I thought it was John the baptist. Lawrence of Arabia?! Who’s DBS? Cousin of TDS, twice removed? Nah, just a good drawing. Could have made it a caption contest.

The House last night voted to defund (to $1) the salaries of Mayorkas, Lloyd Austin and John Kerry. Did I miss anyone?

Donald Trump is not a small man at 6’3‘‘ (190cm). But his son Barron, at 17 years old, is already 6’8‘‘ (203cm).

I think people don’t get what is happening: if, as the opening article today, Double Jeopardy, says, you can’t sue a sitting president for acts perpetrated in office (only the Senate can) , it’s very doubtful that you could sue him for the same acts after he left that office. This is totally apart from guilt or any issue like that, it’s about the “word of the law”.

But people share Trump being indicted, and his mugshot being shared, as if that’s entirely normal. Really, it is not. There’s a reason Trump is the 1st president ever “mugshot”. “That’s the law doing its work”. Yes, but “the law” is no longer independent. It’s a political force.

A few weeks ago I asked if the US could have an election in 2024, in connection with these issues. Now, I wonder if it can have a country. Seriously. You can’t have one party locking up the no.1 candidate from the other party. You just can’t. It all stops there. It’s no longer about counting votes, we passed that point years ago.

I was right in 3 of 4 new BRICS members, Saudi, Iran, Argentina. But not Indonesia (275 million people), which was on my list. Also no Nigeria (215 million). But Ethiopia (120 million) and UAE (9.3 million) made it. Not easy to figure out motivations.

FWIW: When I get the spam window, I click on my browser’s back link button and try again, then repeat if that does not work. Usually just reposting does the trick. Ignore the spam screen, it is garbage, it never works, it asks you to add two numbers then gives you just one number. What sort of cretin wrote this garbage.

“What is the spam window?” I cant reproduce your experiences, that makes it hard.

I think the Losing Posts thing yesterday was part of a discussion about the merits of moving TAE to some other webhost

What losing posts “thing”? And why would we discuss a webhost? Does anyone know what the present host is?

in reply to: Debt Rattle August 22 2023 #141754

Saw some comments late in yesterday’s thread about people’s comments disappearing, or the whole site disappearing, but I didn’t catch where that idea came from. Why would that happen?

Opened today’s post not long ago and it tells me: “”This topic has 18 replies (+18 hidden)””.

Turns out, it’s just about all jb-hb, posting the same things over and over again. That won’t work of course. If something doesn’t show up in 10 seconds, wait a bit.

The system is stressed, and you’re stressing it more.

phoenixvoice, wishing you a lot more than luck.

And if there’s anything we can do to help, you know where we are. Unfortunately, far away from Phoenix, but if the advent of the interwebs has told us anything, it’s that we just don’t know how we can connect; it’s all new.

    Please don’t be a stranger.

oh, and keep it short please..

I see one comment today, from Aspnaz, that the system refused, and made it the second time. that’s it.

in reply to: Debt Rattle August 12 2023 #141102

OK, if you want, let’s put some commenting complaints in a row. We’ve had some trouble with an ad service interfering with comments recently. John Day posts comments so long it’s a miracle the platform doesn’t spit them out more frequently, but other than that? 😉 😉 😁

A special counsel looking into Hunter Biden, designed exclusively to stop anyone else’s access to relevant documents. Can you say 2025?

And YouTube shuts down all of Scott Ritter’s channels. Yeah, we’re moving forward.

As for the WordPress/AI /spam thingy: I have no control of it. But I would advise patience. I see John Day try again and again, and that ain’t doing the trick. Just please know it ain’t me, I don’t censor, other than when you get way out of line.

And not one comment on that amazing 4,500 year old wooden head sculpture…. I can look at that for ages. The eyes, the soft expression, the kindness, this is someone I could meet today, and have a great conversation with. And then you think: that’s quite the cleft there in his forehead. 4,500 years. What was happening then where you live?

Is anyone else getting weird popups from TAE?

Yes. We’ll be back to normal soon.

in reply to: Debt Rattle July 27 2023 #140013

No viruses, don’t worry. Just overzealous ad servicers. But TAE needs ads, so we try from time to time. I think Dan took care of it by now. Next!

Background question: How are MacGregor and Ritter still able to talk out there all day? Who’s protecting them? Is it just because they’re not a White House Chef?

1st: They are respected military guys. 2nd: They have so far only been on small channels. Wait till Tucker Carlson gets a hold of them.

Is air conditioning ubiquitous in Greece?

Not ubiquitous and not in my apt

And what is the humidity like?

Not too bad, but Athens is a port city.

Comments suspicious, like last night? No additional comments by 8am EST? Is there a tech issue instead?

    I hadn’t noticed anything.

With all its climate bullshit, TAE continues to do a great disservice to humanity, promoting increased levels of suffering in the future.

Now now now. Did you miss the entire Covid thing too? I’m saying there are questions, and there should be. Not allowed for Covid, and see where that got us. “The science” for CO2 or “the climate” has by no means been settled. And parrotting the panic induced by the control freaks at WEF et al will not settle it. You’re going to have to prove it. And no, that hasn’t happened yet.

“Just Stop Oil” equals “Just Stop Society”. Because society was built on and with oil (and some coal). There is no replacement. Better be careful. And better make sure you have proof. Seeing temperatures rise at the same moment CO2 levels do, is no proof. Those are just two variables. In a field where dozens of variables play a role, over a long period of time. And if you think you can force billions of people into uncomfortable lives, on the heels of doing just that with lockdowns and masks and killer gene therapies, good luck.

They find a Hunter cocaine bag, they know because they know he was in the room, security doesn’t fingerprint it because they know it was him, and then someone says: Oh no, there’s lots of people using cocaine in the White House.

And you doubt he’s the smartest guy in the world?! Look, he gets away with everything.

I know it’s Lake Titicaca, but other than that I’d have to dig real deep. It’s been a long time.

Superb early Mondrian today. Long way from this to, three decades later, paintings of straight line grids and colored fields in three primary colors.

Mondriaan only found his unique voice (the grids) when he went to New York. He could always paint.
