Humans aren’t reproducing at numbers to even replace themselves in most of the world.
The parts still ‘growing’ will hit resource/energy limits soon enough.
Modern ‘economics’ has no working models OR experience in running large economies that are contracting.
It is The Kiss of Death, contraction.
Add in Real AI, not the dog and pony proof-of-concept that passes off as ‘ai’, but the classified real stuff coming down the pike and many people will fulfill and manifest the very definition of “useless eaters”.
This current form of contraction is not so much driven by energy resources as it is by people giving up reproducing.
And reproduction will drop because of medical reasons like covid killshots and lousy nutrition and dysfunctional behavior by the new cohort of ‘young people’ who don’t even talk to each other in person or even make eye contact.
