Thailand on Sunday reported its first death from the highly transmissible Omicron coronavirus variant.
Songkhla’s public health office said an 86-year-old woman who was bedridden and suffering from Alzheimer’s disease had succumbed to the virus and was pronounced dead last Wednesday at Hat Yai Hospital where she had been receiving treatment.
Samples from her were sent for examination by Songkhla’s centre for medical sciences which confirmed she had been suffering from the Omicron strain.

To cloak their betrayal and treachery, the parties have pursued a divide-and-conquer distraction game, pushing half the nation into one-size-fits-all “enemies lists” with labels that have lost all meaning other than as means to promote divisiveness and rancor: Liberal and Conservative, socialist and capitalist, etc.
