Turns Out We Do Have A ‘Deep State’… And It’s “Awesome”
    https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/turns-out-we-do-have-deep-state-amd-its-awesome

NYT, wait, weren’t you berating us last year there is no deep state? And every year for the past few decades?

    from the New York Times:

When we hear “deep state,” instead of recoiling, we should rally. We should think about the workers otherwise known as our public servants, the everyday superheroes who wake up ready to dedicate their careers and their lives to serving us. These are the Americans we employ. Even though their work is often invisible, it makes our lives better.

Ohhh so the actual real workers are The Deplorables, while invisible government paid bureaucrats who do stuff without your approval or knowledge, against the wishes of the representatives elected by the people, demonstrably against your welfare at times, with your tax money or with debt created in your name, THESE are “tEh woRkErZz™”

The continual donning-of-victim’s-flesh-skinsuit crying “I am that thing!” continues.

Casualties reported in incident at concert hall near Moscow

    https://novayagazeta.eu/articles/2024/03/22/at-least-12-reportedly-killed-in-shooting-at-moscow-concert-hall-en-news

At least 40 people were killed and over 100 injured in a shooting at a concert hall in the Moscow suburb of Krasnogorsk on Friday evening, according to Telegram channels 112 and SHOT.

As well as the dead and injured, a further 200 people are also believed to be trapped inside the building as a fire tears through it. The attack on concert goers at the Crocus City Hall was carried out by three men dressed in camouflage, according to state news agency RIA Novosti.

Eye witnesses also described an explosion going off at the concert hall before the shooting, which caused the fire, according to state-run news agency TASS.

On Tucker and contra – immigrants rant (top post)

For sure, the USA ‘open border’ policy is implemented to augment the ‘immigrant’ vote, as it is seen as steadfastly 100% in favor of Dems.

The real reasons are more profound.

See for ex. Brexit, which was touted via the GB version of ‘controlling the border’ to then in post-Brexit years see even MORE immigrants, legal and illegal, enter GB.

But from ‘other places’ -> diminishing sharply from the EU, and upping from India, Bangladesh, etc.

As usual, the W’s need to import cheap labor from afar doesn’t go down but grows, as economies stutter and shrink… due to:

De-industrialisation, energy constraints (!), crumbling infrastructure, ballooning debt (all linked), and usually ignored, or glossed over, trade slowing and being hampered by sanctions, withdrawing from trade agreements, etc. …

Many of the native inhabitants can’t or won’t (for various reasons) work for the lowest pay, and they do vote..

The ‘cheap’ labor is a needed investment, calculated, as (for ex.) in GB, the State, e.g. hospitals, health services, schooling, the Parents, the Families, didn’t pay one pound to create strong, motivated, 18-30 year-olds ready to work for a pittance. Just one factor, there are others…

Thanks. Nice, … nice write up. Nicely put. I’m fully in agreement with a whole thesis! General trouble, however, with all that stuff is projection vis-a-vis one’s time factor. The author states, “Are we – to put it colloquially – heading into a re-run of the Wall Street crash and the ensuing Great Depression?

The answer is that we are.”

… in moi situation, it is when? Time is precious for me. I no longer have much time left, so I’m forced to play market presenting itself today, tight now, … plus three days or so of projection. An example:
    https://realinvestmentadvice.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/image-55.png

… as opposed to long term as depicted in following cartoon:
    https://realinvestmentadvice.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Bull-Bear-Markets-2-052220.png

    Best,

    F.S.

P.S., … thanks for digging up Alex Kreiner essay, too. I have spent large parts of my existence on both sides he writes about as well, … and so I largely concur with his assessment.

The Justice Department is considering whether to offer WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange the opportunity to plead guilty to a reduced charge of mishandling classified information, The Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The American plea deal; you plead guilty or we will squeeze you and make your life a misery until you run out of funds and are begging to die. I didn’t think JA was yet ready to die. What the US calls justice, what the rest of us call outright authoritarian oppression.

Just one of the many reasons I would never step foot in the USA ever again. Same with the UK and Europe, you have no confidence that they will ever release you, especially as people go to jail in those countries just for writing stuff on the internet. I cannot afford to be locked up in some US jail being fucked day and night by bubba while the prison guards pretend to be fixing the CCTV and the lawyers sit by the pool counting their cash.

One person working and suffering for the benefit of society, surrounded by a thousand people grifting off of society; and the numbers are getting worse.

I read the entire article, then listened to Krainer’s interview. Yup, he’s wrong everywhere. Yes, it’s because he has no stable definitions anywhere.

Nice how he proves my every point though. “The U.S. is now just like the USSR,” he says. …Does that mean it’s not Capitalist, sir? You just defined it as the exemplar apex of Capitalism but at the same time it’s ALSO the apex of Socialism? Etc, about a dozen of these. The core basis of the article is the believe in the Deflationary Gap. That happens is, people get better at making products, prices drop, then – Reasons. Then “Reasons” mean you can never, ever, ever, ever come out of Depression again. Ever. Getting poorer and poorer each day, amen.

