I do not agree with this view point, I think it is more complicated, I had my doubts after Syria, but am not convinced. It is interesting to hear PCR’s view given how critical he has been of Putin’s special military operation and how he didn’t do shock and awe. PCR also thinks we are on the verge of nuclear war, another prediction I do not see as a possibility.
Interesting take on how the outcome of the Putin-Trump meeting, as told by Witkoff, is simply not possible.

I am very interested in how, in all western societies, the participation rate is falling; noticeably it is falling most among the working class and less among the middle class. I am trying to work out how this is due to Marxism and why the Marxists would want this. My understanding of Marxism is that the exploitation of workers is considered bad, but what does the decline in participation mean in Marxist terms? Why would the Marxists do this if they care about all of society? Surely this is just increasing the gap between rich and poor. Although this policy is obviously successful, I am struggling to see how it fits into the framework of Marxism.
@jb-hb Are you saying that the USA business class moved industrial production to China as part of a Marxist plot? Were they so enamoured of Marxism that they moved production to a different country, a Marxist country? So it was nothing to do with capitalism?
When Reagan oversaw the move from an industrial economy to a financial economy, was this also part of the Marxist takeover of the USA? That one move exacerbated the wealth gap, is still increasing the wealth gap, it also increased dependence on government, increasing the power of government. Was this also part of a Maxist plot, and if so, why did Reagan go along with it?
What about the moral decline of the USA and the introduction of AI to take over jobs? Is this the end of the “exploitation of labour” that Marx was talking about with his communist society? Is the USA now closer to a “communist society” than it was 50 years ago?

Of course it is a ponzi scheme, one using modern technology, there is nothing backing bitcoin, it depends entirely on the demand from future investors; it is wasted energy used to give people the impression of an investment vehicle. But actually it is just another fiat currency, but without the backing of a country’s economy, so actually it is simply empty. People refer to the stock market as a ponzi scheme in that it is totally over priced, but at least there are companies behind it; bitcoin survives because there is so much cash floating around and so few places to invest it in constructive activities.
Unlike real assets, like gold, iron, oil, forestry etc, all your government has to do is close down bitcoin on the internet and your dreams are ended. Your government can do the same with real assets, no difference. You, as an individual can use bitcoin, but you do not have the power to mine bitcoin, just like gold, oil, forestry etc. As for distributed, that just is not the case.

I know, it is fucking weird, for example, why hasn’t the pope condemned the Christian evangelicals? My theory on Israel is that it was created so that Jewish billionaires could commit crimes that they could not commit under their own names as citizens of other countries. Once the elite billionaires have destroyed democracy, they will become kings and there will be no need for Israel; we are 90% of the way there, Gaza seems to be a trial run for something bigger. However, having said that, Israel may still provide a useful tool for the billionaires to assassinate people anonymously, without any comeback …. the citizens just say “Oh it was Mossad” as if that is okay, as they did with 9/11, then continue sucking jew dick, like RIM does with Trump.
Why do the leaders not rise up against Israel? Because they were all appointed by Israel and their elite associates; the billionaires club. The public never has a chance to select a party representative, that is for the party, and the party needs money to run, so the elites control the cash tap and the selections. Nobody is going to get into politics without their say so, Trump being the most obvious pretend boss. Biden was also a pretend boss, but he lost the mental capability to follow the script; Trump still seems to be able to follow the script although he got a biot lost on the Russia peace deal, I guess he is feeling his age. If Trump’s memory gets any worse, the policies will continue but he will not be involved in the theatre show.
In a way the world has reverted to tribalism, a few rich tribal leaders at the top, they own all the levels below. The likes of Musk, owned by billionaires above him, same with other billionaires. Africans and Jews can tell you how this works out, they are the tribalists of the current world.

If Trump is offering peace – and the losers will always eventually offer peace, it is inevitable – then his owners have decided that there is nothing to be gained in continuing to degrade Russia, or they have something to offer Putin and desperately want Putin to take the offer … a trap.
For RIM to praise the loser for offering peace after letting so many people die in war and losing so much of their land is ridiculous. Maybe RIM is now a fan of Hitler, for offering peace at the end of WW2? Or Hirohito in Japan for surrendering after the atomic bombs? You have to wonder what delivery system the Israelis have to deliver their nuclear weapons. As they do not have any missile technology capable of such a task – we know this from watching their attack on Iran and the performance of the Iron Dome – so you have to assume that they will use F35s to drop the bombs – gravity bombs – onto the target. Of course, in true Israel style, they could smuggle them into the target country and detonate them. Of course, with Trump in office, the USA will probably beg to provide Israel with cruise missiles to deliver the weapons, although those missiles will probably end up being inferior to the job at hand.

Both these statements, and there are many more, are patently wrong and are not backed by any evidence. Absolutely wrong. Firstly, there is the assumption that spreading disease between healthy people is a bad thing. This was absolutely wrong and was never a historical way of dealing with pandemics. The historical way was to protect the vulnerable and let the healthy be the first line of defense. Locking down children was one of the most ridiculous and useless actions, but we had to protect granny. As you say, RIM got it wrong big time.
The vaccines did nothing, so in the end everybody alive caught Covid and survived, so what was the point of lockdowns? They just tried to delay us all getting Covid so we could catch it later? I very much doubt they had any effect on Covid.
Covid was all about testing. The story of its emergence was bullshit, it was a man-made scam, I do not believe that the elites would be brave enough to release an actual pathogen that could have destroyed their own children, and I do not believe that the elites were clever enough to have their own secret vaccine to protect themselves but not the plebs. It was all controlled through the testing, which was why African leaders (real leaders, not the puppets we have in the west) paid with their lives for mocking the blatantly corrupt tests.

This is something that amazes me; the Jimmy Savile scandal revealed may people, including Keir Starmer, who turned a blind eye to Mr Savile’s crimes. The military potential of a country is generated by building a military where all the troops combine their power to fight a common enemy using violence. Putin forces his will on Ukraine using violence, the only actual power that Russia can use to force an outcome in Ukraine. Netanyahu forces his will on Gaza using violence, the only actual power that he has over the people of Gaza. Your view of each conflict will depend on your view of how honourable the actors behave and whether their goals are honourable.
