How much does the EU cost? Per time unit, per country, per taxpayer?

I suspect you are now being paid to post pro-Trump propaganda. You used to have a balanced take but now you are basically licking his boots.

I don’t think it’s my take that changed. Before some people started hatingTrump the way they do, that kind of hatred didn’t exist in the US.

The war in Ukraine is not about Ukraine. It’s about ..,

Russia. The age old desire to conquer Russia, and all of its resources.

Europe has nothing left, no energy, no money. There is not one single EU company that means anything in the increasingly AI economy.

All UK and France can come up with is the same old. Napoleon, Hitler and now Von der Leyen..

This time, though, Russia has directed nukes at London, Paris and Brussels. Checkmate.

I’m reading a CNN article and wondering what my readers think. Not so much about the words, but about the extent to which this goes these days.

President Donald Trump’s political stature is so poor right now that he has squandered the Republican Party’s advantage on two major issues that almost always favor the GOP: the economy and national security…

Is “Trump’s political stature so poor”? Not among his voters, which form half the US population plus x. So among who? CNN viewers? But nobody watches CNN?!

    Boogaloo,

Good to see you yesterday, with your own AI assessment of what I was questioning about the “news” on Trump’s collapsing polls, and Iran undertaking. Looks like it’s safe to say we largely agree: no collapse.

I think perhaps we need to repeat all the time that half the nation hates their president because it was told to do so. Trump cannot exceed 51% in the polls.

But then your second post: You say TAE has “Lots of Zionist propaganda” (I think not), “lots of anti-Iran vitriol” (I have nothing against Iran, their ’leaders’ are a very different story, “and virtually no criticism of the genocidal expansionist ethno-supremacist apartheid state in the Middle East.” (wasn’t that caught in the Zionism comment, or do we have more than one such state?)

Anyway, nice to see you. Let’s talk.

Don’t hear much about the White Man’s Burden these days

There’s literally an article in today’s line up, by Paul Craig Roberts, called:

The Most Engangered Species of All is White People

    What are you on?

in reply to: Debt Rattle June 29 2026 #243725

I notice many of those writers who got us through the past decade, the covid and Ukraine times, seem to have lost their touch. Don’t really know what to replace them with, other than 100 different voices. We do what we can, but that’s a lot of reading.

Dr. D: It’s not Canada or the US. It’s the European countries that you would miss/recognize. Advantage of having your own culture/language. Doesn’t make you better, but sure as hell more recognizable. Until a bunch of idiots send another bunch of idiots to invade you and you welcome them.

in reply to: Debt Rattle May 28 2026 #241560

We should only figure people you agree with, Boogaloo? And that includes Trump…

in reply to: Debt Rattle May 25 2026 #241336

    Yeah Dr. D,

I was reading a CNN piece earlier on Iran, and there’s no way according to them that Trump can come out on top. Les yeux sont faits. And what is left to say?

in reply to: Debt Rattle May 22 2026 #241160

Mr. Meijer you have certainly mastered the art of ambiguity the morning.

    That is lunacy.

I’m sure it means something in your woirld.

in reply to: Debt Rattle May 16 2026 #240756

    Well,

    Boogaloo, Eion et al

For the first time in a very long time, we may have what could pass for the beginning of a discussion. Boy, have I missed that here.

Not that we agree, but that’s what discussions are all about, right?

To all those here who don’t like Trump (and then some), I want to ask: where were you when Biden was “in office”? Where were your protests?

    Love y”all

in reply to: Debt Rattle May 16 2026 #240750

Just peeked in, for the first time in a while. Sad to see a great site turn into a Trump Cheerleader. I’ll forever be puzzled as to what turned TAE.

What? What ideas have people ever had in the past? My view of Trump has never changed. I don’t think. But some people’s ideas have gone so far beyond reasonable, that I feel I have no choice but to insert some balance.

But yeah, guilty, I think Trump is better than Biden. Chastise me. Spank me.

The publishing software is acting up. It said Publishing Failed, where there were even Comments already.. It also changed the Comments section into this version where nothing is saved. I pressed Publish again, and all is well. Except the comments are gone. Sorry TBOC. I’ll check for mistakes like this in the future.

When I see how people link Iran and Ukraine together, it tells me they don’t see what they do. That’s sort of fine, we can think different things.

But making TAE just another anti-Trump site is just too stupid. “Trump kills little children”. Do you get paid to say that?

“We didn’t expect a deal in 24 hours. It must look difficult. The US needs to hand Iran the words that say whoever’s in charge there didn’t really lose. They must save face.”

No, I’m right. But go right ahead and believe the US is losing.

…from back in 2008/9 during the GFC, during the Arab Spring in 2010/11, throughout the Greek “technocracy” betrayal in 2011, the occupy wall street movement, brexit, trump 1.0, Covid, the Ukraine war (and many more besides).

It has been a wild ride. Rest easy man, you deserve it.

Yeah, it’s looks wild, if you put it that way,

But ‘rest easy’? Where’s the fun in that?

    This is funny:

I didm’t change, so you must have.
