The U.S. was established in “free market capitalism” where to get a charter, business license for a corporation, you had to explain to Congress how your corporation would serve the good of the people. Or be denied because we don’t need any Hudson Bay/East India companies with private standing armies stinking up the place for citizens. And like the Brooklyn Bridge Company, when the listed task is done, the Corporation is automatically disbanded.
So, Facebook, you want to explain why you deserve a business license? Fargo, you want to explain how you still have a banking license? ‘Cause looks to me like you’re trying to unseat and overthrow the government.
They explain, using GameStop as an example, the reason they exist is because THEY always win, and therefore YOU must always lose. If they “lose,” they get a Federal Taxpayer bailout with your money and investigate the winners using the FBI and SEC until…you lose and they win. That’s Free-market. That’s Capitalism. Where the government is constantly, totally involved with no price-discovery, no competition, and no bankruptcy.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has warned against the same scenario that triggered international tensions leading to World War II.
