This comment about Berejiklian “I kid you not: She’s been accused of taking tens of millions from Pfizer and AstraZeneca.” not helpful and part of the problem btw. Her proven corruption is enough of a story IMO.

The biggest puzzle is still why there is so little outrage…anywhere. Is it widespread capitulation to a system which simply cannot be brought to heel? Has the social media SOMA attenuated human passion so completely? I guess it will take finding no Twinkies or Pop Tarts in the grocery store to get people into the street.

I actually found this a bit rambling. I think I get the point, but when I am reading articles like this which I see a lot here or on Zerohedge or similar places, I often jump to the end to see if there is a closing paragraph with a strong conclusion or suggested call to action. I felt this started out with a fun and creative direction but got tedious near the end.

The world needs a new peer to peer organizational structure which can outmanoeuvre the top down oligarchies currently using the internet and cellphones to monitor and control the masses. From everything I am seeing, the oligarchies are winning, but yeah, something new is needed. As I heard Raul say with Jim Kunstler on his podcast, things aren’t looking good for the human race if you project or extrapolate our last few millennia of tireless and voracious record of death and destruction. The current top down or hub and spoke control structure might drive us to extinction. If we are able to actually snap out of the stupor and see the crisis, the human ability to act coherently could overcome our amazing penchant for denial.

The key is for the new structure to self-emerge and simply leave behind the system which is literally killing everything on earth.

Yes Zerosum. Exactly. Any sacrifice is fine as long as the other guy is forced to sacrifice more. Any stock market loss is fine if everybody is losing. Any denial possible is cool as long as we’re all denying it together. Human annihilation is alright as long as nobody is embarrassed or loses face.

The SECOND it looks like the smart folks are selling, cool people aren’t smoking or only old fashioned losers use fossil fuels, the herd will change direction and levee will break. (segue to Led Zeppelin song of that name…)

Good work. I read your Debt Rattle every day (just made an ID now!)

It’s hard for humans to admit we are the problem and not the solution. Is cancer a terrible disease if you are a cancer cell? Bravo for reminding us of the 2nd law which essentially damns us as machines which convert energy to create entropy, no matter what we do, even if is in futile efforts to clean things up. It is so frustrating to to be faced with the inescapable reality that the only solution is temporary and that solution is to do is little as possible. History has shown us that the humans that do the MOST (not the least) prevail and supplant the ones who do less. Solution: get ready for each change as it comes, observing how the changes get closer and closer together, though slowly and gradually.

As for debt, why get out of debt if it will all default? I say get IN debt since it will all default and the counterparties are going to pay (the pension funds). If you are saving, make sure you are not the counterparty to somebody else’s future debt default. There is no way on earth all this debt will be repaid. Not unless a quarter of all working people become collection agents.
