The worst about being an engineer in a small shop (actually, parasitical biz owner that refused to hire adequate staff, in the end destroying the company after I left) was having to wear so many hats…
Until I took over Eng’r, they had always done hand drafting & one of the requirements of me coming on board was ACAD with a full size HP plotter (1988).
I got one assistant, when I needed five!
Even with that (really still the stone age) I feel like a part of me is still lost in the black hole of new product development + technical data packages for .MIL jobs…

Likely software, and a choice of when to create a new record for a post. It’s possible a record is created the moment a user begins typing. At CFN, you have to first click ‘Reply’ and then are given a ‘Cancel’ button. In that case, it makes sense, as the replies are threaded. Creating a record first keeps the flow of conversation somewhat undamaged. If the user cancels, that number is burned. It’s just a number.

Make one initial mistake, something old fingers and eyes do a lot, and that mistake can compound via what Raul described. This is especially true of Editing. That’s a dicey trick these days. One creates one’s own black hole into which both posts and number sequence continuity disappear (except to Raul the All-Seeing Eye).
The majority of my posts were one offs & you can’t edit a post that isn’t there 😉
I even took a day off, cleared firefox, still with the same result.
I was only able to post text, which never stopped, period.
I don’t attribute this to our gracious host, who I am forever grateful for given his fearless contributions to humanity…
Although I am woefully lacking info/data, I actually found it amusing that a TAE “superior” showed up to reprimand the sacrilegious in the middle of this “change”.
Perhaps WordPress, who has overarching control of TAE, was alerted to my blasphemous posts, this actually makes the most sense given techies hatred of all things American…

I remember visiting TAE over a decade ago, finding the tribal mindset abhorrent.
In the third quarter of 2020 I visited again, finding an entirely different scenario where information, opinions, experiences + moral/spiritual support was prevalent in the face of the calamity EVERYONE is living through in this age of bio-weapons, terrorism & totalitarian madness…
It would be a shame to lose that spirit & return to tribal closed mindedness, but that appears exactly what is occurring.

The Tribal Mind: Moral Reasoning and Public Discourse
Moral reasoning is often used to intensify partisan loyalty. In that respect, it can actually harm public discourse.
In this essay, I examine the problem of moral reasoning and offer three proposals for mitigating its damaging effects:
The first is to take opposing points of view at face value, rather than attempt to analyze them away reductively.
The second is to police your own side, meaning that one should attempt, contrary to instinct, to examine more critically the views of one’s allies than the views of one’s opponents.
The third is to “scramble the teams” by creating situations in which people of differing political views must work together to achieve a goal requiring cooperative effort.
This essay is inspired in large part by reading Jonathan Haidt’s new book, The Righteous Mind. It also draws on a number of other works that look at the role of moral reasoning for both the individual and society.
What I take away from Haidt is the hypothesis that our capacity to think about moral and social problems evolved from an ability to rationalize our actions. Thus, our capacity to rationalize our moral and political beliefs is much greater than we realize; conversely, our capacity for detached reasoning about moral and political issues is much less than we realize. The fact that we rationalize more readily than we reason helps to sustain political polarization.
The work of Haidt and other psychologists is persuasive and disturbing. It exposes a tendency to form ideological tribes that use moral arguments as rationalizations. Tribes will go out of their way to misunderstand one another. If we want to get along better and resolve differences more easily, it will take conscious effort to overcome tribal behavioral instincts.

Me thinks the real issue of Vaxxed/Unvaxxed in COVID casualties is often that the jabbed rates are 70% vs. a much smaller pool of the control group, which of course would skew it towards those injected with the highly ineffective koolaid.
The more important number/percentage going forward is the rise in non-COVID related casualties among the vaxxed vs. unvaxxed compared to historical numbers (ADE, Heart disease, Organ disease, Dementia, et al.)…
THAT is what is disturbing, it also appears the DEATH vax will disable/kill MANY on an increasing basis.
And it also seems apparent that those that received low dose mRNA to date will be boosted until they too become part of the big pharma massacre…

Citing an onslaught of angry messages directed at Dr. Anthony Fauci, who Collins appears to believe is above criticism, the bureaucrat demanded that those responsible for such behavior should be identified and “brought to justice.” The article cited one such example of “misinformation” being Fauci’s involvement in barbaric experiments conducted on dogs by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), despite the fact that such cruelty factually occurred under Fauci’s leadership.
While Collins didn’t specify precisely what he meant by “brought to justice,” Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla previously asserted that individuals who spread false information about COVID vaccines are “criminals” who “have literally cost millions of lives.”

I wish I had documented all the insanity I heard from those types over the years, I could have written a script & sold it to Hollyweird 😐
Also one of my regular drinking buddies was a CIBC director (40+ years), who confirmed almost every TPTB conspiracy theory I threw at him.
I usually ended up drinking more, I seldom have/had hangovers unless I pushed into alcohol poisoning territory, which I did on a regular basis towards the end of 2012…
I also learned that drinking at least a pint of water before passing out staves of the worst of booze’s after effects.
I might also add that I’m in quite a bit of pain daily, due to degenerative disk disease in my middle/low back, minor arthritis in one shoulder, both thumbs & a blown-up hip (the worst pain) that I would have replaced by now if I didn’t have my Mom to care for 24/7, then a bio-weapon released & the medical community headed in demonic possession.
Interesting times indeed!
At the moment I am sober & have every intention to stay that way 😉

I started drinking (getting drunk) again after 8 years 5 months of sobriety, I can’t handle all the suffering anymore…
I rescue abandoned animals by the arm full, yet they keep coming.
I help others in the same hell, putting their rescues on my adopt-a-pet/petfinder websites, sorting through calls where 80-90% of the potentials are people/places I wouldn’t place a furbaby, forget about them being of any real use to other humans…
Then I wonder what will happen to these poor souls, many of which have received the death injection(s), where will they end up when their families become sick, disabled or dead? 😐
What will happen to these marvelous furry souls that the Infinite has placed in our hands?
We have rescued hundreds of kittens, cats & dogs over the last three decades, but it’s a complete shit show now!
The sadness of suffering is almost more than my soul can bear, thus the escape through alcohol ~ A poison that almost killed me before I got sober the last time…
I poured out the last few ounces of booze I have in the house, I really hope I’m done.
I have work still to do helping innocents, as well as supporting others doing the same, I hope m spirit is enough to carry me through this dark age…
My mother is in a nursing home, I have requested that her other children/grandchildren attend in my stead, after 800+ days non-stop I can’t deal with it anymore ~ She’s nearing the end, hospice is probably the next step.
My spiritual intuition tells me that things will become MUCH darker, I doubt I will see the light in this life again, but caring for my wife & our Les Misérables keeps me going ~ I used to help other humans, but that has gotten impossible…
