics, not commentary on whether men or women are better fighters. Women snipers on the Russian front were exemplary, for example.

The reference to Turkey’s military is historical: for a long time, the Military had official/de facto veto power to remove the civilian government which was used several times. Although the military has been purged and legally not as true, there is strong precedent for the military to look out for the ultimate good of the Turkish state/people, regardless of the “democratic” winds. Note, this is why Erdogan needs to escalate violently, in order to get things (eg WWIII) in motion before the military can coordinate and act, or could only practically act on NATOs orders to “counter” a Russian “attack”, which is exactly how they are acting–as if Russia shot down Turkey’s plane, not the opposite. Turkey is presently playing games blockading Russia out of the Black Sea via the Straits, which would cause war so fast you wouldn’t believe, WWI style, where blockading would have Russia sending a million men mobilize to the straits, then NATO counter, then tactical nukes, then city nukes within weeks. –Like WWI, once someone mobilizes, all actions from there are a foregone conclusion. Presently, Putin is keeping his head, and the rest of us alive. I notice the UK and co are still working on creating a “boots on the ground, no-fly “Safe Zone” plan, versions XYZ, AA, and BB as if nothing is happening, and their plans are still relevant.

PS, interesting trivia: ISIS, or ISIL, as they prefer to be called, claims “the Levant”: Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Israel, Jordan, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Levant Old news. However, Erdogan’s massive and popular campaign references the restoration of the high Ottoman period, when “Turkey” controlled…Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Israel, Jordan. And Greece, and Serbia up to Vienna, which he’s openly said is his personal goal. Softening up Greece is good! So Turkey is coincidentally transferring billions in oil revenue, through them from sales to BP and Exxon, caught providing 2,000 men and 200 vehicles, openly supporting the “Turkmen” in Northern Syria (the ones who shot down the parachuting pilot), they shoot down Russian planes, and coincidentally ISIL will capture the same territory Turkey wants? And Turkey is releasing a possible army into Europe up the gates of Vienna and beyond? After which Turkey can “take over” and defeat ISIL and permanently add anything presumably ISIL to their territory? Gosh, how convenient. Otherwise, shouldn’t Turkey be a lot more upset about ISIL claiming the exact territory Erdogan wants? Or perhaps the stated goal of his entire campaign was just kidding? I don’t know, there’s a lot of mouthing off and fake promises in politics. You decide.

Turkey has an odd history as the military has continually thrown out governments and taken over. My take, which may be wrong, is they have done it in order to keep the government secular in the name of Ataturk. While only Pepe Escobar was starting to call Erdogan Sultan there was just an article in the NY Review of Books calling him that. I’ve theorized that the neocons have fallen in love with the idea that Turkey can be the the centralizing power in the whole region, as in sort of resurrecting the Caliphate. I also think that Turkey’s attacks on Russia have those same neocons in a state of ecstasy.

As to deflation the number one signal for Americans about everything economic is the stock market. Oddly nobody views stocks as inflating, when stock prices increase they only ‘increase in value’. When they fall however it is understood as deflation, even if it isn’t called that. Heaven and earth are going to be moved to keep any stock correction in the 20% range max.

The chaos everywhere else helps in that regard making the US the last Ponzi standing. (A Lee Adler term) The chaos the US is actively spreading could be via ignorance or error or by design, a tactical gambit or a strategic goal. No matter the motives or lack of same it contributes to keeping US financial and real estate asset inflated. For all practical purposes keeping assets inflated is now the reason for Americas existence. That at least is the driving force of all governance, if you want to call what we have here governance anymore. The populists on the right have zero clue about such things so their growing discontent has up till now helped the elites. They may hate the government for all the wrong reasons but the political center is not going to hold much longer here.

It’s a fine mess all ultimately due to the very reasons AE proscribes.

Dr. Diablo – was listening to a woman give a talk on Islam, and she said their belief is that whatever lands they used to control (Ottoman Empire) have and will forever forward be their land, and they intend to take it back. Once their’s, always their’s. Looks like Erdogan opened the flood gates and got the process going. I’m sure the young children of today will one day thank (not) the old bleeding heart lefties when they are all bowing down on a prayer mat and giving up their daughters in marriage at the age of 9.

Here’s a lecture from Goldsmiths University in England. The lecturer is talked over, her projector is turned off, the lights are turned off, and all by a bunch of Muslim men who, like children, will not listen. The people there kept saying that there would be questions at the conclusion of the talk, but they wouldn’t listen. Indoctrinated buffoons who are completely incompatible with western culture.

“Twenty civilians were killed in a US airstrike on Syria’s Northeastern Hasaka province following another US air raid on the Syrian army base in Southeastern Deir Ezzur province that killed several soldiers earlier today. The US-led airstrikes hit al-Khan near al-Hawl town in Hasakah, killing 20 civilians and injuring 30 others.

Earlier this morning, four US-led coalition warplanes targeted the Syrian army camp with 9 rockets, claiming the lives of 4 soldiers and injuring 16 others.

Both dissidents and government sources confirmed early on Monday that the US warplanes struck the military camp of the Syrian army’s 137th Artillery Brigade (17th Reserve Division) in the Southern part of ‘Ayyash’ village, killing 4 soldiers instantly and wounding 16 more. Six of the wounded soldiers are in critical condition.

They further added that the ISIL terrorists stormed the bombed camp a few hours after the air attack.

The Syrian army’s 137th Brigade has been protecting the civilians in ‘Ayyash’ from the swarming ISIL fighters that are attempting to break into the provincial capital of the Deir Ezzur province from the Northern side; this airstrike only boosted the ISIL positions inside this village and the nearby broadcast tower.”

U.S.A. U.S.A. Way to take down ISIL! (sarc)

And even meek little Israel is in there with their fighters:

“Al-Masdar quotes a military source from the Syrian Air Defense as saying that the Israeli Air Force did indeed violate Syrian airspace on Thursday to strike the 155th Brigade’s Headquarters (also known as the “Missile Base”) for the second time this year and the third time in two years.”

It’s gotten more serious: Turkey just invaded Iraq. “Adventured” might be a better description, given the size of the force. Iraq just gave them 48 hours to leave before they consider it war. That would bring in all of Iran, which, although Turkey is the 10th largest military on the planet, Iran is formidable and lost 1M men for 10 years to fight Iraq to a standstill. They will not be rolled over.

That would be Erdogan’s new Ottoman Empire vs a recreated Persia, backed by Iran’s northern neighbors, Russia proper, and Iraq, and Syria. Let’s not go there.
