There seems to be two different thoughts on the attack on Israel.
One is that the attack was allowed to happen. Some think of Gaza as a concentration camp, or even an extermination camp. This attack may be used to justify more on the extermination side for years to come.
The other view is that Hamas actually overcame all the Israeli defenses and the ‘win’ was genuine. If so then it seems Hamas is using intelligence more than bravado. In the past they have achieved minimal damage and suffered large retribution.
The question is what happens next?
Do Hamas have the resources to carry out further attacks? We are in an era where small cheap weapons can destroy large expensive ones. If not then Israel will spend some time bombing Hamas [and any nearby civilians].
If Hamas have enough resources to carry out further attacks then it depends on how effective any damage on Israel is. They have missiles, but they are only as good as their accuracy. Iran seems to have developed accurate guidance systems which could make the missiles more destructive, IF Hamas have these on their missiles.
The worst possibility is that it spreads to a larger war involving Iran, Lebanon and Syria. Israel is already claiming Iran was involved in this attack. Iran could block oil through the Straits of Hormuz, causing problems globally but mainly for the West.
It could be another step on the way to a World War : NATO vs BRICS.
The Human Spirit cannot be controlled, crushed or destroyed when it is truly Spiritual.
They may have a Jewish owned printing press waiting to fill their bank accounts- but the West and Israel are Spiritually bankrupt. They do not stand a chance against the Spiritually motivated justified defenders of Human decency.

Historical analogies fall short when looking at the current warfare developing in Occupied-Palestine/Israel.
“Pearl Harbor” is much cited, and one must consider the “new Pearl Harbor”, which was 9/11 in a similar light. Both were secretly arranged to allow American leadership to engage in forms of global warfare, at the initial cost of “somebody else” slaughtering thousands of unsuspecting Americans. I think this analogy is not quite right, because “America”, “the empire” is on its back foot now, losing hegemony, and doubling down on a new war as each prior new-war fails. Afghanistan gives way to Ukraine, and now to Israel/Palestine.The Sarajevo assassination of Archduke Ferdinand in 1914, which triggered WW-1 through interlocking treaties, might be a better fit, but that remains to be seen.
At least empires were lost in WW-1, which seems ready to happen again at this point in history.I am also reminded of the Tet Offensive of 1968, when Vietcong irregular forces, living throughout South Vietnam, put on their black pajamas, loaded their AK-47s and took to every street at once.