Okay, we’re on a Pacific atoll, we land, we land and…nothing. We work. Before long, we have huts, fishing nets, canoes, ovens, cocoanut groves, all kinds of things. Then…REASONS happen. We all get poorer and poorer and poorer no matter how hard we work. …And then we all die.

Tell me: what is “Money” adding to this picture? If we’re working every day, where is the “Poorer” happening? Is it because when we landed, a coconut was really rare, precious, worth 10 fish, but now we have thousands and it’s worth 1/10th of a fish? Sounds like we’re all RICHER. Eating better, with more security.

BUT! He has a solution! You can never, ever ever leave the Deflationary Gap – in fact, we’re still in the same one that started with Nimrod. So The professor has a solution: we create money! We hire a central government wasting 60% of taxes and a rapacious Central Bank! Yes, we stop everything we’re doing, and go mine very specific seashells to use as currency. Soon we have so many seashells that we have inflation, even HIGH inflation, and then we have more fish and more coconuts with less work because — REASONS.

Tell me, what did “Money” add to this equation? Besides immense, unprofitable overhead?

And then he also says, if a neighbor nation has inflation, they grow so much faster you have to create inflation yourself otherwise you’ll be conquered. And it’s true! Like this:

The nearby Yap people are also creating currency from shells, and even pearls. So our Atoll follows them, but harder! We start making wampum like nobody’s business! Man, we’ve got wampum belts, wampum chairs, wampum hammocks…we made so much of the stuff we make wampum fishing nets! And that’s when the bows and arrows, the .308, the Hellfire missiles, started popping out if the ground! Pew-Pew! Everywhere! We almost had to stop making wampum just to get rid of the stuff!

Tell me, what did “Money” add to this equation? The arms came from…trees? Seashells? Rocks? Where?

No, IF your neighbor country arms, you arm. The amount of arms is the amount of resources they can raise, and the organizational way they create and deploy them. You might notice there were arms races BEFORE and without fiat. You might notice there is fiat without arms races. You might notice countries with Fiat, such as Sweden and Germany are defeated. You might notice countries without it are victorious. And also the opposite. Socialists have won and lost, such as Russia. Capitalists have won and lost, such as France.

So tell me, what did “Fiat” add to this equation?

So besides mis-defining everything, not understanding anything, painting everything with the sloppiest brush I’ve seen for some time, this is the level of intellectual and philosophical thought he brings. Hard pass. I got enough problems without deconstructing every other sentence for him ‘cause he can’t define terms and think straight.

And the entities with monopoly power just force more stupid things on the public while losing money.

Ain’t that the truth. I am sure the same can be seen in every field but looking at computing, the incredibly poor standards in use today on the internet are imposed by the likes of Microsoft, Intel, Apple etc. Even the people writing the standards seem to not understand their subjects and betray themselves in what they write.

I am convinced that these terrible standards are one of the reasons that the internet of things took so long to take off, the old microcontrollers used to power almost every embedded device, from coke machine to toaster, and cost only a few bucks, could never use the internet protocols that were written for computers with massive processors, basically desktop computers.

Just take xml, how could a microprocessor with less than 2k of memory start communicating with xml? It probably could not store a single message in its memory, so the code would have to spend all its time constructing and deconstructing messages on the fly, that is if the microcontroller had enough memory to even store the names of the tags used in the message. And lets face it, 95 to 98% of xml is waste, the remaining few percent is the actual data.

I am sure there is a use case for xml somewhere, but these terrible standards are being used everywhere, they are the lazy man’s go to technology being pushed by the big monopolists instead of doing proper standards and protocol development.

Queen Elisabeth was quoted saying that she accepted that the covid vaccines was going to shorten her life when she was losing her battle with cancer. In others words she was suffering from turbo cancer. Normally she would have lived a number of more years if it hadn’t been for getting tgecovidvaccine.

King Charles is most certainly suffering from tge effects of covid vaccine induced turbo cancer..

I have to wonder about kate Middleton re – covid vaccine victum too?

I have to side with Dr. D.
When production falls it does not cause deflation!
If demand is still the same, then prices will increase! Not fall.

To understand why socialism always fails, all you have to do is form a small group of people where everything produced, is shared equally! The lazy ones will find an excuse to bugger off to avoid the hard work required and the hard workers will soon say fuck it and stop too!

When I was in the USSR, shopping was a rather time consuming process.
This was of course by design because the communist couldn’t produce enough to meet demand.

First, you stood in a line for what you wanted to buy. Once at the counter you received a piece of paper listing your selection.

Second, you then stood in another line to pay for your selection. After paying for your selection you received another piece of paper saying that you had paid for your selection.

Third, you then stood back in the first line to pick up your selection!

The first thing you noticed was that you were always standing behind the same people no matter which line you were in!

Just another socialists form of rationing scarce goods!

In Canada it is month’s long waiting lists for medical treatment.
There is no waiting list for MAIDS if you can’t wait that long for medical treatment!

Looks like the Russians have ALL of the terrorists in custody. That is very impressive. Putin and the Russian military must have some pretty decent security surrounding Moscow. The question is whether they can torture these people enough – and threaten their families back in the USA enough – to get them to squeal and reveal who paid for this assault.

    Well done Russia, good job.
